Additional patent to the main patent no. 433 671 Device for connecting window or door frames or the like with the masonry The main patent relates to a device for connecting window or door frames or the like. With the masonry.
The present additional patent proposes a further useful embodiment of the device according to the claim of the main patent with an expanding nut formed from a cylinder and a cone with a cylindrical internal thread, the larger conical surface facing away from the screw head and the cylindrical part is angeord net on the smaller conical surface.
In the nut of this invention according to the main patent, according to the present additional patent, according to the invention, the cylindrical internal thread merges towards the conical part into a tapered thread, the nut also having slots distributed around the circumference which are open towards the larger base area.
This has the advantage that the bore of the expanding nut does not need to be manufactured precisely and the nut offers greater strength with the same expenditure of material, so that greater expansion pressure can be exerted. Furthermore, the manufacture is particularly simple if the nut is made from thermoplastic material, for example by injection molding.
In practical use it has been shown that the expansion sleeves often cannot be introduced into the borehole because it is smaller than the nominal diameter of the drill; this is because the drill wears out with use. On the other hand, however, the expansion sleeves must sit snugly in the wall hole over their entire length, so that a perfect fit of the frame mens is guaranteed.
These disadvantages can be avoided in that the expansion sleeve can have a longitudinally extending slot and its outer diameter is, for example, smaller than the nominal diameter of the drill hole.
As is well known, the diameters of the drills are graduated from 1 to 1 mm or from 2 to 2 mm. If the drill is worn out, the drill hole becomes smaller; In accordance with this reduction in the drill diameter, the nominal diameter of the expansion sleeve should also be able to be smaller; then it is possible to attach them in drill holes whose diameter is smaller than the nominal diameter of the drill. On the other hand, however, as a result of the longitudinal passage through the slot, the expansion process ensures that the expansion sleeve comes into engagement with the borehole over a greater length than could be the case if the continuous longitudinal slot were omitted.
It is also advantageous that such sleeves are rolled from plate-shaped material.
If the expansion sleeve is formed at the end to be expanded with a diameter that is about 5 / lo mm smaller than at the point where the expansion sleeve begins, the introduction into the borehole is thereby made much easier.
It is preferably also provided that the sleeve has a longitudinal slot and that its outer diameter and the width of the longitudinal slot are dimensioned such that the outer diameter can be adjusted by compressing the sleeve from a value above the nominal diameter to a limit value below the nominal diameter.
As a result, it is not only sufficient that the sleeve sits sufficiently rotationally fixed in the boreholes for the purpose of screwing it in, but that it is also possible to use boreholes which are made with an already worn drill. In the case of a nominal diameter of 12 mm, for example, there can be a deviation of 0.2 mm upwards and a deviation of 0.4 mm downwards.
To increase the spreading effect, it is advantageous to let the thread arranged in the nut taper to a point at the end and to design the end of the screw bolt in the same way. This, together with the slots in the nut, makes it possible for the nut to be spread apart beyond the diameter of the sleeve when the screw bolt is screwed in accordingly, so that a firm seat is also created when the anchor is arranged in relatively soft masonry.
This nut is expediently made of plastic, so that its internal thread for receiving the screw bolt and its thread is expediently designed as a coarse, wood screw-like thread.
The rotation of the nut when it is being tightened can be prevented in a simple manner in that at least one longitudinal rib is arranged on the nut, which rib engages in one of the slots. If it engages in the short slots, essential parts of it burst away, but their function of acting as a rotation lock is retained.
The use of a screw bolt with a countersunk head is particularly advantageous in this device because now not only the nut, but also the conical countersunk head spread the sleeve so that it engages over the entire length with the parts to be connected.
If commercially available carriage bolts with a square are used, the sleeve is dimensioned in such a way that it allows the square of such a screw to easily engage in the relaxed state.
The drawing relates to exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention. 1 shows an expanding nut with a slit at the end in longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows the nut according to FIG. 1 seen from the cylindrical end, FIG. 3 shows a continuously slotted expansion sleeve, FIG. 4 shows the sleeve from the side, FIG. 5 the sleeve according to Figure 4 in section along the line AB in the direction of the arrow, Figure 6 shows a screw bolt with the sleeve in longitudinal section,
7 shows another embodiment of a screw bolt with the sleeve in longitudinal section, FIG. 8 shows a longitudinal section through a nut, FIG. 9 shows the nut according to FIG. 8 towards the screw head, FIG. 10 shows the nut according to FIG. 8 in plan view see ge and Fig.11 another embodiment of the sleeve. The expanding nut according to FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of the cylindrical part 24 and the conical part 25. The cylindrical internal thread is denoted by 26, 27 are the slots.
In the conical part 25, the conical Boh tion 28 is arranged, in which the thread 26 expires at 29.
In Fig. 3, 30 denotes the expansion sleeve, 31 denotes the longitudinal slot, while 32 is the expansion slots of a known type arranged at the inner end of the borehole. 33 denotes the longitudinal area of the sleeve 30, which is conical in shape such that the diameter at the free end is smaller than at the other boundary of this area. The conicity is marked exaggerated for the purpose of a clearer representation.
In FIGS. 4-9, the sleeve is designated with 1 and the longitudinal slot with 2. 3 are the short slots at the end of the sleeve, two of which are expediently arranged, together with the slot 2, evenly around the circumference of the sleeve. 4 is the screw bolt with the countersunk head 5, which is conical in a known manner on the underside, while the face facing it can be designed accordingly hollow cone of its inclination.
6 is another screw bolt with a lens head 7, which however has a square extension 8 which fits loosely into the sleeve 1 in the uncompressed state.
The mother is denoted by a total of 9. It is essentially double-conical, with one cone 10 at the outer end of the nut merging continuously into a cylindrical part 11. The other cone is arranged at the inner end of the nut and marked with 12 be. The nut itself has four slots 13, which go through approximately half the length of the nut and can expand to the free end, as shown at 14. A cylinder which is closed on one side and which is only thin-walled with the nut itself is designated by 15. This part can also be formed from just a thin circular plate.
The arrangement of the parts 15 is advantageous in terms of production because it simplifies the design. They also fill the purpose of holding the individual segments of the nut separated by the slots together during insertion into the wall hole, so that they can not spread before the final seat of the device by foreign bodies present in the borehole.
Another significant advantage of the parts 15 is that they protect the thread of the screw bolt from the ingress of dust during insertion into the borehole.
Since the parts 15 are connected via a thin-walled predetermined breaking point with the Seg elements arranged between the slots, they do not prevent the nut end from spreading completely. In this case, the material bridge breaks off.
In the interior of the nut 9, a bore 16 tapering towards its inner end is arranged.
The nut is preferably made of plastic and also has a corresponding thread, as does the screw bolt 4 at the lower end.
If normal carriage bolts with a square as shown in Fig. 6 are used, a material corresponding to the metal fine thread, which can also be a plastic, must be used.
On the outer circumference of the nut 9, as FIG. 10 shows, a longitudinally extending rib 18 is arranged on the end of the nut facing the screw head 5. The rib engages in one of the slots 2 or 3.
11 shows a sleeve 18 which has a conical taper 19 at the spreading end, for the purpose of making it easier to insert the sleeve into the drill holes.
The material bridge 15 is advantageously designed so that it closes the interior space in which the thread is arranged at least transversely to the longitudinal axis of the nut. In this way, effective protection against penetration of drill dust when inserting the device is achieved.
