Spacer for reinforcement close to the formwork
The invention relates to a spacer for reinforcement near the formwork.
The invention is based on the object of holding a horizontal, inclined or vertical reinforcement at a predetermined distance above or next to a formwork immediately adjacent to it and, for this purpose, a spacer for such a formwork-near, ie. H. to create reinforcement immediately adjacent to the formwork, which can be manufactured at low cost and quickly installed on the reinforcement in a simple manner, is stable, remains stationary in the correct position even on inclined or vertical reinforcement bars, is suitable for reinforcement bars of a relatively large diameter range and neither leads to cavities when concreting nor to the rust spots on the outside of the concrete, which are undesirable with exposed concrete.
This is achieved with the spacer according to the invention, which is characterized by a spacer made of plastic, which has a base which is intended to rest against the formwork, and a support surface for a reinforcing rod and a resilient wire clip with two directions from the spacer in approximately opposite directions outgoing legs which are bent like a hook at the free end in order to grip on both sides of the spacer over a reinforcing rod placed on its support surface and to hold it pressed against the support surface.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing. Show it:
1 shows a perspective view of a spacer fastened to a reinforcing rod, which is partially shown, for reinforcement close to the formwork,
FIG. 2 shows the spacer according to FIG. 1 in a view from below, without the reinforcing rod,
Fig. 3 shows a partial section along the line III-III in Fig. 2, on a larger scale.
The spacer shown consists of a spacer 1 and a resilient wire clip 2.
The spacer 1 is made of concrete-gray plastic and has a base 11, which is intended to rest on the (not shown) formwork, and a support surface 12 for a reinforcing rod 3. The wire clip 2 has two legs extending from the spacer 1 in approximately opposite directions 21, which are bent at the free end to form a hook 22 which grips over the reinforcing rod 3 in order to keep it pressed against the support surface 12.
The spacer 1 consists of a foot 13 and a head 14. The foot has the narrow base 11, the length of which runs approximately at right angles to the clamp legs 21 and projects beyond the head 14 on both sides. The head 14 has the concave, cylindrically curved support surface 12 and protrudes beyond the foot 13 on both sides in the direction of the bracket legs 21. The radius of curvature of the support surface 12 is at least the same, but is suitably slightly larger than the radius of the thickest reinforcing bars for which the spacer is to be used .
The clamp 2 has a central U-shaped part, the U-legs 23 of which are each held in a groove 15 on the underside of the head 14. The width of the grooves on their open side is slightly smaller than the diameter of the wire from which the clamp 2 is made. The U-legs 23 are pressed into the grooves 15. During this pressing in, the groove edges yield elastically and then they hold the wire so firmly in the grooves that the clamp 2 does not come loose from the spacer 1 during storage, transport and when attaching the spacer to the reinforcing rod 3. When the spacer 1 is attached to the reinforcing rod 3, the U-legs 23 are additionally held in the grooves 15 by the spring force of the wire clamp. The clamp 2 is angled directly at the ends of the grooves 15 and is thus secured against displacement in the grooves 15.
The free end of each clamp leg 21 is angled twice in such a way that a V-shaped hook 22 is formed, the legs of which are equally inclined in opposite directions with respect to the plane of the base 11, and its apex in the diameter plane of the cylindrical, which is perpendicular to the base 11 Support surface 12 is. This ensures that the hook-shaped angled ends 22 of the bracket legs, regardless of the diameter of the reinforcing rod 3, always rest on two mutually opposite points of the lateral surface of the reinforcing rod 3 parallel to the plane of the base area and hold this rod at the lowest point of the support surface 12.
Instead of tapering the grooves on the outside somewhat in order to hold the U-legs in place, or in addition to this tapering, after the wire clip has been inserted into the grooves, projections (not shown) on the groove edges can also be formed by local hot pressing in order to close the wire clip hold.
As can be seen, the spacer described in connection with the drawing consists only of a simple plastic part, namely the spacer, and a one-piece wire clip that has no acute-angled bends and is therefore easy to manufacture. These two components are simply put together in that the U-legs are pressed into the grooves. Since these legs (and accordingly also the grooves) run parallel to each other, these components fit together in two 1800 mutually twisted positions, which facilitates assembly. The spacer can therefore be produced with little effort.
The spacer can be easily and quickly attached to the reinforcement rod, whereupon it is fixed to the reinforcement rod by the spring force of the wire clip and does not slip on a vertical reinforcement rod the smallest distance from the base, whereby this predetermined distance is reliably maintained. Since the spacer with the narrow base rests against the formwork, and the reinforcing rod touches the support surface practically linearly, it is largely excluded that, for. B.
coarse grains of sand could prevent compliance with the predetermined distance.
The shape of the spacer practically excludes the formation of cavities when pouring the concrete, and the wire clip cannot give rise to the formation of such cavities.
The wire clip is always far enough away from the plane of the base surface that it cannot lead to rust spots on the outside of the concrete, and the concrete-gray spacer is practically invisible on the outside of the concrete.
