Device with duplicator for printing full-page, line-by-line or section-wise texts from printing forms arranged on one of the printing elements on cards
The invention relates to a device with a duplicator for printing full-page, line-by-line or section-wise texts from printing forms arranged on one of the printing elements directly or via offset cylinders on cards, the printing being carried out line by line by appropriate control of the multiplier, with a corresponding data carrier on which the printable information is also shown in whole or in part by means of mechanically, electrically, optically or magnetically scannable registrations,
as well as with a device assigned to the duplicator for scanning these registrations which are wholly or partially stored in the meantime.
Rotary duplicators have become known in which the pulses from the scanning device are directed to a punching unit associated with the rotary duplicator and the cards were inevitably printed and punched one after the other with information that matched ideas before they were put down.
According to the invention, the drive of the transport device for the data carrier in the scanning device is set in motion by a switch operated by hand or by a machine function part of the duplicator, and the data carrier runs with simultaneous electromagnetic lifting of the scanning elements of the scanning device to the first line of the registrations to be scanned a, where it is stopped by a special registration arranged in the data carrier.
The invention can be designed in such a way that the motor drive; the transport device for the data carrier is carried out line by line by means of a gear ratio and an interposed Geneva cross gear, in that the initial pulse is given by the punching device and the end pulse is given to the motor by the driving element , whereby a brake motor is preferably used, the braking device of which is also actuated by the driving element of the Maltese cross gear.
Appropriately, the invention can also be designed in such a way that after the last registered line has been scanned, the transport device for the data carrier receives an initial pulse from a switch operated by hand or by the duplicator, which transports the data carrier out of the scanning device and the end pulse from the data carrier itself cooperating switch is generated.
The registrations scanned by the scanning elements of the scanning device expediently enter a pyramid-like decoder or memory. This causes a simultaneous decoding and storage of the values for the purpose of forwarding, e.g. B.
to the perforating device of the bin.
Furthermore, the device can be designed in such a way that the first scanned line of registrations on the data carrier enters a storage unit or decoder that cannot be erased during processing of the entire data carrier, and the following scanned lines of the data carrier enter another decoder or memory by switching the effect the scanning elements arrive one after the other, which are then deleted by the execution of the next step of the transport device of the data carrier and readjusted by the registrations of the following line.
The scanning device can have a further control element for controlling the duplicator depending on the scanning device in such a way that if a data carrier is not present in the scanning device, the release of the single-turn clutch of the duplicator is blocked by means of a control switch for the single-speed clutch.
In the drawings, the invention is shown in some exemplary embodiments. It shows:
1 shows the device in a schematic representation from the creation of the printing form to the storage of the printed and perforated card;
2 shows a data carrier in card form;
3 shows the side view of a scanning device with the left side wall omitted;
FIG. 4 shows the plan view according to FIG. 3;
5 shows the electrical circuit diagram for the control of the scanning device;
6 shows the electrical circuit diagram for decoding the line information;
7 shows the electrical circuit diagram for decoding and storing the header information;
8 shows the electrical circuit diagram from the evaluation of the information perforations to the application of voltage to a magnet assigned to a perforation device.
1 shows the entire process from the creation of the printing form 1 on a writing device 2 and the simultaneous creation of the data carrier 3 on a perforating device 5 electrically coupled to the writing device 2 through the cable 4 to the storage of the printed and perforated card 6 shown.
In particular, those duplicators are used in the invention in which the line-by-line printing takes place through appropriately controlled interaction of the printing elements. However, duplicators can also be used in which the line-by-line printing is controlled by other parts of the duplicator, e.g. B. clamping devices, covers or the moistening or coloring is achieved.
In particular, duplicators that work as spirit transfer duplicators can be used, but flat or letterpress duplicators, which are based on the direct or indirect lithographic principle or letterpress verfahnen, e.g. B. screen embossing process, work, find use.
The punching device 5 can also be designed as a writing device in order to be able to make the registrations for optical reading or the registrations for magnetic reading. The values read from the data carrier 3 by means of the scanning device 8 are entered via the cable 7 into the decoder 39, from which they are forwarded via the cable 40 to the punch card punch 41.
The pressure cylinder 42, which works together with the counter-pressure roller 130, is triggered by the magnet 114 placed under tension in such a way that the release lever 116 pivoting about the bearing point 115 releases the pawl 117 of the single-speed clutch, not shown, and the pressure cylinder 42 rotates. The button 118 controls whether the duplicator is in duplication or in line printing. When the switch 119 is closed, the duplication process is switched on, and the pressure cylinder 42 can be triggered via the foot switch 121 when the opener 120, which will be explained in more detail in relation to FIG. 5, is not actuated.
When the card 6 printed by the printing forme 1 fastened on the printing cylinder 42 enters the punch card punch 41, the card is perforated and then transported to the storage area.
In Fig. 2, a data carrier 3 is shown in box form, which, as shown by way of example, can be designed as DIN A4 format. This data carrier 3 has significant organizational advantages. The numerical division 49 from head, 1 to 32 means that the marking fields 50 lying horizontally behind each number of the division 49 or behind the head together give the header information or the values for the relevant line. In the example given, 20 positions are assigned to each line, as illustrated by the numerical division 51, each of which ranges between the values from 0 to 9, e.g. B. in the 4-digit code. The brush set 52 required for scanning is composed of 81 brushes 53. The places are, such as
B.! Is encrypted by a 4-digit code, the value of the individual positions being formed by the arrangement of the information perforations 54 within the complex of positions. A brush 53 is assigned to the control hole 55, and a brush 53 cooperates with the data carrier 3 directly. The function of these two brushes is explained in more detail in connection with FIG. The transport holes 56 are provided for the line-by-line transport of the data carrier 3.
3 and 4 show a scanning device which evaluates the information perforations 54 of the data carrier 3 or forwards them to a decoder and transports the data carrier 3 line by line.
Via the gear 11 mounted on the shaft 9 of the brake motor 10, the gear 13 mounted on the shaft 12 is driven and at the same time the driving wheel 14 of a known Geneva drive, which is also mounted on the shaft 12, is set in rotation.
The roller 15 of the driving wheel 14 engages in one of the slots 16 of the driven wheel 17 of the Maltese cross and moves it in the direction of the arrow until the roller 15 comes out of the relevant slot 16 again and the driven wheel is immediately brought to a standstill by means of the locking drum 18 is, the driving wheel 14 remains in its basic position shown in Fig. 2 by the switched off again, fixed on the base plate 38 brake motor 10. The switches 47 and 48, which are explained in more detail in relation to FIG. 5, control the stationary magnet 122, which works together with the brake shoe 123 fastened to its armature and the brake cylinder 124 fastened to the gear 11 and with the spring 125.
The gear 19, which, like the driven gear 17, is fastened on the shaft 20, transmits the rotational movement carried out to the gear 22 fastened on the shaft 21, whereby the transport wheels 23 and 24, which are also fastened on the shaft 21, connect to the data carrier 3 on it Carry out a line step in the direction of arrow A. Via the brush 52 attached to the bearing pins 25 and 26, the values read from the data carrier 3 are entered into a decoder, as will be shown in more detail in relation to FIG. 6. The brush 52 is thereby pressed the compression springs 43 and 44 onto the data carrier 3.
If the magnet 46 mounted in the bearing bracket 45, as will be described in more detail in relation to FIG. 5, is energized, the brush 52, rotating about the bearing pins 25 and 26, is lifted from the data carrier 3.
The data carrier 3 is guided in the guide strips 27, 28, 29 and 30, which are attached to the side walls 31 and 32. In order to prevent oxidation of the contact roller 33 rotatably mounted on the shaft 21, the gear 37 firmly connected to the contact roller 33 is driven in the direction of arrow A during the rotational movement of the gear 22 via the inter mediate wheel pair 35 and 36 mounted on the bearing pin 34. The design of the individual gears is made such that the rotational movement of the contact roller 33 is greater than the or transport wheels 23 and 24 in one line step of the data carrier 3.
If the transport wheels 23 and 24 with the data carrier 3 lying on them are to take a step against the direction of the arrow A, the brake motor 10 can be triggered using a button (not shown) in such a way that its direction of rotation is opposite to the previously described direction.
FIG. 5 shows the electrical circuit diagram for the control of the scanning device. After the main switch 57 is closed, the relay 59 picks up via the closed switch 58, which closes the holding switch 60 assigned to it, and the relay 127 picks up via the closed switch 126, which actuates the break contact 120. The relay 61 picks up and actuates the break contacts 62 and 63 and the holding switches 64 and 74 of FIG. 8. The relay 65 cannot be energized and cannot be actuated by the open holding switch 66 against the motor 10. By briefly pressing the button 67 the relay 61 drops out and the opener 63 is closed.
The relay 65 is energized and the holding switch 66 is closed, whereby the magnet 122 of FIGS. 3 and 5 is energized and the brake shoe 123 of FIG. 3 is lifted from the brake cylinder 124 of FIG.
The motor 10 now brings about the transport of the data carrier 3 described in relation to FIGS. 3 and 4 and the simultaneous opening of the switch 58 until it reaches the effective area of the brush 52 of FIG. 2 with the header information. When the opener 63 was closed, the hold switch 74 of FIG. 8 was also opened, so that the header information of the previous data carrier 3 is now deleted, it being assumed that the main switch 57 was not opened when the data carrier was changed. When the switch 67 was opened, the switch 68 was closed, the magnet 46 was energized and thus the pivoting movement of the brush 52 described in relation to FIGS. 3 and 4 was brought about.
If the header information has entered the effective area of the brush 52, then the switch 58 is closed at the same time by means of the control hole 55 of the data carrier 3. The relay 61 is energized again via the relay 59 and the hold switch 60 and the break contact 63 is actuated. The relay 65 is de-energized again, the hold switch 66 is opened and the motor 10 is brought to a standstill by the falling of the magnet 122, so that the header information of the data carrier 3 remains under the brush 52. When the relay 61 has dropped out, the break contact 62 is closed and the relay 69 is energized, as a result of which the hold switch 75 in FIG. 8 is closed and fulfills the function described for FIG. 8.
The switch 126 was opened by the transported data carrier 3, the relay 127 drops out and the break contact 120 is closed. It is now possible by pressing Ides z. B. foot switch 121 in spite of the open switch 119, the function of which has already been explained for FIG. To trigger the duplicator for the line printing process. This is no longer possible until the switch 126 is closed again as a result of the data carrier 3 leaking out of the scanning device, the relay 127 picks up and the opener 120 is actuated. A switch located in front of the punching device is closed by the printed punch card 6 and a relay is briefly addressed via a known RC element.
The holding switch 70 assigned to the relay is closed, and the relay 71 picks up, whereby the two holding switches 72 and 73 are also closed. The hold switch 70 opens again as a result of the relay dropping out, so that the relay 71 holds itself via the hold switch 72. The relay 65 picks up and closes the hold switch 66. The motor 10 now transports the data carrier 3 until the marking perforations of the 1st line are in the effective area of the brush 52. When leaving the basic position shown in FIG. 3, the driving wheel 14 has opened the switch 47 and closed the switch 48.
The relay 71 drops out and the hold switches 72 and 73 open again. The relay 65 is kept energized via the closed switch 48 until the Maltese cross 17 is in its basic position again and the data carrier 3 has executed a line step. The switch 47 is closed, the switch 48 is opened, the relay 65 drops out, the holding switch 66 is opened, and the motor 10 and the magnet 122 are de-energized. If the data carrier 3 is to be ejected from the scanning device, the button 67 is pressed briefly.
The relay 61 drops out, the break contact 63 is closed, and the motor 10 transports the data carrier 3 in a known manner until it comes out of the range of the switch 58, the relay 61 through the closed switch 58, the relay 59 and the Hold switch 60, attracts, and this actuates the break contact 63, whereby the motor 10 is again de-energized.
FIG. 6 shows the circuit diagram for storing and decoding one point of the line information. The information perforations 54 of FIG. 2 or the information perforation 54 of a marking field 50, which are shown in FIG. 2, are scanned via the brushes 53, 53a, 53b and 53c. If the first of the four fields is perforated in a marking field 50 i, this information hole 54 is detected by the brush 53.
The circuit to the relay 76 is closed by the brush 53, which is in contact with the contact roller 33 of FIGS. 3 and 4. The relay 76 picks up and swivels the switch 77. Via the switches 77, 78, 79 and 80 a magnet 100 of FIG. 8 of a punching device is energized, which works with a punch which is assigned the value one of a known punch card . If the relay 81 receives voltage via the brush 53a, a magnet 100 is addressed via the switches 77, 82, 83 and 84, which is assigned the valence two.
If the relays 76 and 81 are energized, a magnet 100 (FIG. 8) of valence three is addressed via the switches 77, 78, 85 and 86. If the relay 87 of the brush 53b picks up, the value four is addressed via the switches 77, 82, 88 and 89. If the relays 76 and 87 pick up, the switches 77, 78, 79 and 90 address the value five.
If relays 81 and 87 pick up, switches 77, 82, 83 and 91 address the value six.
When the relays 76, 81 and 87 are picked up, the switches 77, 78, 85 and 92 I address value seven. If the relay 93 of the brush 53c picks up, the value eight is addressed via the switches 77, 82, 88 and 94. If the relays 76 and 93 are energized, the value nine is addressed via the switches 77, 78, 79 and 80. If no relay is addressed, the switches 77, 82, 88 and 94 are used to energize a magnet 100 (FIG. 8), to which the value zero is assigned.
If the data carrier 3 is transported by one line, the brushes 53, 53a, 53b and 53c read the underlying marking field 50 of the next line, with the relays 76, 81, 87 and 93 dropping at the line step of the data carrier 3 and corresponding to the information perforation Tighten 54 or information holes 54 of the marking field 50 of the new line.
FIG. 7 shows the circuit diagram for storing and decoding one point of the header information. The decoding takes place in the same way as the decoding of a position of the line information already described for FIG. If one or more of the relays 76, 81, 87 and 93 is energized via the brushes 53, 53a, 53b and 53c, then the switch (s) 95 assigned to the energized relay 76, 81, 87 and 93, 96, 97 and 98 closed.
If the data carrier 3 in FIG. 2 executes one or more line steps, the entered values are not deleted, since the relays in question hold themselves via the switches assigned to them. The button 99, which can be operated manually, is used to delete header information. Another exemplary embodiment is to actuate the button 99 at its specific point in time by a mechanical part of the scanning device.
In FIG. 8, contrary to the course of the information read by the brushes 53, a, b, etc. from the data carrier 3 of FIG. 2, up to the energization of the magnets 100 is shown. The information of the first marking field 50 of the header line of FIG. 2 read by the brushes 53a, b, c and d is input into the header decoder 101, which is shown in FIG. 7 in the form of a circuit diagram. If it is assumed that the punch card 6 is punched in 4 punching strokes of 14 places each, then the brushes 53e, f, g and h read the information in the 15th marking field of the header, from which they are then input into the header decoder 102 . The switches 104 are closed one after the other.
Depending on the value entered by the brushes in one of the head or line end encoders, when the switch 104 assigned to the entered value is closed, the switch 105 or 106 etc. is activated according to the first or second punching stroke.
closed, so that one of the magnets 100 is energized, which carries out the known setting process for one of the punch rods, not shown.
As can be seen from the data carrier 3 in FIG. 2, each punch card 6 can be provided with twenty header information items and twenty line information items.
In addition, a maximum of sixteen variable pieces of information can be entered into each punch card 6. In the example given, the switches 109, through which the desired value of a digit can be programmed, are shown. The values of the variable information that have been programmed once are retained until a new value is entered, which is done by closing another switch 109.
The brushes 53a, b, c and d each scan the values of the 1st marking field 50 in the data carrier 3 of FIG.
2 and pass them into the head decoder 101 or
in - the row decoder 103.
The transport of the data carrier 3 and the opening of the hold switch 74 as well as the associated deletion of the header information of the previous data carrier 3 take place as described for FIG. 5. If the header of the data carrier 3 comes into the range of action of the brushes 53, the switch 74 is closed again and the information read is passed through the brushes 53, which are energized by the sliding contact 110 applied to the contact roller 33 in FIG. 3, into the head decoder 101 , 102, etc., and are input to the row decoder 103, etc. If the first line of the data carrier 3 is brought into the range of action of the brushes 53, the switch 75 is opened.
The header values contained in the line end encoder 103 and so on are thereby erased, and the read information of the first line is input to the line decoders 103 and so on. The head line values are stored in the head decoders 101, 102 etc. via the holding voltages 111 and 112 until a new data carrier 3 is inserted into the scanning device.
