Fluid valve
The present invention relates to a valve for fluid, with electromagnetic control, comprising a movable valve connected to a movable part of an electromagnetic control device, in which the connection between the valve and said movable part is made very simply. In addition, this connection makes it possible to obtain a damped drive and high resistance to wear.
The valve according to the invention is characterized in that the valve and the moving part each have one of the two parts of a coupling, one of the parts having a housing into which the other part is introduced with play, these parts two parts delimiting between them an annular space in which is housed an O-ring whose outer diameter is larger than the inlet diameter of the housing and whose inner diameter is smaller than the diameter of a bulge of the part engaged in housing.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, a sectional view of an embodiment of the valve which is the subject of the invention.
The fluid valve shown is constituted by a body 1 comprising a supply chamber 2 and a supply chamber 3, these two chambers having threaded bores allowing their connection respectively to a supply pipe and to a fluid outlet pipe. controlled by the valve.
At the upper part of this valve is a closure piece 4 fixed to the body 1 by means of bolts 5, sealing being provided by an O-ring 6 placed in a circular groove 7 formed in the body of said valve.
The closure part 4 carries a tubular cylindrical part 8 made of non-ferromagnetic material, inside which a movable ferromagnetic core 9 of cylindrical shape can slide. This core ends, at its lower part, with a head 10 engaged in a housing 11 of a valve 12 and retained with play in this housing by an O-ring 13 disposed in a circular groove 14 formed in the valve.
As can be seen, the outer diameter of this O-ring 13 is larger than the inlet diameter of the housing 11, while the inner diameter of the O-ring is smaller than the diameter of the head 10 which constitutes a bulge of the terminal part of nucleus 9.
The valve 12 is subjected to the action of a spring 16 tending to move it away from the closure part 4 and to apply it to the seat 17 of the valve. This spring is placed in the conical chamber delimited by the closure part 4. It surrounds the lower part of the movable core 9 and the body of the valve 12 on which it rests.
The tubular cylindrical part 8 is surrounded by an electric winding 18 of cylindrical shape and covered by a cap 19.
The valve 12 comprises an annular seal 24 formed by an elastomeric washer. The inner and outer edges of this washer fit into recesses 25, respectively 26, formed on the side parts of an annular groove 27 hollowed out in the body of the valve 12. The middle part of the annular seal 24 faces the seat. 17 on which it is applied when the valve is in the closed position.
A communication hole 29, drilled on the annular rim of the valve 12, allows the passage of the fluid from the chamber 2 to the rear of the seal 24, so as to ensure the balance of the pressures on the two faces of this seal in position. open the valve. A filter 28, arranged around the seat 17, prevents the passage of impurities which could obstruct the communication hole 29.
As shown in the drawing, in the closed position of the valve 12, the head 10 rests against the bottom of the housing 11 and is moved away from the seal 13. When the core 9 moves upwards under the effect of the magnetic attraction produced by a current flowing in the winding 18, the first part of the stroke of this core is done freely, without driving the valve 12. As a result, the core 9 takes a certain speed, and when the head 10 comes cooperating with the seal 13, the kinetic energy already stored by the core in the first part of its stroke helps to ensure rapid detachment of the valve to cause the opening of the valve. Thanks to the elasticity of the O-ring, the drive of the valve 12 is obtained without sudden shock, which greatly reduces the stresses.
