Parking system for motor vehicles The present invention relates to a parking system for motor vehicles, with movable platforms arranged in columns with a free path between two of these columns for the entry and exit of the vehicles.
Parking systems of this type are known in which the platforms can be moved in guides transversely to the column direction. When one or more columns or column sections are moved to one side or the other, a path is cleared between two columns or column sections for a vehicle to travel to or from a specific platform. If the room in which the system is housed has a single entrance and exit, as is usually the case, the parked vehicles can only leave their parking space by reversing, whereby the whole thing, often for a long time and usually for a long time narrow path between the two columns has to be passed in reverse gear, which often results in caram bolages.
To remedy these disadvantages, it is proposed according to the invention that the platforms, each individually, be designed to be mobile in the column direction, a column only containing so many platforms that space is created between two of these platforms for an entry and exit path running across the column direction can be.
The inventive design makes it possible wei ter to surround the entire column field with additional and easily accessible fixed parking spaces, whereby the capacity of the entire system can be significantly increased we.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a floor plan of the parking system, and FIG. 2 shows a vertical section of the system.
In the example shown, the platforms of two columns parallel to one another are denoted by 1 to 6 and 7 to 12, respectively. Each of these platforms is divided by dotted lines into four fields A, each of which is intended for receiving a motor vehicle 13 (FIG. 2). Each of the platforms can be moved in the direction of the associated column and for this purpose runs on wheels or rollers 15 guided in runways 14. Between the two platform columns, a path 16 is provided for the entry and exit of the vehicles.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, each of the two columns contains only as many platforms 1 to 6 or 7 to 12 that between two of these platforms - in FIG. 1 there are platforms 2 and 3 and 10 and 11 space for one across The approach and exit path 17 running towards the column direction remains. The depth T of this transverse path measured in the column direction corresponds at least approximately to the depth T 'of a platform measured in the same direction. The entire mobile column field formed by the platforms 1 to 12 is, as FIG. 1 shows, surrounded by additional fixed parking spaces 18 to 53.
In the example shown, the entire parking system is surrounded by end and side walls 54 to 57. In one end wall 57 a passage 58 for the entry and exit of the vehicles is free.
The access to the parking spaces takes place in the direction of arrow 59, which opens into various branches in the area of the parking spaces, as shown in FIG. 1. The departure e.g. The two outer vehicles parked on platform 3 take place directly in forward gear in the direction of arrows 60 without any turning maneuvers.
The exit of the vehicles parked on the two inner parking spaces of platform 3 is done by first driving forward into the wide aisle between platforms 10 and 11, then backing into the wide aisle between platforms 2 and 3, after which in forward gear can be pivoted into the narrower track 16.
The parking system shown is only one possible embodiment. The individual platforms can e.g. can be made longer or shorter and, for example, intended to accommodate 10, 20 or more vehicles. Instead of a central aisle 16, a side aisle can also be provided.
The parking system described has, inter alia, the significant advantage that a relatively large number, namely all fixed parking spaces 18 to 53, can be made accessible by moving the platforms. Another advantage is that a relatively large number of parking spaces can be made accessible with a single shift of some platforms. These advantages are achieved essentially by the fact that the platforms cannot be moved laterally but in the direction of the column. Furthermore, the training described avoids that the vehicles have to be moved individually.
To make it easier to move several platforms at the same time, the individual platforms can be coupled to one another as required. These couplings can e.g. can be operated electrically from a central control point so that the individual platforms can be connected or disconnected with ease. The shift can also be carried out in any other known manner.
