Fig. 1 zeigt eine auf ein Rohr in horizontaler Lage und montierter Vorrichtung in Ansicht von oben und teilweise im Schnitt;
Device for contracting cement pipes
The present invention relates to a device for contracting cement pipes. In the previously used method of contraction, a pipe is first laid and fixed. A long wire rope is pulled through this first pipe and pulled into a well-known Habegger winch.
The end of the wire rope is then pulled through the second pipe to be laid and attached to a crossbeam. Then the winch is operated by two or three workers who pull the two pipes together. This happens in the same way for every pipe that is laid further. Since the pulling winch remains with the first pipe until the entire line has been laid, all pipes that have already been laid are pulled together again for each new pipe.
This has the major disadvantage that the bitumen tapes inserted between the pipes, which are intended to seal the joints, are pressed out, which means that the line is no longer airtight and, in the case of smaller pipes, even socket pieces may be blown off.
The new device wants to avoid these disadvantages, since with its help only two pipes are drawn together and the device is moved forward again. The suppliers of the bitumen tapes stipulate a certain joint size, which depends on the pipe diameter and ensures a tight pipe. With the help of the new device, this mass can be precisely maintained.
The device according to the invention is characterized by a first part with holding members that can be placed on an already laid pipe, with an at least approximately semicircular bracket which can be clamped to the pipe in the region of its ends by means of wedges and a second part with pulling members that can be placed on a pipe to be laid , which is supported by means of two bearing blocks penetrated by a shaft on the free end of the pipe to be laid, which 'called shaft carries a pulley at both ends on which ropes attached in the area of the ends of the bracket can be wound, for which the shaft is attached to it Hole hubs is provided, in the holes of which a rod can be inserted, with the help of which the ropes are wound onto the rollers in order to pull the pipes together.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown:
1 shows a device mounted on a pipe in a horizontal position and in a view from above and partially in section;
Fig. 2 shows a part of the same device with the pulling members in a view from the front and
3 shows another part of the device with the clamping members, in a view from the front.
The device essentially has two parts which are connected to one another by means of ropes. The first part is a holding part with an essentially semicircular bracket 7 that can be placed on an already laid pipe 1 and clamped to it. In the region of its ends, the bracket is provided with bolts 8, 8a. Wedges 11, 11a are driven between the bolts 8, 8a and the outer wall of the pipe, with the aid of which the bracket is held on the pipe.
Retaining bolts 9, 9a for the wire ropes are welded to the outside of the bracket ends. In the middle of the bracket there is a screw-in handle 10, with the help of which the bracket can be attached in such a way that the wedges engage below the center of the pipe. This means that the bracket can be adapted to different pipe diameters.
The handle 10 also serves as a carrying handle.
The second part contains the pulling organs. It comprises two bearing blocks 3, 3a through which a shaft 4 passes.
The shaft carries pulleys 5, Sa at both ends. The bearing blocks are placed on the free end of a pipe 2 to be laid.
In the middle part of the shaft, between the bearing blocks, two hole hubs 6, 6a are attached to the shaft. In the bearing blocks screws 15, 15a are attached, with the help of which the shaft can be locked. Wire ropes 12, 12a are looped around the pulleys and have loops at their free ends that grip the retaining bolts 9, 9a.
When driving the wedges 11, 11a between the pipe wall and the bracket, make sure that the wedges are always driven in opposite to the direction of pull. The pull exerted on the bracket by the ropes 12, 12a will then possibly tighten the wedges even more firmly. When the device is in operation, rods are inserted into the holes of the hole hubs 6, 6a, with the aid of which the shaft is rotated and the cables 12, 12a are wound onto the cable pulleys 5, 5a. In this way, pipe 2 can be pressed onto pipe 1. The sealing tape 13 placed in between can then always be pressed with the desired tension. The screws 15, 15a allow the shaft to be locked afterwards so that the ropes do not unwind from the pulleys, since the pipe length is usually the same.
