Device for closing bags
The present invention relates to a device for closing bags with a gathered closure.
Conventionally, bags intended for airtight packaging, particularly in small businesses, are closed by folding or twisting the bag openings and then pressing a clamp around the pressed or twisted bag neck. This creates a relatively good, but not guaranteed airtight seal. When using clamps there is also the risk of the bag being injured by the clamp. The aim of the present invention is to seal bags, in particular plastic bags, in a guaranteed airtight manner without great expense. This is achieved in that a spring-loaded ram is provided for compressing the closure part of the bag in a mold, largely independent of the bag size.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention will then be explained with reference to figures. Show it:
1 shows a side view of a bag sealing device with an inserted bag and adhesive tape,
FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II through a bag closure device according to FIG. 1,
FIG. 3 shows a section along line III-III through a bag sealing device according to FIG. 1.
The device comprises a support block 1 with two support walls 3. A shaft 5 is rotatably mounted in the two support walls 3. On the outside of one support wall 3, it carries a lever 7 with a handle 8, with the aid of which the shaft 5 can be rotated. The shaft 5 bridges a recess 10 formed by the two carrier walls 3. In this recess 10, it carries two cams 12, one of which is provided with a cam extension 14. A two-part connecting rod, consisting of a connecting rod piston 15 and a connecting rod cylinder 16, is rotatably fastened in the two cams 12 by means of a connecting rod bearing shaft 17. The other end of the connecting rod is also fastened in a ram 20 by means of a connecting rod bearing shaft 19.
The two rotatably mounted ends of the connecting rod are thickened so that they offer a spring seat to a compression spring 21, which the connecting rod cylinder 16 and the connecting rod piston 15 serve as a guide.
The ram 20 has a rectangular cross section. At its free end face of the Presstem pel 20 is provided with a rectangular groove 24, which is so in
The exception to the press ram 20 is that the end face has a tongue-like projection 25 on its upper side. The groove 24 is continued as a bore 13, a shoulder 26 being formed at the continuation point. In the bore 13 is a loaded by a spring 18
Pressing or holding piston 27 out. The ram 20 slides in a rectangular guide 28 of a guide block 23. A bottom surface 29 of the guide 28 is extended beyond this. It is limited at its front end by a stop 30. The leadership block
23 is by means of two bolts 22 between the support walls 3, i. fastened in the recess 10.
A return strip 32 is attached by means of two threaded bolts 33 each to one of the thickened connecting rod ends. At the end of the connecting rod attached to the ram 20, the retraction strip 32 has a slot 34 through which the one threaded bolt 33 is inserted. At the end of the cam extension 14, a transmission rod 36 is pivotably and displaceably mounted by means of a threaded bolt 37 which is inserted through a slot 39 in this rod 36 and the Noclienfortsatz 14. The transmission rod 36 is secured on the threaded bolt 37 by means of a nut 38. The other, hook-shaped bent ne end of the transmission rod 36 is fastened by means of a bolt 40 to a cutting plate 41, which rests laterally on the ram 20 and slides in a corresponding guide groove in the guide block 23 of the ram 20.
The end face 42 of the cutting tip 41 is beveled and ground to a cutting edge. A roll of adhesive tape 45 is rotatably mounted in a support on top of the bag closure device. The adhesive tape 46 is guided through a guide groove 47 in the guide block 23 under a guide roller 48 over the stop 30 and a blade 50 of a tape cutting device 51 which is fastened to the stop 30. In order to prevent the adhesive tape from sliding back, the adhesive surface of which is facing upwards, two guide brackets 52 are attached to the side of the blade 50, these slightly overlap pend, which are in contact with the adhesive surface of the tape 46 and hold it back on the blade 50.
The bag opening 53 is folded up or twisted, applied to the adhesive tape 46 emerging from the guide block 23 and placed with this on the support surface 29 between the stop 30 and the guide block 23. The lever 7 is then pivoted downwards in the counterclockwise direction via the handle 8, as a result of which the press ram 20, pushed by the strong compression spring 21, is moved against the stop 30. This movement initially takes place without any noticeable spring compression. The spring piston 27, loaded with only a very weak spring 18, is pressed so far backwards until the shoulder 26 of the groove 24 in the press ram 20 hits the bag opening or the adhesive tape surrounding it. During this movement, the projection 25 slides over the bag opening. It pulls the upper loop of adhesive tape 54 with it.
It is placed with its adhesive surface on the adhesive surface of the lower adhesive tape loop 55. If the lever 7 is now pressed further down, the press ram 20 presses the bag opening 53 further together via the shoulder 26, the leverage of the lever 7 being transmitted to the press ram 20 via the compression spring 21. As a result of the great pressing force that arises, the bag opening is pressed together in such a way that an almost reliable seal is created. While the lever 7 is pivoted downwards, the threaded bolt 37 has reached the end stop of the slot 39 in the transmission rod 36, whereby this is now also pushed. As a result, the cutting plate 41 is moved forwards along the press ram 20 and the bag opening is trimmed flush with the press ram 20. The bag opening is now properly closed.
The adhesive tape loop 54 can be pulled over the blade 50 of the tape cutting device 51, where the double-guided tape is cut.
When the lever 7 is pivoted back, the spring piston 27 prevents the pressed bag neck with the ram 20 and the cutting plate 41 from sliding backwards by pushing them slightly forwards. After the adhesive tape has been capped and the lever 7 pivoted back, the closed bag can be lifted out. The adhesive tape loop 54 is held in place by the guide bracket 52 so that the next bag can be inserted immediately. In order to make the air seal of the bag opening absolutely safe, an electrical heating plate 56 is provided on the carrier block 1, to which the end of the bag opening cut smooth by the cutting plate 41 is welded shut. The device described is used in many small businesses, e.g. Butchers enable you to pack your own goods so that they are absolutely airtight for longer storage.
The device is universal in the sense that it can be used for large and small bags. With thicker binding points, the compression spring 21 is compressed more until it is compressed into the end position than with thinner ones, in which the compression spring 21 is compressed later and therefore less. Therefore, the pressing pressure, which is advantageous, is greater with the larger bag than with the smaller one.
