Description
Segment guide jacket for the shield So far, the segment elements for shield drives were simply mounted in the sheet steel cylinder of the shield tail. To enable the shield to be steered in horizontal and vertical curves, the outer diameter of the tubbing had to be a certain amount smaller than the inner diameter of the tail of the shield.
On the one hand, this play must not be too big in order to allow the tubbing to be centered and guided; If, on the other hand, it was too small, steering maneuvers resulted in the segment ring being forced into the shield tail and thus overstressing of the segments or the shield tail.
The purpose of the present invention is to absorb the additional forces occurring during changes of direction in shield propulsion and at the same time to improve mobility. This is achieved by installing a previously unused device in the shield tail.
The present invention relates to a segment guide jacket for a propulsion shield, characterized in that it is mounted floating in the shield tail, its inclination to the shield axis is adjustable and can be displaced transversely to this.
The combination of these two movement options within the scope of the specified game between the guide jacket and shield tail brings considerable advantages. Sealing problems between the tail shield and the segments can also be solved in a simpler way by installing the guide jacket.
To move the guide jacket according to the invention, it can have presses and / or springs on it.
The guide jacket can be stored in a liquid such as water, oil, liquid plastics or on springs.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the segment guide jacket according to the invention.
The segment guide jacket (1) is floating in the shield tail (8), for example in liquid (2), which is prevented from leaking by the seals (3).
By elements (4), for example presses, the inclination of the segment guide jacket with respect to the shield axis can be changed as desired.
Elements (5), for example presses, can be used to change the eccentricity of the segment guide jacket with respect to the shield axis as required.
The jacking presses (7), which propel the shield, are supported on the pre-installed segment (6).
