Continuously working mixing and feeding device
The present invention relates to a continuously operating mixing and kneading device with a two-part housing that can be opened in the longitudinal direction and a motor-adjustable outlet nozzle for changing the outlet cross-section, the shaft being guided continuously through the nozzle. The device is particularly suitable for processing carbon electrodes, salt mixtures, macromolecular compounds, dyes, viscose xanthate, bread dough, etc.
When operating continuously working mixing and kneading devices, it is necessary to keep the operating conditions of the device constant in order to always produce the product evenly. However, changes in the material supply or composition or the pressure and temperature conditions affect the properties of the kneaded material. The pressure conditions in the mixing and kneading housing are determined by the available outlet cross-section at the outlet of the device.
In order to change the pressure conditions, nozzles and movable flaps are usually used, the adjustment mostly being carried out manually by the operating personnel. A few motorized adjustable outlet nozzles have already been proposed which, however, were far too complicated both in construction and in operation and were not widely used due to their susceptibility to failure.
The purpose of the invention is to propose a continuously operating mixing and kneading device with a two-part housing that can be opened in the longitudinal direction and a motor-adjustable outlet nozzle, which is simple and robust and is also suitable for high pressures. The continuously operating mixing and kneading device mentioned at the beginning is characterized in that the nozzle has a flap consisting of at least two arched segments, which segments are adjustable by a common actuating element, the actuating element having a self-locking spindle. To drive the self-locking spindle, a compressed air motor can expediently be provided, the shaft of which is connected to a spindle nut via a coupling.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, namely:
1 shows an only partially drawn mixing and kneading device in a side view with a motorized flap nozzle,
FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section along the line II-II in FIGS. 1 and
FIG. 3 shows a vertical section along the line III-III in FIG. 1.
The mixing and kneading device has a housing 1, only partially shown, which consists of two halves and can be divided in the vertical center plane. To unfold the two housing halves apart, motor-operated supports 2 are provided. The end of the housing 1 is provided with a flange 3 to which a corresponding flange 4 of the nozzle housing 5 is connected. In this nozzle housing 5, a flap consisting of two flap halves 6 and 7 is arranged, the flap halves being designed as curved segments and each having a cutout 8 on the edges facing one another. In the closed position shown in FIG. 3, the flap halves 6 and 7 adapt almost completely to the continuous shaft core 9 of the mixing and kneading device. The open position is shown in dashed lines in this figure.
The flap halves 6 and 7 are each rotatably connected to a vertical shaft, which shaft is received in corresponding lateral bearings in the nozzle housing 5. At the upper end of the vertical shafts 10 a lever 11 and 12 is arranged, which are directed radially against each other. The lever 11 is equipped at its end facing away from the shaft 10 with a bolt 13 which extends vertically upwards and is guided in a corresponding slot 14 of the lever 12-. In this way, the levers 11 and 12 are connected to one another in such a way that the actuation of one lever entrains the other lever.
A compressed air motor 15 is provided as the actuating element, which has a shaft 16 rotating at about 30-50 rpm. The shaft 16 is connected via a coupling 17 to a spindle nut 18, which is received in a support 19 by means of axial bearings 20. A spindle 21 cooperates with the spindle nut 18 and is moved axially back and forth by the rotation of the spindle nut 18. The other end of the spindle 21, which extends out of the spindle nut 18, is provided with a fork 22 which is connected to the lever 11 by means of a bracket 23.
The compressed air motor 15 is controlled with the aid of a control element 24, which has a compressed air supply line 25 and lines 26 leading to the motor 15. Furthermore, a connecting line 27 leads from the control element 24 to a measuring element 28, the latter being arranged in the housing 1 of the kneading-mixing device. With the help of this measuring element 28 z. B. the pressure is measured in the kneader and control commands are given to the motor 15 accordingly.
Depending on whether the pressure is high or low, the flap halves 6 and 7 are opened more or less. Furthermore, two limit switches can also be present in the movement path of the spindle 21. One limit switch switches off the motor when the closed position of the flap halves 6 and 7 is reached, while the other switches off the motor when the flap halves 6 and 7 are in the fully open position.
The described motorized adjustment of the flap halves reacts very quickly to changes in the product properties, so that the product turns out to be absolutely uniform. The automatic control can take place not only as a function of the pressure, but also as a function of the temperature or the viscosity.
The drive of the flap halves is self-locking, so that no actuating forces are required to maintain a certain position. Instead of the compressed air motor, an electric motor or an oil motor can also be present. Only small actuating forces are required to adjust the flap halves, since the flap halves are mounted in such a way that the material pressure is transmitted in a straight line to the main pivot point. There is also no risk of the closed flaps opening themselves due to material pressure.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the flaps also consist of several segments, e.g. B. in the form of an iris diaphragm, so that they adapt completely to the continuous shaft core in the closed position. In most cases, however, the much simpler version with only two flap halves is sufficient.
