64 hin offener Kanal 65 bzw. 66 an geordnet.
Electromagnetic relay The present invention relates to an electromagnetic table relay with a stationary iron core carrying a bewickel th bobbin and a hinged armature movably mounted on a yoke connected to the iron core and actuating at least one contact member.
The known clapper armature relays usually have an iron core with a circular cross-section. One end of the iron core is attached to a band-shaped, angled yoke, for example by riveting, bracing, etc. A wound, flanged bobbin is applied to the core.
The anchor, which can be designed as an approximately right-angled elbow or as a plate, is usually placed on a yoke end located approximately at the same height as the free end of the iron core, either by means of a cutting edge provided at the yoke end on which the Inner edge of the angled armature is mounted, or by means of a ferromagnetic, thin and resilient sheet metal strip which is attached to both the yoke end and the anchor plate.
These known designs of the magnetic circuit of electromagnetic relays have various parts after. The main disadvantage is that the course of the magnetic flux at the transition point from the cylindrical core to the band-shaped yoke and also to the band-shaped or plate-shaped armature is unfavorable and causes a considerable leakage flux that cannot be used for actuating the relay. In addition, an effective surface treatment of the iron parts that prevents corrosion at the point where the core is attached to the yoke is more difficult and cannot be achieved with certainty.
The purpose of the present invention is to avoid the disadvantages mentioned.
According to the invention, the electromagnetic relay is characterized in that the core and the yoke are designed in one piece as an at least twice angled body, and that the core and yoke each have an at least approximately rectangular cross section.
The free end of the yoke can have a cutting edge for mounting an angled armature, the inside of which is provided with a groove corresponding to the cutting edge at a distance from the angle inner edge.
The armature can be exposed to the pressure of a tension spring pressing it against the cutting edge, which is preferably designed as an elongated and curved wire spring which engages in a groove on the outside of the armature opposite the groove.
The length of the cutting edge and the width of the armature at the point of the groove provided for receiving the cutting edge can advantageously be greater than the width of the core in order to avoid a cross-sectional reduction for the magnetic flux at this point. Fer ner the yoke part provided with the cutting edge has a stop cam for the armature in order to effect an air gap between the yoke part and the armature.
At least one contact member that can be actuated by the armature can be attached to the yoke, on which the angled armature part having the groove acts with its outer surface lying on one and / or the other side of the groove by pressure and / or tension.
To attach the relay and / or the contact members, the yoke can be provided with a tab. It can for this purpose the yoke part having the cutting edge with two arranged at right angles to the yoke part, z. B. be provided from curved flaps, which are also hen with a hole for inserting and holding the wire spring verses.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing voltage, for example. They show: Fig. 1 a relay without a coil and without Kontaktglie the, in isometric partial assembly view, Fig. 2 the assembled relay of @Fig. 1, in a vertical section, FIG. 3 shows a wound bobbin for the relay of FIG. 1 in an isometric view, FIG. 4 shows a switch package for the relay in FIG. 1, in an isometric view,
Fig. 5-7 further embodiments of the relay of Fig. 1 with a wound bobbin and with contact members, semi-diagrammatically in a vertical section and partially in detail, Figs. 8 and 9 details of the connections of the wound bobbin of Fig. 3, in isometric Presentation.
1 and 2, the magnet system of an electromagnetic relay has a core 1, a first yoke part 2 arranged at right angles to the core 1, and a second second yoke part 3 arranged at right angles to the first yoke part 2 and thus parallel to the core 1 . The core 1 and the yoke parts 2 and 3 are formed in one piece by bending a stamped iron sheet strip and therefore all have approximately the same rectangular cross section.
The end of the yoke part 3, which is shorter than the core 1, has an outwardly directed cutting edge 4 which is produced, for example, by pressing the sheet metal strip in a corresponding pressing tool. Furthermore, the yoke part 3 is seen ver on its outside with an example cylindrical cam 5 (Fig. 2), which is also advantageously pressed from the sheet metal strip.
The cutting edge 4 is provided for mounting a hinged armature 6, which has the shape of an angle piece bent from a sheet iron strip, one of the armature part 7 is arranged perpendicular to the core 1 and shown in Fig. 2 unexcited state of the relay with the end face of the core 1 an air gap 8 bil det. The other angled anchor tail 9 is provided with a triangular transverse groove 10, which is used to take on the cutting edge 4 and together with this forms the bearing 'for the hinged armature 6.
The groove 10 is arranged at a distance from the inner edge 11 of the armature 6, for example somewhat in the middle in the longitudinal direction of the armature part 9. The armature part 9 is here on the one hand. by the protruding cutting edge 4 and on the other hand by the cam 5, against which the armature part 9 strikes at its end, held in a distance forming an air gap 12 between the inner surface of the armature part 9 and the outer surface of the yoke part 3.
In order to hold the armature 6 on the yoke part 3 and to press the armature part 9 against the cutting edge 4, a tension spring 13 is provided, which is designed as an elongated, curved wire spring. To anchor the tension spring 13, the yoke part 3 has tworechtwink lig bent tabs 14, in each of which a small hole 15 for inserting and holding the tension spring 13 is provided. So that the tension spring 13 cannot move in the holes 15, each hole 15 has a pointed shape, the tension spring coming to rest in this tip. To fix the position of the tension spring 13 on the armature part 9, it is provided with a groove 16, the course of which can be adapted to the curved shape of the tension spring.
The groove 16 can be arranged exactly opposite the groove 10, so that the tension spring 13 only exerts a force which presses the armature part 9 onto the cutting edge 4. The groove can, however, also be placed a little below the groove 10, so that an additional torque is then exerted on the armature part 9 by the tension spring 13, which torque presses the armature part against the cam 5.
In order to prevent the armature 6 from being pushed away from the cutting edge 4 by vibrations against the tension spring 13, two cams 17 are attached to the inside of the tabs as mechanical anchor retainer, which are advantageously pressed from the material of the tabs and that limit anchor movement.
The tabs 14 preferably form part of the sheet metal strip from which the core 1 and the yoke parts 2 and 3 are bent. This can be achieved in a simple manner by punching out a corresponding sheet metal shape and then bending the tabs. The tabs 14 also serve as a carrier for one or more contact members that are mechanically operated by the armature 6, and are for the purpose of sem with various openings, for. B.; one at the edge of the tab 14 open slot 18, another, also open at the edge of the tab 14, angled slot 19 and a round hole 20.
As an embodiment between the tabs 14 attachable contact members, an encapsulated switch member 21 is shown in FIG. 4 and indicated in FIG. 2, which consists of two snap switches arranged next to one another with rectangular housings, the width of which is inside Distance between the two tabs 14 corresponds.
The switching element 21 has two cams 22 on its outer surfaces and two pressure pins 23 on one of its narrow sides, the pressure pins 23 being provided in a known manner for actuating each of the snap switches. The pressure pins 23 are arranged in thickenings 24, which bring about a greater guide length for the pressure pins. On the lower narrow side of the switching element 21, several connection elements 25 are arranged, which are connected to corresponding contact pieces of the switching element 21.
The connection elements 25 can be used, for example, as flat contacts for plugging into single flat plug elements or my corresponding, separate plug part, or as soldering lugs for soldering connection wires. The connection elements 25 can also have a shape suitable for plugging in and soldering: in printed circuits or for wrapping with a jumper wire.
To attach the switching element 21, this is brought between the tabs 14, the cams 22 being inserted into the slots 18 and 19. Since the slot 19 is angled, the cams 22 can be brought into the end position shown in FIG. 2 without the tabs 14 having to be bent open beforehand.
To fix the switching element 21 between the tabs 14, the part of the tab 14 delimiting the inner part of the slot 19 is bent inwards around the cam 22, for which purpose a pair of pliers or the like can be attached in the hole 24 and on the edge of the tab. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the end of the armature part 9 rests with its outer surface on the pressure pin 23 of the switching element 21.
The hole 20 seen in each tab 14 can be used except for mounting the switching member 21 also for subsequent attachment, a protective hood for the relay, the protective hood being provided on its inside with cams that can be snapped into the holes 20. To energize the relay, a core 1 is provided to give the wound bobbin, which is shown in FIG. 3, for example. The bobbin has an upper and a lower flange 26 and 27, respectively, and is provided with a winding 28.
The bobbin is seen ver with an opening for the core 1, the cross section of which corresponds to the cross section of the core 1. The ends of the winding 28 are guided to several connection elements 29 and connected to them. The connection elements 29 are advantageously designed in the same way as the connection elements 25 of the switching element 21 and also have the same length.
To fasten the wound bobbin on the core 1 (FIG. 1), each of the two narrow sides of the core is provided with a notch 30. The. The opening of the bobbin for the core 1 has two corresponding cams (not shown), so that when the bobbin is pushed onto the core 1, they snap into the notches 30 and thereby hold the bobbin in place.
The lower flange 27 is provided on its outside with a recess 31 which is provided for receiving the yoke part 2 (FIG. 1). This ensures that the underside of the relay, that is to say its yoke part 2 and the coil flange 27, forms an approximately flat surface. The upper flange 26 is also provided on its outside with a recess 32 into which the end of the core 1 (FIG. 1) protrudes when installed.
This recess 32 allows a separately shown short-circuit ring 33 to be inserted, which is then held on the one hand in the hidden part of the recess 32 and on the other hand by the core 1, which the short-circuit ring 33 partially or completely surrounds.
If the relay is used as an alternating current relay, it is expedient to form the short-circuit ring 33 in such a way that it encloses approximately ½ of the cross section of the core 1. The length of the slot in the short-circuit ring 33 is in this case approximately the width of the core 1. In order to be able to pass one side of the short-circuit ring 33 through the core 1, this is provided with a cutout 34 shown in dashed lines.
A relay energized with direct current can also be damaged by the short-circuit ring 33 if it is desired to achieve a delay. In this case, the short-circuit ring 33 closes the entire cross-section of the core 1 and has a slot length corresponding to the width of the core.
The side of the anchor part 7 facing the core 1 is provided in a known manner with an adhesive sheet 35 or the like, shown separately in FIG. 1, which can be designed as a self-adhesive film, for example.
In order to be able to fasten the relay, its yoke part 2 according to FIG. 1 is provided on both sides with a tab 36 which has a threaded hole 37, for example. The tabs 36 are preferably connected to the yoke part 2 and are punched out of a sheet metal strip at the same time as the core 1, the yoke parts 2 and 3 and the tabs 14.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the magnetic flux can pass unhindered from the core 1 into the yoke part 2, since there are no discontinuities or changes in the cross section at the transition point. The magnetic flux also runs unhindered from the yoke part 2 to the cutting edge 4 of the yoke part 3 and passes over into the armature part 9 at this point. A parallel path from the yoke part 3 to the armature part 9 located below the groove 4 is only used to a very small extent by the Magnot flux, since the air gap 12 represents a high resistance.
One at the transition point from the yoke to the anchor, d. H. At the bearing point of the armature, compared to known relays, more favorable magnetic flux is achieved in the described relay in that this transition point is provided on a flat part and not in the angled inner edge 11 of the armature, where the cutting edge 4 and the groove 10 can be formed more precisely . A cross-sectional reduction for the magnetic flow caused by the cutting edge 4 of the yoke part 3 and the groove 10 of the armature part 9 at the transition point is at least approximately compensated in the illustrated relay by the fact that the length of the cutting edge 4 and the width of the armature part 9 at the point of the groove 10 are larger than the width of the core 1.
The same advantage is also available for the transition of the magnetic flow from the armature part 7 to the core 1, in that iron parts at least at approximately the same cross-sectional area and shape are also present at this point.
In addition to the aforementioned advantages relating to the course of the magnetic flux, the relay described has the advantage that the entire magnet system, including the fastening elements for the contact members and the relay, can be punched and bent from a single piece of sheet metal, so that further operations there is no need to mount the magnet system or attach fastening elements. This he therefore allows the fastening elements for the relay, namely the tabs 30 with the threaded holes 37, to be arranged without additional effort so that the threaded hole is outside the flange edge of the bobbin.
As a result, it is no longer possible to press fastening screws that are too long onto the bobbin or the winding and damage them.
Through the relay described. is' also achieved the, before some possibility to use anchor parts on both sides of the bearing point of the anchor for the actuation of Kontaktglie countries and thereby to act by means of a compressive and / or tensile force on the contact members or an advantageous arrangement of the contact members and the actuator for the Contact members to reach the armature.
In Figs. 5 to 7 three embodiments of various con tact members are shown semi-schematically in section, where in previously described, matching parts are identified the same.
According to FIG. 5, a relay in turn has the core 1, the first angled yoke part 2 and the second angled yoke part 3, all of which are made in one piece.
The armature 6 with the angled armature parts 7 and 9 is mounted on the cutting edge 4 of the yoke part 3. A coil body with the flanges 26 and 27 is fastened to the core 1 and carries the winding 28 which is connected to the connection elements 29. A first, insulated or made of an insulating material carrier 41 is attached to the yoke part 3, preferably to the tab 14 of FIG. 1, not shown in FIG. 5, and for example with cams or fastening screws.
In the carrier 41, three contact springs 42 and 43 of a changeover contact are fastened in an insulated manner at their connection-side ends. A support plate 45 for the contact-side ends of the two outer contact springs 42 with slots for contact tracking is attached to the carrier 41 via another carrier element 44. At an above the bearing point of the armature part 9 formed by the cutting edge 4, a lifting plate 46, which is provided with an opening for the passage of the one contact spring 42, for the middle contact spring 43 to be moved is attached to the armature part.
When the relay is excited, the attracting armature 6 pulls the contact spring 43 via the lifting plate 46 into its other contact position. Compared to known relays with similar contact sets, the relay described allows, due to the distance between the bearing point of the angled armature, from its inner edge the point of application of the lifting plate attached to the armature as close as desired to the contact piece arranged on the contact spring 43 Contact springs, which effectively prevents the contacts from bouncing when making contact.
By preventing the mechanical oscillation of the contact springs, the bouncing of the contacts is avoided to at least the same extent in an arrangement of the contact members, not shown, which is similar to the derjeni conditions of FIG. In this further Ausfüh approximately form the attached to the armature part 3 hub plate 46 acts on an extension of the central contact spring 43 outside of their contact pieces, while the support plate 45 attached to the further carrier 44, which has an opening for the central contact spring 43, the contact springs within it Contact pieces supports.
The contact arrangements described can also be reversed by moving the outer contact springs 42 and holding the central contact spring 43, for which purpose corresponding support plates and lifting plates are again provided.
The same advantageous effect can, according to FIG. 6, also be achieved with short contact springs 47 and 48, which in turn are anchored in the carrier 41 attached to the yoke part 3. A lifting plate 49 is attached to the armature part 9 below the bearing point formed by the cutting edge 4 of the yoke part 3 and engages an extension of the central contact spring 48 to be moved. When the armature is tightened, the armature part 9 pushes the lifting plate 49 and thus the contact spring 48 into the other contact position.
In Fig. 7, an embodiment of the relay is provided in which both above and below the bearing formed by the cutting edge 4 of the yoke part 3 lying active surfaces of the armature part 9 are used to actuate contact pieces. In the attached to the yoke part 3 support 41 two contact springs 50 and 51 are anchored, of which the contact spring 50 is guided by means of the further support 44 on the upper half of the plane of the cutting edge 4 side.
Another contact spring 52 is arranged obliquely between the contact pieces of the contact springs 50, 51 and mounted on an insulating support which is provided with a corresponding inclined surface and is attached above and below the cutting edge 4 on the armature part 9. When the armature is tightened, the contact spring 52 moves as a tangent of a circle, the center of which is the cutting edge 4 and causes contacts with the contact pieces of the contact springs 50, 51, whereby these are connected to each other.
In the relay according to FIG. 7, two contacts are arranged in series, which enables higher voltages or an inductive load to be switched in a simple manner.
The relay described can of course also be equipped with other sets of contacts, in particular with several contact members arranged side by side or one above the other. A particular advantage is the fact that the packets with the contact springs, which are designed for example according to FIGS. 5 and 6, previously put together and z. B. can be cast, injected or pressed in an insulating support.
This insulating support is preferably provided with cams 22 according to FIGS. 2 and 4, so that the package of preassembled contact springs can be attached to the tabs 14 (FIGS. 1, 2) in the manner described without the expense of the previously disadvantageous adjustment work.
In FIG. 8, a particularly advantageous arrangement of the connection elements for the winding of the wound bobbin of FIG. 3 is shown. A flange 61, which delimits a winding 62 applied to the bobbin, is provided with two recesses 63 and 64 which are approximately cuboid and essentially only on the side of the flange edge. are open.
On the inside of the flange 61 is a channel 65 or 66, which is open towards the recess 63 or 64, respectively. One channel 65 leads to the outer edge of the winding 62, that is to say to the end of the winding, and the other channel 66 leads to the winding body which is not visible in FIG. 8, that is to the beginning of the winding. Furthermore, each recess 63, 64 is provided with a slot 67 or 68, which is arranged on the outside of the flange 61 and is open at the edge of the flange 61. The other.
The end of each slot 67, 68 is expanded to a cylindrical bore 69 and 70, which is open on the outside of the flange 61, but is closed on the inside.
According to FIG. 9, the connecting element 71 to be inserted into the recesses is designed as a pin, which near its one end is provided with a pure transverse web 72, 73. The transverse web has a front part 72 and a widened extension 73. The width of the projection 73 corresponds to the height of the recesses 63, 64 (FIG. 8).
The dimensions of the pin 71 in the part of the transverse web 72, 73 and above the web are also coordinated with the dimensions of the cylindri's bores 69, 70 in the flange 61 so that the pin 71 can be rotated in the bores 69, 70. The part of the pin 71 located below the transverse web 72, 73 can be designed as desired, for example as shown in FIG. 9 in a form that is suitable for plugging and soldering into printed circuits or to wrap around with a jumper wire.
Another embodiment of the lower part of the pin 71 is the shape shown in Fig. 3 as a flat contact for plugging into a single flat plug element or in a corresponding, separate plug part, or for soldering connecting wires as a soldering lug.
The attachment of the connection pins 71 in the flange 71 and the soldering of the winding wires with the connection pins is carried out in the following way: When winding the winding 62, the beginning of the winding wire is inserted into the channel 66. After winding, the end of the winding wire is passed through the channel 65 to the outside. Then the Wick treatment is covered in the usual way for example with foils.
A connector pin is inserted from the outside of the flange 61 into the bore 69 or 70 in the direction of the arrow 74, so that the web 72, 73 then lies approximately parallel to the channel 67 and 68, as shown in broken lines in FIG and protrudes over the edge of the flange 61. The winding wires, which can be gripped at the openings of the channels 65 and 66 on the flange edge, are now wound and soldered around the protruding, front web parts 72. The connecting pins 71 are then moved in the direction of arrow 75 or
rotated in the opposite direction with the help of pliers or the like by about 90, so that the cross web 72, 73 comes to lie entirely in the interior of the recess 63 or 64. When the connection pins 71 are rotated, the excess winding wire is drawn into the recess 63 or 64 and forms a loop there.
Finally, the recesses 63, 64 which are still open are filled with a hardening synthetic resin. If the winding 62 has several winding connections, a corresponding recess is provided for each outward winding connection for inserting a connection pin to which the corresponding winding wire is soldered.
The entire coil body with the flange 61 can be produced in a plastic injection molding process or plastic pressing process together with all recesses, channels and slots.
The described design of the connection elements for the winding and their arrangement in the flange of the bobbin has the advantage that no tension is exerted on the winding wire when the wire ends are soldered to the connection pins, which prevents the winding wire from tearing. Since a wire loop is formed when the transverse web of the connection pin is screwed into the recess, the wire will certainly not tear during this process.
Since the connection pin is also at least approximately surrounded by hardened synthetic resin after casting the recess, there is only a very low risk that when soldering a connection wire to the connection pin, the transferred heat will heat the, for example, low-melting flange so much that the Loosen the connection pin in the flange or even fall out of the flange.
Another advantage is that the wires do not end anywhere on the surface of the inside and outside of the flange, but are covered everywhere by an insulating layer of flange material opposite the winding and the outside. The same is the case on the inside of the flange for the connector pin.
