Inductive proximity switching device, in particular for use as a limit switch The invention relates to an inductive proximity switching device, in particular for use as a limit switch, with an electrical oscillator which contains an oscillating circuit coil arranged on a ferromagnetic coil core, and with a switching device assigned to the oscillator,
the oscillator when an electrically conductive one that is movable relative to the coil core approaches. Object is damped on the coil core.
Such proximity switch devices are used, for example, to control machines and have the advantage over mechanical switches that they work without bounce, are not subject to mechanical wear, have comparatively low hysteresis and are insensitive to the ingress of oil or other substances.
In a known inductive proximity switch device, the entire electronic circuit is cast in one block. This block has a joint, which bil det the air gap of the coil core. The disadvantage is that to operate the proximity switch, an electrically conductive object of certain dimensions must be immersed in the joint. Another disadvantage is the relatively large space requirement.
The disadvantages of the known inductive proximity switching device are eliminated according to the invention in that the coil core has an open magnetic circuit and is arranged in a recess of a carrier, and that the oscillating circuit coil is connected to the other circuit parts of the oscillator arranged outside the carrier via a cable connected is.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.
It shows: FIG. 1 a sectional illustration and FIG. 2 a basic circuit diagram.
In FIG. 1, 1 denotes a ferromagnetic coil core which is cast into a recess 2 of a carrier 3. The carrier 3 can consist of any material. It can advantageously be a machine part of a machine controlled by the proximity switch.
The coil core 1 has an open magnetic circuit, which creates a pronounced stray field. It is preferably designed as a pot core with a dop pel-U-shaped cross section. An oscillating circuit coil 4 and a feedback coil 5 are arranged on the coil core 1 and connected via a cable 6 to further circuit parts which are located outside the carrier 3 and are shown in FIG.
In FIG. 2, the same reference numbers as in FIG. 1 indicate the same parts. An ItIeissner oscillator 7 consists of a transistor 8, a resonant circuit formed by a capacitor 9 and the resonant circuit coil 4, a feedback coil 5, an RC element, connected in series with an RC element 10 in the base circuit of the transistor 8 11 for static negative feedback, a potentiometer 12 for setting the oscillation amplitude and an interference protection capacitor 13.
A transistor 14 connected as a rectifier and impedance converter is coupled to the oscillator 7 via a capacitor 15 and forms a demodulator 16. A capacitor 17 integrates the half-wave pulses passing through the transistor 14 so that one of the oscillation amplitudes of the oscillator 7 is applied to it proportional DC voltage. An interference protection capacitor is denoted by 18.
A threshold switch 19 connected downstream of the demodulator 16 consists essentially of a Tran .istor 20, a Zener diode 21 which determines the response threshold and a transistor 22 complementary to the transistor 20. 23 is a further interference protection capacitor.
The threshold switch 19 is followed by a driver stage 24 for controlling integrated digital circuits. It is essentially formed by two transistors 25, 26, the collectors of which form two outputs 27, 28 which are complementary to one another.
The output 28 is connected to the base of the transistor 20 via an RC feedback element 29. A regenerative toggle behavior of the threshold switch 19 is thereby achieved.
The oscillator 7, the demodulator 16 and the threshold switch 19 are fed with a 24 V voltage and the driver stage 24 with a 5 V voltage.
The proximity switch described works as follows: As long as no electrically conductive object enters the stray field of the coil core 1, the oscillator 7 generates high-frequency oscillations of sufficient amplitude to switch the threshold switch 19 through. The transistor 25 of the driver stage 24 is conductive and the transistor 26 is blocked. If an electrically conductive object of any shape and size reaches the stray field, the oscillator vibrations are dampened. As soon as the voltage on the capacitor 17 falls below the threshold of the Schwel lenschalters 19, it turns off, the transistor 25 is blocked and the transistor 26 tend to lei.
The distance between the coil core 1 and an object coming into its stray field, which is required to actuate the proximity switch device, can be set with the potentiometer 12. @ "If the oscillator vibrations are only dampened, but not interrupted, the hysteresis of the proximity switch can be kept extremely small.
The coil core 1 with the associated coils 4 and 5 takes up very little space and can therefore be installed at almost any point in a machine or apparatus.
A particular advantage of the described proximity switch device is that the carrier 3 can be designed as a solid stop. This is the case with known designs which, due to the special spatial shape of the coil core, are cast in a plastic block with a joint with low mechanical strength are not possible.
Of course, machine parts can also take on the task of the carrier 3.
The cable 6 can have a length of several meters even if it is not shielded. The parts of the proximity switching device that are not arranged in the carrier 3 can therefore easily be accommodated in a control panel belonging to a machine.
