Description
Fuel paste and process for its production The present invention relates to a fuel paste and a process for its production, characterized by the fact that it has the purest silicon dioxide as the fuel carrier substance, the particle size of which varies from 3 to 40 mg, and which is obtained by adding the fuel carrier substance Add a multiple of alcohol with stirring until a uniform paste is obtained.
It is known that a solid fuel or, more recently, a fuel paste is often used to fire up wood, charcoal and the like.
The previously known fuel pastes have the disadvantage that they contain organic material as the paste base. The same burns with the formation of a sooty flame, which is perceived as extremely unpleasant, all the more so when z. B. a charcoal filling should be ignited in a grill.
Surprisingly, it has been shown, which could not be easily assumed, that inorganic material in the form of the purest silicon dioxide powder, the particle size of which is between 3 and 40 mg, is extremely suitable as a fuel paste base.
A fuel paste produced according to the present invention burns without the formation of soot and leaves minimal amounts of silicon dioxide behind. The fuel paste can easily be filled into tubes, eliminating any risk of explosion. It is also economical and non-toxic. Exemplary embodiment: 30 kg of silicon dioxide powder with a particle size of 3 to 40 mg are gradually mixed with 225.5 kg of fuel in a suitable vessel and with constant stirring. Stirring is continued until a uniform paste has formed. The fuel paste thus produced is then filled into tubes in a customary manner.
