Fig. 1 schematisch eine Ausführungsform einer bekannten Wellendichtung mit einer festen Regeldrosselung;
Fig. 2 schematisch eine Ausführungsform der Wellendichtung nach der Erfindung mit Regeldrosselnip peln an der Gehäusewand;
Fig. 3 schematisch eine weitere Ausführungsform im Schnit längs der Linie III der Fig. 4, wobei Regeldrosselnippel am Rücken des Dichtringes vorgesehen sind;
Fig. 4 einen Schnitt längs der Linie IV der Fig. 3.
Hydrostatic shaft seal acted upon by the working pressure
The present invention relates to a hydrostatic shaft seal acted upon by the working pressure and having a working throttle gap, in which the working pressure acts as a closing pressure on a sealing ring.
The known hydrostatic seals with the working pressure as the closing pressure either require an extremely expensive production since the sealing surfaces cannot lie in one plane or, if they work with a fixed throttle between the working and intermediate pressure, an absolutely pure medium. The closing pressure is that pressure which, if it occurred alone, would force the leakage gaps to close.
The invention is based on the object of reducing the production problems of the hydrostatic seals with the working pressure as the closing pressure without using the dirt-sensitive fixed throttling between working pressure and intermediate pressure.
To achieve this object, the invention provides that a further throttle gap is formed between the back of the sealing ring exposed to the working pressure and a wall part of the housing to throttle a control flow present between areas of the working pressure and the intermediate pressure.
Through this measure it can be achieved that both the throttling of the main flow and the throttling of the regulating flow take place between parts moving relative to one another, which is known to be associated with a very low sensitivity to dirt. In this case, all sealing webs or sealing nipples can lie in planes that allow the surfaces to be easily produced by lapping or grinding.
Two exemplary embodiments are explained below with reference to the drawings in comparison with a known hydrostatic seal with fixed throttling. Show it:
1 schematically shows an embodiment of a known shaft seal with a fixed control throttle;
Fig. 2 schematically shows an embodiment of the shaft seal according to the invention with Regeldrosselnip peln on the housing wall;
FIG. 3 shows schematically a further embodiment in section along the line III of FIG. 4, with control throttle nipples being provided on the back of the sealing ring; FIG.
4 shows a section along line IV in FIG. 3.
In the embodiments shown in the figures, elements with the same functions are designated with corresponding digits, namely in Fig. 1 (known embodiment) with primed numbers and in Figs. 3 and 4 (second Ausführungsw form of the shaft seal according to the invention) partially with the addition a.
A hydrostatic seal has a sealing ring 1, 1 ', which is connected via an elastic seal 2, 2' to a support sleeve 3, 3 'in a torque-transmitting and sealing manner, the elastic seal 2, 2' axially displacing and slightly wobbling Sealing ring 1, 1 'relative to the shaft to be sealed 4, 4' allowed. The support sleeve 3, 3 'is firmly connected to the shaft 4, 4'. The corresponding outer leakage gaps 5, 5 'and inner leakage gaps 6, 6' delimit an intermediate pressure space 7, 7 ', which is also fed by a control flow from a channel 10, 10a, 10'. This regulating flow arises from the pressure difference between the working pressure and the intermediate pressure and flows through the throttle point 8, 8 '.
The sealing ring 1, 1 'seals against the housing 9, 9' and is held by the control current at a certain distance from the sealing surfaces of the housing.
The difference between the known designs and the subject of the invention lies in the different design of the control throttle point 8, 8 '.
In the present shaft seal, the throttle point 8 (FIGS. 2, 3) consists of a small gap between the end faces of several nipples 12, 12a and a surface 11, 11a that is moved relative to it. Here, according to FIG. 2, the regulating throttle nipple 12 can be fixedly attached to a wall part of the housing 9, the throttle surface 11 being moved with the sealing ring 1. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the regulating throttle nipples 12a are formed on the rotating sealing ring 1, the throttle surface 11a being formed by a solid wall part of the housing 9.
So that no undesired torque can act on the sealing ring 1, the regulating throttle nipples 12, 12a are advantageously arranged regularly around the center of the shaft. In Fig. 4 an arrangement of the nipple 12a of the embodiment of Fig. 3 is shown at equal angular intervals.
