Fig. 3 einen Schnitt gemäss der Linie A-A in Fig. 1, stark vergrössert,
Fig. 4 eine vergrösserte Tcilansicht einer Abfangschranke,
Device for combining round tablets in roll form
This invention relates to a device for gathering round tablets in rolls, the tablets being guided on edge from a storage point into a series of parallel, downwardly inclined running grooves and special devices causing the running grooves to vibrate horizontally so that the tablets roll downwards in the running grooves in roll form e.g. B. fold into the pockets of the cinc conveyor that brings one roll after the other to a packaging machine.
The greatest difficulty with such a device arises when the tablets are filled from the supply point into the grooves. Two methods are currently in use.
The first method assumes the use of inserts. In the front section, the running grooves have a gradually decreasing cross-section; the tablets lying flat are introduced into the channels, and the turning plates then turn them upright when they reach the subsequent sections of the grooves.
The main disadvantages of this method are:
1. A control worker is required at the entrances to the grooves so that the tablets reach the first sections of the channels in a flat position.
2. The turning plates cause a narrowing of the tablet flow and thus reduce the rate of dispensing.
3. If already packed tablets are introduced, the action of the turning plates can loosen the packing material and cause blockages in the vicinity of the same, which must then be cleared by hand; this further reduces the delivery rate.
The second known method is based on the use of vertical, built-in at the entrance of the grooves, reciprocating plates, which are arranged between solid walls. A rotating brush is also provided, which guides the tablets into the grooves in the event that they remain on the plates.
The main disadvantages of this method are:
1. In the case of tablets with an obliquely large diameter compared to their thickness, there is a risk that the tablets will remain on the plates for some time before they fall into the grooves, which reduces the tablet feed.
2. Some types of tablets are easily damaged by the moving plates that hit their surface (e.g. tablets with a coating of crystallized sugar, such as fruit candies).
3. In the case of tablets that have already been packed, the plates moving back and forth can loosen the wrapping paper; this then often wraps around the plates and thus causes blockages and a reduction in the flow of tablets.
The device forming the subject of the above invention is characterized in that the horizontally oscillating running grooves have an upper portion in which the partition walls arranged between the running grooves are angled in their upper part at least on one side of each running groove, in such a way that the transverse to one Tablets impinging on the running groove are tilted and placed on edge, a barrier being provided at the lower end of said upper running groove section, which intercepts the tablets that can no longer be accommodated in the lower running groove section.
An exemplary embodiment and a variant of the subject matter of the invention are illustrated in the accompanying drawing. Show it:
1 shows a side view of a device according to the invention,
Fig. 2 is a plan view of half of the device,
3 shows a section along the line A-A in FIG. 1, greatly enlarged,
4 shows an enlarged partial view of an interception barrier,
5 shows an enlarged section according to line A-A from FIG. 1, showing a construction variant,
Fig. 6 shows the same variant according to an enlarged section along the line B-B in Fig.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 contains a support structure 1 () and support arms 1 with profiles 12 which carry rollers 13 on a vibrating frame 14. A filling box 15 and a number of upper running grooves 16, which are delimited from one another by vertical walls 17 and have side walls tS, are arranged on the frame 14.
Furthermore, under running grooves 19 are provided. which have the same width as the upper grooves 16 and are aligned with them. and a brush 20, which sits on a shaft 21 1, which in turn is mounted on pivot arms 22 which are articulated at 23 on the base.
The frame 14 is caused to vibrate horizontally by the shaft 24, the drive being driven by a drive belt 5. an eccentric 26 and a connecting rod 97 follow. The connecting rod 27 is connected to the lower end of a lever 211 which is pivotably mounted at 29 on the support structure 10 and whose upper end is connected to the frame 14 by a link 30. The brush 20 is, as indicated in FIG. 1, by the toilet 24.
Gears 3 1 and a belt 32 rotated in a clockwise direction.
If the machine is in operation, the Ta beds 33 roll from the filling box 1 5 one after the other upright through the running grooves and thus get to the pockets 34 of an intermittent conveyor 35, the control being controlled by a flap 36 which is rotatably mounted on the frame at 37.
By lateral, angled guides 311 (Fig. 2), the tablet rolls are spared together during the promotion, whereupon sic get from the pockets of the conveyor through a known device, not shown, to a packaging machine.
As Fig. 3 shows. the mutual distance P of the upper running grooves 16 is greater than the diameter of the tablets 33 and equal to the width of a running groove plus the thickness W of a partition 17.
The intermediate walls 17 are beveled in their upper part, wic at 39. A tablet lying flat on such an inclined wall surface therefore only touches the vertically adjacent wall surface with one edge, whereby any jamming is excluded. The inclination of the inclined surfaces 39 of the partition walls 17 is adapted to the dimensions of the tablets. The rotating brush 2 <) is arranged above the outlet of the upper running grooves 16 and brushes back the surplus tablets which can no longer be picked up by the lower running grooves 19 that have already been filled.
When the tablets swell out of the filler box 15 due to the vibration of the frame 14, a large percentage of the tablets fall directly into the upper running grooves 16 and each tablet falls on its narrow side thanks to the inclined design of the upper wall surfaces 39. The horizontal, reciprocating movement of the frame 14 is of course transferred to the walls 17 so that all tablets which did not get directly into the running grooves 16 fall automatically into the running grooves due to this movement. Since the distance P between the partition walls 17 is greater than the diameter of the tablets 33, the tablets cannot remain on the upper edges of the walls 17, but must immediately tilt so that they face the groove 16 on their narrow side.
The in Fig. 3 designated by X distance between the lower end of the inclined surface 39 of a wall 17 and the base of the adjacent grooves 16 should be greater than the diameter of the tablet, but smaller than twice the diameter of the tablet, so that clogging of the Grooves below the brush 20 is avoided.
With the device described, a relatively high throughput can be achieved, since no reversible inserts and no vertical, reciprocating bars are used. The tablets can be used freely, i. H. without the risk of constipation. and be conveyed without damage. In the construction variant according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the arrangement is essentially unchanged, with the exception of the fact that here both sides 40 of the upper grooves 16 are beveled.
Here, too, the distance P between the grooves separating the grooves is greater than the diameter of the tablets, so that the tablets automatically fall to the bottom of the grooves and immediately stand on edge.
The width of the running grooves gradually decreases in the direction of the brush 20 (FIG. 6), so that the tablets are erected when they pass into the lower running grooves 19 below the brush 21). The width of the lower running grooves corresponds to that of the lower end sections of the upper running grooves 16.
The filling box does not necessarily have to take part in the oscillating movement of the frame 14. It can also be arranged locally, in which case the tabs are then brought into the vibrating upper grooves 16 by hand. The tablets can also be conveyed from the storage location to the upper running grooves 16 by any other conveying device.
The only task of the brush 20 is to sweep back excess tablets which cannot get into the lower running grooves 19; the brush can therefore also be replaced by a fixed barrier or by a bar that moves back and forth.
The conveyor 35 can, if desired. can also be replaced by a horizontal, rotating, disc conveyor provided with conveyor pockets.
