Cooking device The present invention relates to a device for heating and boiling liquids and viscous or liquid-containing food. The pans currently used for this purpose have the essential, well-known disadvantage that they have to be cleaned after each use. This is not only not possible when there is not enough hot water or not enough water at all, but also otherwise when time is short. But even when there is hot water and time available, you still need cleaning material.
All of this is no longer necessary with the new cooking appliance, as it is characterized by the fact that it is made up of a frame and an insertable, 0.015-0.030 mm thick film that is intended to accommodate the food, the insertable film being discarded after one use.
If you consider that cleaning a pan a hundred times requires at least one can of cleaning material for around CHF 2.00 and at least 3 copper rags for around CHF 1.20, so this consumable alone costs more than 3 cents per cleaning Foil can already be bought for 3 1/2 cents, so you can see that the new cooking device is not only practical, but also very inexpensive, as you no longer have to do any cleaning work.
Embodiments of the invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a complete cooking device over a gas burner, FIG. 2 shows the frame alone, FIG. 3 shows the foil ready for use and FIG. 4 shows the foil used, FIG. 5 shows a collapsible frame and FIG 6 the same frame in the folded state.
The cooking appliance shown in FIGS. 1-4 consists of a frame designated as a whole as 1. This is formed here by a grate la, four vertical struts 1b, an upper connecting ring 1c and a handle 1d. This frame can consist entirely of one piece, but it can also be assembled, ie welded or riveted or otherwise manufactured, with the holding stem 1d of course also having an insulating coating or being made entirely of insulating material.
This cooking appliance also includes the insertable into the frame to accommodate the food be certain film 2, which is shown in Fig. 3 in ready-to-use form, while Fig. 4 shows it in the state as it is stacked and sold. Such a film has a smooth, flat, circular, serving as Bo the middle part 2a and a cylindrically upwardly drawn edge part 2b, which is placed flat on the bottom 2a for stacking, as shown in FIG. 4, where it is a circular ring Represents structure.
Fig. 1 shows the assembled cooking device over a gas burner 3. Of course, the cooking device can be used on an open fire or on an elec trically heated plate. Cooking with this device is exactly the same as with an ordinary pan.
The only difference is that it does not have to be cleaned after use, because the inserted film 2 is only used once and then thrown away, which, as he mentioned at the beginning, saves work, water and cleaning material, while the price for the Cleaning material corresponds approximately to the price of the foil, which can consist of aluminum or of polytetrafluoroethylene or polytetrafluoroethylene-perfluoropropylene, which is known and available for example under the trade name Teflon, or of an aluminum foil,
which is coated with one of these plastics or another sufficiently heat-resistant plastic. The thickness can be between 0.015 and 0.030 mm; it is advantageously between 0.016 and 0.025 mm.
Instead of the one-piece frame 1, a frame that can be dismantled can now also be used. 5 and 6 show an embodiment of such a frame: The cylindrical wall is composed of four detachable parts 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d. From the lower edge of this wall, four horizontal pins 5, which can be removed for dismantling, lead towards the center. The two rings 6 and 7, of which the first consists of two parts, also lie in the plane formed by the pins 5.
Each of these rings has four bores for the pins 5, as a result of which the entire frame is sufficiently stable. It can be held with a removable bracket 8. Fig. 6 shows how the individual parts can be accommodated in the collapsed state in a transparent plastic box.
This embodiment of the frame is particularly suitable for use on hikes and on similar occasions where it is inconvenient to take along bulky pans or a one-piece frame for the insert film.
