Description
Isolierverglasung
Double glazing
Known insulating glazing, in which two panes of glass with an airtight cavity between the panes of glass are installed in a frame, have the disadvantage that the frame part serving as a glass border is made of metal, such as lead, copper, aluminum, etc. Metal is easily damaged and exposed to the penetration of outside air into the cavity, in which latter case fogging of the panes becomes inevitable.
The present invention relates to insulating glazing which, in addition to good insulating properties, is also intended to ensure that the glazing is transparent for an unlimited period of time by avoiding the formation of condensate and oxide layers.
The characteristic feature of the invention is that a deformable elastic part is arranged in the insulating cavity, which part deforms when the pressure increases or decreases in the cavity.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown, namely show:
1 shows a partial cross-section through the insulating glazing according to section line I-I in FIG. 2 on a larger scale
2 shows a view of an insulating glazing window on a smaller scale.
In the illustrated embodiment of the insulating glazing, 1, 2 denotes two glass panes arranged at a distance from one another, which are held in a sealed manner in the mounting frame 4 made of rubber or elastic synthetic resin. The glass panes 1, 2 delimit the insulating cavity 3. The middle part of the mounting frame 4 located between the glass panes 1, 2 is U-shaped in cross-section and includes a hollow channel 6 serving as a pressure equalization chamber. The web of the U-shaped mounting frame 4 is in Arched towards the insulating cavity 3 and forms a deformable elastic part 5. The legs 4 'of the mounting frame 4 are angled outwards in a U-shape and the end legs 4 "encompass the panes 1, 2 lying between the latter and the legs 4' on their outer sides .
The cover frame 10, formed by a U-profile and made of metal, preferably aluminum, or plastic, is inserted into the hollow channel 6. The cover frame 10 lies within the hollow channel 6, and its web 10 "is turned outwards and is flush with the walls 4" 'of the mounting frame 4. The cover frame 10 closes the hollow channel 6 and stiffens the mounting frame 4 in the area of the legs 4', Ventilation holes 11 are located in the web 10 "at a distance from one another. The latter enable air to circulate from or into the hollow channel 6 when the hollow space 3 is reduced or enlarged by deforming the part 5. This deformation occurs when z. B. the pressure in the cavity 3, which is expediently filled with dry air or gas, rises and the part 5 is pressed against the web 10 ″ of the cover frame 10 or outwards.
If the pressure in the cavity 3 falls, the part 5 moves inwards again (in the case of FIG. 1 upwards) and air is drawn back into the hollow channel through the ventilation holes 11. The part 5 is covered on the side facing the cavity 3 with a metal, airtight or gas-tight film 12.
The cavity 3 filled with dry air or gas is exposed to changes in pressure due to changes in atmospheric temperature and pressure as well as due to the wind acting on the panes 1, 2, which causes the deformation of the part 5. The volume of the cavity 3 is thereby increased or decreased.
Instead of the ventilation holes 11 in the cover frame 10, ventilation holes 13 leading through the mounting frame 4 could be arranged; these are indicated in Fig. 1 by dash-dotted lines.
They penetrate the legs 10 'of the cover frame 10, the legs 4' of the mounting frame 4, the pane 2 and the legs 4 ″, and in turn connect the hollow channel to the outside or the free atmosphere.
