Hanging bar for pictures or the like To avoid damage to walls by hammered nails, which are preferably intended for fastening pictures or the like, wooden bars are often used, which are attached to the wall at a suitable height and to accommodate fastening elements such as screws, Nails, drawing board pens, etc. are used. Apart from the fact that dowels have to be inserted into the walls for the assembly of such wooden strips, the appearance of the strip soon suffers from the aforementioned use. In addition, wooden strips are often difficult to adapt to the aesthetic requirements in modern aspects according to the planned residential or business premises.
In addition, there are considerable difficulties in installing the rails on walls made of vibrated concrete, in which the attachment of any fastening means is very difficult.
The object of the invention is to create a hanging bar which avoids the disadvantages mentioned, is easy to assemble and allows pictures or the like to be hung up without the need for fastening elements to be assembled using tools.
The suspension bar according to the invention for pictures or dL, l. is characterized by a cover profile with an irac wall, a recess for the reception of an adhesive insert and a support bracket for. the reception of suspension links.
The upper edge of the front side of the profile is preferably provided with a closing lip, at least its outer part expediently consisting of a flexible material. The adhesive insert is advantageously made of a material in which at least the surface has open pores in which adhesive can anchor itself, for example made of a flexible plastic foam. The cover profile can be made in one piece from plastic or metal.
Details and advantages of the suspension bar according to the invention emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with detailed variants with reference to the drawing, in which FIG. 1 shows the suspension bar in section in the assembled position. Fig. 2 shows as a partial sectional view the outer part of the end lip in a different form from the embodiment according to FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows as a further partial sectional illustration the support bracket for receiving suspension links in a form different from the embodiment according to FIG.
In Fig. 1, 1 designates a one-piece cover profile, which can be made of both plastic and metal. With 2 and 2 'from the back of a supporting wall 3 are referred to practically perpendicularly protruding spacer webs whose facing wall parts limit a space for receiving an adhesive insert 4 together with part of the rear of the supporting wall.
The adhesive insert 4 is fixed to the aforementioned wall parts by a special adhesive and in the unpressed state projects at least 1 to 2 mm beyond the ends of the webs 2, "_", as shown in FIG. 1. This makes it possible to compress the insert 4, which is made up of a compressible plastic, a little when assembling the bar, in that the webs 2,
2 'on the highest points of the normally somewhat unreliable surface of a wall 5.
Before the strip is installed on the wall 5, it is applied in the area of an adhesive surface 6 with a suitable adhesive, e.g. coated with a neoprene adhesive and also made the outside of the insert 4, which subsequently cooperates with it, ready for assembly. This happens in the event that the named outside of the insert is not yet soaked with adhesive during the assembly of the strip, also by applying an adhesive to the insert.
The insert can in principle be made of any elastically compressible material that can be anchored in the cover profile 1 and that can be attached to the masonry by means of adhesive. It is important, however, that the insert is not hygroscopic in the assembled state and has a sufficiently high tensile and shear strength.
It is advisable to pull the upper web 2 through uninterruptedly over the entire length of the profile in order to ensure that the flexible insert 4 is in good contact with it. On the other hand, if there are manufacturing possibilities, instead of a continuous lower web 2 ', bolts or ribs to be provided at suitable longitudinal distances can serve as spacers.
Because the corner between the wall 5 and the ceiling 7 is usually not designed strictly geometrically, the upper web 2 is set back somewhat with respect to the upper front profile edge, in a practical embodiment it is 6 mm. In order to also compensate for unevenness in the ceiling 7, the upper edge of the profile front side 1 'is designed as a closing lip 8, the outermost part 8' of which is designed to be flexible.
In the example shown in FIG. 1, where the single-storey cover profile consists of a plastic that is flexible under slight pressure, the outer end 8 'of the end lip 8 has a sloping 9 facing the rear of the profile in order to provide a narrow or uneven ceiling to achieve a sharp ridge. If the cover profile 1 is made of metal, the end lip 8a can be provided at its upper end with a flexible .auflage or, as shown in Figure 2, with a strip 22 of flexible material inserted in a groove 21 of the profile la.
The actual purpose of the suspension bar according to the invention is a support bracket for receiving suspension links, in the example according to FIG. 1 a web 10 formed on the lower end of the support wall, the free edge of which is provided with a bead or rib 11. The rib 11 is used to secure hanging hooks 12 on which images and d21. can be hung up.
The design and arrangement of the support bracket can be varied in many ways. 3 shows such a variant, which at the same time offers the possibility of varying the front side of the picture strip. The projection and the design of the console 10b can be adapted depending on the profile material selected, the suspension load or architectural considerations.
With the suspension bar according to the invention, pictures can be hung at any point of the same without damaging the walls. Their arrangement in the corner at the top end of the: 'and prevents dust deposition and allows the room, preferably with the concrete construction, to be architecturally sound; the visible surfaces can be matched to the color of the walls or wallpaper with a suitable color coat.
