Description
Walking stilt The subject of the invention is a walking stilt.
There are stilts of a similar type are known in which the foot console eccentrically inward and the hand reached forward in the walking direction, at right angles to a straight walking or holding bar, of constant cross-section, are attached. These well-known stilts cannot be used for walking in an upright posture and with parallel walking movements of the legs, which is why they quickly become tiring.
The purpose of the invention is to remedy these deficiencies. The invention is characterized in that the footrest axis and the axis running vertically through the tread surface center are identical. This enables walking in an upright posture.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. I shows the view of the left stilt from the front, Fig. II shows the side view of the same from the inside with a section through the footrest.
The vertical dash-dotted line is the course of the footrest axis. 1 is the footrest used for climbing and walking. At the top, this part has a comfortably wide step surface 4 adapted to the arch of the foot. The footrest tapers towards the bottom. The holding stem 2, which is inclined backwards and outwards in relation to the footrest axis 3 and is conical upwards and downwards from the tread surface 4, serves to move the footrest 1 attached to it. Like those adapted to the variable body sizes. Handlebar lengths 2, the footrests 1 per pair (for beginners and advanced) can be of different walking heights.
To protect against wear and noise and to ensure the adhesion of the stilt part that comes into contact with the ground, it is provided with exchangeable rubber sleeves 5.
Following the growth and increasing skill of the stilt walker, the footrests 1 of different heights could be detachably attached to the holding post 2 for replacement.
