Dust separator The separation of dust, especially with so-called vacuum cleaners, be it with mobile or z. B. on textile machines built-in vacuum cleaners, is usually done through filters. For other purposes, e.g. B. in waste incinerators and air conditioning systems are also used so-called cyclones and electrical high-frequency filters and air washing systems, the latter being known to remove the dust by spraying or by passing the air through water.
The present invention relates primarily to the dry separation of dust, which is intended in particular for mobile vacuum cleaners.
In this field, bag-shaped filters are generally used, which have, for example, disposable layers in the form of paper filters. Although there were also systems in which the dust was separated on the outside of the sack, because of the easier removal of the disposable sacks today, the dust is usually picked up with the inside of the filter sack.
It is clear that all of these systems suffered from the disadvantage that the dust clogs the filter more and more by depositing it in ever thicker layers on it. This reduces the air throughput of the vacuum cleaner, which means that the air speed decreases, the negative pressure goes down and the suction power decreases. In addition, in these systems the dust is constantly moved by the air flow and ventilated, so that new, extremely fine particles are constantly being formed, which can partially pass through the filter. In addition, even with the paper sacks, some dust is thrown up when thrown away because of their porosity. The invention aims to eliminate these evils.
The subject of the invention is therefore a dust separating device @ "in particular for vacuum cleaners to comprehend an openable dust collector housing with an inlet and an outlet opening for air, as well as a filter for separating the dust from the air, which is characterized in that in front of dzr A rotatable filter element is attached and the air inlet opening is designed so that the air strikes the filter element essentially tangentially in order to set it in rotary motion
wherein the filter element is seated in the dust collecting housing above a part of the space intended to receive the dust falling from the filter element or blown off and thrown off, so that said falling dust can accumulate without hindering the rotation of the filter element.
The filter element is expediently formed in the form of a whisk-like basket made up of radial struts, which is covered with the filter cloth so that it forms constrictions between the struts. One side of the basket remains open, which is stiffened by an annular element which forms the hub of the rotatable element so that it can be rotatably mounted opposite an opening in the StaubaLiffan (g-vessel).
At the next, the element is placed with the filter basket side down in front of an opening in the lid of the dust collector, while the air inlet opening in the upper casing part of the advantageously cylindrical collecting vessel is inclined so that the air flow at least partially passes the filter basket applied tangentially and causes it to rotate. In order to be able to remove the dirt collecting in the dust collector easily ent, you can arrange interchangeable disposable bags therein, which are impermeable, for.
B. made of plastic film or sturdy paper, since they should not let air through.
Whether you now need the device required for air movement, z. B. a fan, before or after the inven tion according to the Staubabscheidevorrichtun arranged, is largely free. If it is switched after the device, there is the advantage that it is itself protected from dust, and that coarse debris, e.g. B. Bureau clips, stone stitching, nails and the like do not come into contact with the paddle wheel of the fan.
In order to prevent a compact air flow from escaping on the outlet side of the dust separating device of the invention, which can cause the swirling of dirt that has not yet been accumulated or other inconveniences, it is expedient to attach any element downstream of the filter element to this outlet opening, which the air flow distributed and its speed, e.g. B. by expansion, can decrease.
The device according to the invention is to be discussed in more detail in a preferred embodiment, which is particularly suitable for soil cultivation riveting machines, with the aid of the drawings.
FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through a dust extractor according to the invention, while FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section along the line II-II.
The whole device serving as a chassis, so to speak, dust collector cfäss consists of a cylindri's pot 1 with a lid 2 put over it, the pot 1 having an annular spring 3 around which a resilient ring 4 z. B. made of plastic, ver runs, which can come into engagement with a ring spring 5 running around the lid, so that the lid not only by sliding its inner jacket wall on the outer jacket wall of the pot 1, but also countries by the nest ;: The springs 5 or 3 and the ring 4 are held @, which is useful because there is overpressure inside the vessel.
On the side of the cover 2, the air inlet duct 6 is provided, which narrows to accelerate the air flow and to divide the direction of the same from bottom to top and in plan view from left to right, so that a partially tangential air flow is generated in the cover.
In the upper plate 7 of the lid a circular opening S is provided, which is covered by an air deflecting lid 10 resting on four legs 9 so that the air emerging from the vessel (1, 2) does not exit vertically upwards, but fan-like horizontally is distracted. On the inside of the cover plate 7, a bearing bush 11 is attached, in which a Kugellgaer 12 is located.
As the hub of the rotatable dust separator 13, the annular element 14 is provided, on which wires 15 are attached like a whisk. A filter cloth 16 is stretched over these wires 15. so that it has the constricted shape shown in the section of FIG.
In Fig. 1 only a single wire bracket 15 is reproduced so that the clarity of this figure is not disturbed.
When the device is in operation, the air storm occurs in accordance with the arrow in Fiu. 2 into the device, acts on the filter element formed from hub 14, wires 15 and filter cloth 16, with an overpressure in the vessel 1, 2 and the filter element rotates counterclockwise (viewed from above).
The air freed from the dust passes through the filter cloth 16 and is withdrawn through the opening 17 in the hub 14 and the openings in the cover 7 while being deflected by the element 10. Because of the rotary movement and the tangential impact of the air flow on the filter element, this continuously and automatically cleans itself from the dust that falls into the pot 1, where it not only remains, but is even compressed somewhat by the overpressure in the pot.
In practice, the already mentioned impermeable sack will be used with advantage as the lining of the top 1, so that maximum cleanliness is achieved when it is emptied.
The device according to the invention works until the moment when the dirt that has accumulated in the pot 1 comes into contact with the filter element and this always brakes with the same efficiency. If you want absolute cleanliness when emptying, you can run the machine briefly and then let it stand for a few minutes, which blows the filter clean and gives the dust time to settle.
