Description
Zusammenklappbarer Flaschenkasten
Fig. 1 einen aufgestellten leeren Flaschenkasten perspektivisch und
Collapsible bottle crate
The invention relates to a collapsible bottle crate for storing and transporting, in particular, beverage bottles, which has a crate base and an intermediate base as stiffening support elements for the erected crate between its hinged box wall parts.
The usual compact bottle crates made of wood, metal or plastic are required both for shipping filled bottles and for returning empty bottles. With the introduction of the newly developed so-called one-way bottles, however, a major disadvantage of these bottle crates came to light, since these one-way bottles are only transported once when they are full and no longer appear as empties for return transport. Accordingly, only the empty bottle crates flow back, which due to their bulkiness take up large storage and transport spaces.
There has therefore been no lack of attempts to reduce the required storage space for the empty boxes.
A collapsible bottle crate is known, the side wall parts of which are articulated to one another by hinge straps and which has a removable crate bottom and a removable intermediate bottom.
These floors also serve as stiffening support elements for the erected box. In this case, the hinge straps are arranged in such a way that, in the folded-up state, the case forms receiving pockets for the case base and the intermediate base.
This arrangement has the advantage that the box is very easy for the transport of other goods, such. B. of fruits or the like, can be changed if you remove the intermediate floor, which is only necessary for the bottle transport to prevent the bottles from hitting each other and falling out of the box. On the other hand, this construction has the major disadvantage that the bases slide out of their pockets as individual parts when stacking or when transporting the folded boxes and, under unfavorable circumstances, can also be lost.
In the case of a collapsible box of the type explained in more detail above, these disadvantages are eliminated according to the invention in that the box bottom and intermediate bottom are fastened to the box walls by means of joints and can be folded up.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, for example. Show it:
Fig. 1 is a set up empty bottle crate in perspective and
2 shows a longitudinal section through two bottle crates placed one on top of the other with a bottle placed therein.
In the present bottle crate, the side parts 1 are movably connected to the front parts 2 by the vertical hinge straps 3.
The hinge straps 3 are not located at the four corners, but within the end faces. As a result, the side parts, which are already reinforced by ribs, become even more rigid, and in this way the pockets for receiving the base 4 and the intermediate base 5 are formed after the four wall parts have been folded together. The pockets between the folded wall parts are closed at the bottom by the strips 6 and 7, which are arranged at right angles inward protruding at the lower edge of the wall parts 1 and 2 and also serve as supports for the box bottom 4 when the box is open.
When the box is fully erected, the intermediate floor 5 lies on an edge running approximately halfway up, which appears, for example, as a projection of the inner wall surface of the box part 2 in the figures.
The two floors 4 and 5 are rectangular plates with rounded corners, which have all around running, right-angled edges and reinforcing longitudinal and transverse ribs. Both floors are divided by the edges and reinforcing ribs into an equal number of square fields, each with a round hole in the middle, which has a smaller diameter for floor 4 and a larger diameter for intermediate floor 5. The base 4 is normally arranged in such a way that the compartment formed by the edges and reinforcing ribs points upwards, while the intermediate base is preferably arranged such that the compartment points downwards.
In this way, the bottles intended for normal use receive their most secure storage, because the ribs on the intermediate base 5 then reach down approximately to the thickest parts of the bottle bellies and prevent them from striking one another.
In the case of the side parts 1 and 2 of the bottle crate, the individual fields between the ribs and hinges are filled with smooth plastic walls, with the exception of the central field. These open compartments, which are close enough to the upper edge of the bottle crate, make it easier to load the crates. You can in this way a box z. B. grasp with one hand and carry away.
The box bottom 4 is provided with two opposing hinge pins 10 which engage in corresponding recesses in the side walls 1. The bottom 4 can thus be folded up and is captively attached to the box.
The intermediate floor 5 likewise has two hinge pins 12 lying opposite one another, which engage in the recesses 8. It is therefore rotatable and can be pushed further down into the end position in these recesses after being folded up. An additional latching opening 9 can be provided at the lower end of the recess 8. In FIG. 1, the area of the continuous recess 8 is designated by 11.
The example shown shows only one possible embodiment of the articulated connection of floors and side walls. The same success can be achieved if the pivot pins are attached to the side walls and the correspondingly shaped recesses are attached to the side bars of the floors. Likewise, versions with subsequently attached to the side walls or to the floors pivot pins that z. B. can also consist of metallic material, possible.
The joint-like connection between the side walls and the floor results in a compact, one-piece design of the bottle crate; this ensures that the floors cannot be lost without hindering the sequence of movements when setting up and folding the box.
