Fig. 1 zeigt die Schaltstückanordnung im Schnitt.
Fig. 2 zeigt die Schaltstückanordnung in Draufsicht.
Contact arrangement for an electrical switching device, in particular for a contactor
The invention relates to a contact piece arrangement for an electrical switching device, in particular for a contactor, with at least one fixed contact piece having the shape of an unequal-limbed U, the longer limb serving for the power connection and one or more in the longitudinal direction of the limb for receiving is provided with fastening holes provided by fastening & screws and the shorter leg carries a contact-making contact piece support on the surface facing away from the longer leg,
which, in the direction of the arc, abuts against an iron sheet provided for the extension of the arc contact surface and having the width of the contact piece support.
When switching off larger currents, the general aim is to move the resulting arc as quickly as possible away from the point of origin into special extinguishing arrangements to protect the contact material. U-shaped cranked contact piece arrangements are known, in which the contact-making contact piece supports in the direction of the arc run are provided with an extension made of sheet iron to promote the arc run. The iron sheet is connected to the switch piece and to the contact piece support by hard soldering.
In order to be able to attach the contact piece, which has the shape of an unequal U, attachment holes are made in the longer leg. A hole is cut out in the sheet iron near the contact piece support for access to the fastening screw.
As a result, the arc set in motion can be driven to the side of the arcing chamber wall. Disadvantages of this solution are that the walls of the arcing chamber are heavily stressed and that the arc is not driven into the center of the special extinguishing arrangement, which is advantageously made up of arcing plates. Due to these disadvantages, the switching device is reduced like the switching device.
U-shaped cranked contact pieces have resilient properties which, without special measures, can lead to the contacts bouncing. To stiffen U-shaped contact pieces, a solution is known in which the extension of the shorter limb connected to the shorter limb of the U4-shaped contact piece and connected to the contact piece support by brazing is attached to the longer limb by brazing.
According to a further solution, the extension of the shorter leg, which is made of sheet iron and is connected to the shorter leg of the UH-shaped switching piece and connected to the Schaltstückaufiage by brazing, is attached to the longer leg in an isolated manner by screw connections. The disadvantage of these solutions is the complicated manufacturing process caused by the brazing of three different materials.
The object of the invention is to specify a switching element arrangement that is suitable for the construction of switching devices with a high breaking capacity and that is easy to manufacture.
The problem is solved by the fact that the free end of the shorter leg is clamped between an iron sheet guided under the shorter leg under the contact piece support and the iron sheet provided for the extension of the arc running surface, the two iron sheets with a BSefes, tigungsschrawbe on the longer leg are attached in an electrically conductive manner and the sheet iron provided for the extension of the arc running surface has no holes or slots within the area provided for the arc movement.
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows the contact piece arrangement in section.
Fig. 2 shows the contact piece arrangement in plan view.
The fixed contact piece 1 carries the contact piece support 2. The fixed contact piece 1 is first attached to the switching device with the screw 3. Thereafter, the lower iron sheet 4 is pushed under the shorter leg of the fixed contact piece 1 and then the upper iron sheet 5 is placed. Both iron sheets 4 and 5 are fastened with the screw 6 on the longer leg of the fixed contact piece without any insulating intervening. The screw 6 also serves to fasten the fixed contact 1 on the switching device.
The iron sheet 5 forms the desired extension of the arc running surface. The transition resistance between the iron sheet 5 and the contact piece 1 is smaller under the screw 6 than I at the Klenunstelle of the shorter leg. Therefore, the current will commutate from the shorter leg of the contact piece 1 to the iron sheet 5 during the arc runtime, whereby the magnetic blowing effect of the blowing loop of the contact piece is advantageously canceled. If the blowing force on the arc does not decrease,
if this has set in motion and has left the switching element 2, there is a risk that individual partial arcs will move too quickly to the rear edge of the arc plate and cause greater combustion there. In Fig. 1, the quenching and delimiting plates 7 and 8 immediately adjacent to the contact piece arrangement are shown for orientation.
The arrangement according to the invention is mechanically stable enough to prevent the contacts from bouncing when switched on and to give the contact piece the necessary static strength.
A further advantage of the inventive switching piece arrangement is that the fastening screw 3 attached in the vicinity of the arcing is well covered against the effects of arcing, which ensures that the switching piece 1 can be easily replaced.
