Die-casting machine with multiplier The main patent no. 497 222 relates to a die-casting machine with a plunger that can be displaced in a press cylinder and with a pressure multiplier containing a stepped piston for generating increased pressure in the press cylinder towards the end of the working stroke of the press piston, which becomes the press cylinder working space leading pressure medium line can be shut off by means of a valve while the multiplier is working and the annular surface of the multiplier piston is unloaded and the large piston area of the same can be acted upon by a presettable pressure via a feed line controllable by means of a valve.
With such a training, the usual principle has been abandoned, in which the annular space of the multiplier cylinder is filled with pressure medium to apply a counterforce and emptied again to a certain extent with each working stroke. With the newly chosen path according to the main patent, in which the pressure medium application of this annulus was dispensed with, all the inconveniences and difficulties that such a design brought with it, in particular the problem of a large amount of pressure medium from the multi plikator annulus, are eliminated to dissipate quickly.
Since there is no longer a critical pressure medium load on the annular surface of the multiplier piston, the large area of the multiplier piston can be subjected to the most favorable pressure for the respective case, so that the multiplier and all of the following elements work optimally.
In order to supply the multiplier cylinder with the pressure medium for loading the large piston area of the multiplier at the right moment, a valve is provided in the pressure medium feed line, which is designated as a sequence valve. With regard to the quality of the products to be produced on the die-casting machine, it is important that the holding force to be applied by means of the multiplier after the mold has been filled reaches the desired value as quickly as possible. This results in the requirement for the sequence valve to keep the time required to open the valve as short as possible. It is also desirable that the sequence valve close again quickly at the end of the holding pressure phase.
The aim of the invention is to design the sequence valve in a die casting machine of the type mentioned in such a way that a quick response and short valve times are achieved in order to meet the aforementioned requirements for the process of the holding pressure process.
For this purpose, the invention provides that the switching valve contains a valve body displaceable in a main chamber of the valve housing, which in the rest position rests with its front part against a valve seat and thereby closes a line path leading from a pressure medium source to the multiplier cylinder space and the has a deposition between its two ends, which is constantly acted upon with the pressure medium of the pressure medium source, and that the part of the main chamber located behind the valve body is connected to a control chamber which, by means of a displaceable control member, is dependent on a control pressure acting on the same ent cannot be connected to a further pressure medium supply line or to an unpressurized outlet.
\ With such a training extremely short valve times can be achieved. As soon as the control pressure has reached the value given before, the valve body suddenly lifts from its seat. The diameter of the valve body is advantageously large and the stroke to be covered by it small, so that the full passage cross-section is immediately available and thus the large area of the multiplier piston is instantaneously under the effect of the desired pressure.
In order to press the valve body against its seat in the closed position of the valve, the operating pressure of the machine is expediently applied to the same on its rear side. In addition, a spring acting in the same direction can also be provided.
A particularly advantageous embodiment of the connecting valve is that the control element consists of two coaxially arranged control elements, of which one control element can be displaced alone under the action of the control pressure on a first section of its path, with a closure for the connecting path between rule the further pressure medium supply, the z. B. comes from a storage under the operating pressure, and forms the main chamber, and is displaceable on a second section of its path together with the other control element, the latter opening the main chamber to the outlet.
In such an embodiment, the supply of the pressure medium acting on the valve body on its rear side is first shut off and then the space located behind the valve body is vented. The valve body is torn from its seat at a precisely determined point in time under the effect of the pressure of the pressure which then only acts on it by means of the pressure medium source serving to supply the multiplier. By dividing the control member, a particularly favorable mode of operation with a clearly defined switching point is achieved.
In detail, the design can be such that one control element has a piston, a shaft and a driver for the other control element.
The other control element can be designed as a sleeve which has transverse bores serving as passages and a valve seat surface.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the connecting valve, in addition to a surface acted upon by the control pressure, a surface acted upon by a counterpressure can be provided on the control element. This also contributes to a particularly precise operation of the valve.
A memory can in particular serve to maintain a constant counterpressure. In this case, the design can also be made in such a way that the memory is connected to the further pressure medium source, eg, via a check valve provided in the control element. B. the operating pressure of the machine.
In the following, exemplary embodiments of the printing press according to the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. The figures show: FIG. 1 a multiplier design with an unloaded annular space of the multiplier cylinder, and FIG. 2 the design of a connecting valve in section. In the press cylinder 41 (FIG. 1) the press piston 42 can be displaced with its piston rod. The cylinder space 43 lying to the right of the plunger 42 in the drawing is designated as the working space and the space 44 lying to the left of the plunger 42 is designated as the retreat space.
The latter is supplied from a pressure medium source not specifically shown, e.g. a pump, from a line 46 via a directional valve 45 and a line 46a pressure medium supplied when the plunger 42 is to be pushed back into the right starting position shown in the drawing after the casting process.
In order to advance the plunger 42 in the other direction in order to carry out the casting process, pressure medium is supplied to the press cylinder working space 43 from the pressure medium source via the directional control valve 45 and a line 47. Numeral 49 denotes a piston pressure accumulator which can be switched on at a certain point in time by means of a controllable valve 50 and can quickly supply a larger amount of pressure medium to the press cylinder working chamber 43 via a line 48.
In a coaxial arrangement with the press cylinder 41, a multiplier cylinder 51 is arranged with a multipli katorkolben 52 displaceable therein. The same is a stepped piston with a part 52a of large diameter and an offset part 52b of smaller diameter. On its large piston surface 53 on the right in the drawing, the multiplier piston can be acted upon by a supply line 55 provided with a connecting valve 100 with pressure medium of a predetermined pressure. The annular space 58 located in front of the large part 52a of the multiplier piston 52 is connected to the atmosphere via a venting or leakage oil return line 59. The ring surface 60 of the multiplier piston 52 is thus constantly unloaded.
The front end of the stepped part 52b of the multi plikatorkolbens is seen with a conical valve surface 56 ver. In the part 57 of the cylinder 42 lying between this valve surface 56 and the plunger 42, a control sleeve 62 is slidably arranged, which on its end facing the part 52b of the multiplier piston has a valve seat 64 on which the valve surface 56 on part 52b of the multiplier piston can come to rest.
The movement of the control sleeve 62 in the direction of the multiplier piston 52 is limited by a stop surface 61 in the cylinder. Furthermore, the arrangement is such that the control sleeve 62 surrounds a hollow extension 71 of the multiplier piston, this extension 71 having a collar 72 at its front end, which forms a stop for the control sleeve 62 on this side. In its part adjacent to the valve surface 56 of the multiplier piston, the extension 71 has passages 63 for the pressure medium coming from the line paths 47 and 48 and to be supplied to the press cylinder working chamber 43.
From the press cylinder working space, a line 65 leads as a control line to a valve 101, which connects an outlet line 102 of the multiplier space 67 in its rest position with the tank, but shuts off this line while the multiplier is working. The valve 101 can e.g. be designed in the manner of a check valve, the valve body on the rear side is loaded in addition to a spring force with the pressure in the press cylinder working chamber 43 and in the line 65 pressure.
The control connection of the sequence valve 100 is also connected to the line 65 in order to open the same when a certain pressure is reached and thereby to connect the feed line 55 to the multiplier chamber 67 via the connection line 55a.
A pressure accumulator 68 is connected to the feed line 55. Feed line 55 and pressure accumulator 68 are connected via an adjustable pressure setting or pressure reducing valve 69 to a supply line 70, via which pressure medium can be supplied from a pressure medium source, not particularly shown, such as a pump. It can be the same pressure medium source to which the directional control valve 45 is connected. The pressure adjusting valve 69 ensures that the accumulator 68 is constantly charged with a predetermined pressure which is available to act on the large area 53 of the multiplier piston 52 when the feed line 55 is switched through by means of the valve 54.
The accumulator 49 can be kept filled at all times via a line 73 with a check valve 74 going out from the line 46.
2 shows the design of the connecting valve 100 in detail. In a main chamber 104 of the valve housing 105, a valve body 106 is slidably angeord net, which rests with a conical valve surface on a corresponding valve seat 107 in the rest position shown. In this position, the valve body 106 blocks the connection between the feed line 55 coming from the memory 68 (FIG. 1) and the connecting line 55a leading to the multiplier chamber 67.
Between its ends, the valve body 106 is provided with a conical or possibly also stepped shoulder 108 on which the pressure prevailing in the line 55 acts constantly. The valve body 106 is thus under a force, the magnitude of which results from the product of this pressure with the projection of the deposition 108 onto a plane directed transversely to the axis of the valve body 106.
This force, which seeks to lift the valve body 106 from its seat 107, is counteracted on the one hand by the force of a spring 109 resting against the back of the valve body and on the other hand by a force caused by a pressure on the rear surface of the valve body 106. This pressure medium is fed to the sequence valve 100 via a line 110 and can in particular be taken from the memory 49 (FIG. 1), in which the operating pressure of the machine prevails.
The main chamber 104 of the sequence valve 100 is connected via a housing bore 111 with a control chamber 112 in which a displaceable control member is arranged. This consists of two coaxially arranged elements 113, 114, of which one element 113 has a piston 113a sliding in a control cylinder 115, a shaft 113b and a collar 113e, while the other element 114 is a sleeve is formed, the passage-forming cross bores 116 contains and is provided at the end with a valve surface. In the rest position of the valve, the latter rests against a corresponding seat 117 of the housing 105.
The shaft 113b of the control element 113 passes through a chamber part 112a, which is connected to a pressureless outlet 118, and engages with its front end in the sleeve 114. The control line 65 is connected to the control cylinder 115, so that the large area 119 of the piston 113a on the right in FIG. 2 is constantly under the pressure prevailing in this control line 65.
With its end on the left in FIG. 2, the control element 114 projects into a cylinder space 120, in which a counterpressure acting on the surface 121 prevails. In order to keep this counter pressure constant, a storage 122 is connected to the cylinder space 120. The required filling of this memory takes place via a non-return valve 124 arranged in the control element 114 and loaded by a spring 123, with the pressure medium coming from the line 110. The counter pressure acting on the surface 121 is therefore kept equal to the operating pressure of the machine.
The sequence valve 100 described is used to initiate the holding pressure phase. At the beginning of the work sequence, the directional control valve 45 (FIG. 1) was adjusted so that pressure medium could flow into the press cylinder working space 43 via the line 47 and the passages 63 and the press piston 42 began to advance. In the second phase, the valve 50 is opened and thereby the pressure memory 49 is switched on. As a result of the amount of pressure medium now additionally flowing into the press cylinder working chamber 43 via the line 48, the press piston 42 is given a high speed.
If the die casting mold is filled with liquid metal towards the end of the plunger stroke, the pressure in the press cylinder working space 43 suddenly increases. This pressure is supplied as control pressure to the sequence valve 100 via line 65, so that the control piston 113a (FIG. 2) moves to the left under the action of this pressure on its surface 119 and pushes its shaft 113b into the sleeve 114. As a result, the connection between the supply line 110 and the main chamber 104 is blocked.
In the further course of the movement of the control element 113, the collar 113e rests against a shoulder of the sleeve 114 and thereby also pushes it to the left, the sleeve 114 lifting off the seat 117 and over the main chamber 104 connects the bore 111 and the space 112a to the unpressurized outlet 118. As a result, the rear surface of the valve body 106 is suddenly relieved and the pressure prevailing in the feed line 55, acting on the deposition 108 of the valve body 106, suddenly moves the valve body upwards. The connection between the feed line 55 and the connecting line 55a leading to the multiplier space 67 is thus established.
The multiplier piston 52 now moves forward, the valve surface 56 on the piston part 52b resting on the seat 64 of the control sleeve 62. In this way, the line paths 47 and 48 are blocked and thus the press cylinder working space 43 is separated from them. The control sleeve 62 had remained in place in the cylinder part 57 in its place in the cylinder part 57 until the valve surface 56 hit its seat 64 due to the pressures acting on its ends.
In the press cylinder working space 43 there is now the high pressure caused by the multiplier, as is required for the holding pressure phase. This pressure remains in effect over a period of time. If the amount of pressure medium provided by the pressure accumulator 68 is not sufficient on its own, further pressure medium is immediately supplied via the valve 69 at the correct pressure.
In order to retrieve the plunger 42 after the end of the casting process, the directional control valve 45 is switched over so that the line 47 is now connected to the tank, while the line 46a and thus the retraction chamber 44 flow to pressure medium. As a result, the plunger 42 moves to the right (Fig. 1) and pushes the pressure medium located in the space 43 via the passages 63 in the approach 71 of the multiplier piston 52, whereby it flows through the device 47 Lei. At the same time, the multiplier piston 52 itself is pushed back into its starting position shown in FIG. 1. Here, the collar 72 on the approach 71 takes the control sleeve 62 until it comes to rest against the stop surface 61 in the cylinder, whereby the movement is ended.
The pressure drop in the press cylinder working chamber 43 has at the same time resulted in the area 119 of the control piston 113a in the connecting valve 100 being relieved and thereby both control elements 113, 114 as a result of the pressure acting on the area 121 and the end face of the shaft 113b return to the initial position shown in FIG. As a result, the valve body 106 is again loaded on its rear side with the pressure of the pressure medium from the line 110 and immediately sits on its seat 107. Since the valve is closed.
The valve 101 (FIG. 1) had been closed by the pressure in the line 65 at the beginning of the holding pressure phase. At the end of the operation it is opened again by the pressure drop in the line 65, so that the space 67 of the multiplier cylinder 51 is now connected to the tank and the pressure medium displaced from the space 67 by the large piston part 52a during the retraction movement can flow freely.
The switching point of the sequence valve 100 can be precisely determined by the selection of the ratio of the areas 119 and 121.
