The present invention relates to a method for producing a weaver's comb, a weaver's comb produced by this method and the use of this weaver's comb for the production of a multi-part weaver's comb.
In general, weaving combs consist of two frame elements between which a number of adjacent teeth extend which are designed in such a way that they keep the warp yarn at a distance during the weft.
Weaver's combs of the type just described have a number of serious disadvantages, one of which is due to the fact that a weaver's comb has to be provided for each cloth width that is to be manufactured, which means that the company has a large warehouse must have in stock of different combs. It has also been found that the distance between the individual teeth tends to vary in size, which results in an unsightly woven cloth.
The aim of the present invention is to propose a Weber comb which does not have the above-mentioned disadvantages, and a method for its manufacture, and a use.
The method for producing the Weber comb is characterized in that a number of teeth are arranged next to one another at a certain distance with a small tolerance and a head part is cast around one end of all these teeth and a foot part around the other end.
The weaver's comb, manufactured according to the above method, is characterized in that it has a number of teeth arranged next to one another at a certain distance, which are held in a head part and a foot part, the distance between the teeth only varying within very small limits.
The use of this Weber comb for the production of a multi-part Weber comb is characterized in that several combs are arranged next to one another on a carrier element and are fastened by clamping the foot parts in a groove-like recess in the carrier element.
Preferably, the teeth can be provided with a cut at both ends to ensure secure anchoring in the head and foot sections.
Furthermore, the base part of the Weber comb can advantageously be trapezoidal in cross-section, with the wider surface facing away from the teeth.
Embodiments of the subject invention are to be described in more detail below with reference to the drawings.
1 shows a side view of a Weber comb, FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the Weber comb from FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a front view of the Weber comb from FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a partially cut-away side view of the Weber comb from FIG attached to a carrier element and FIG. 5 is a side view of a further embodiment, similar to FIG. 4.
In Fig. 1, 2 and 3, a comb part is shown, wel Ches consists of a number of teeth 1, a head part 2 and a foot part 3 arranged at a certain distance besides one another. The head part 2 has a square cross section, while the cross section of the foot part 3 is trapezoidal. The teeth 1 are provided with incisions 11 (Figure 2), so that a secure anchoring in the head part 2 and in the foot part 3 is guaranteed. Further incisions 12 are provided in the middle of the teeth 1 in order to achieve a perfect alignment of the teeth when they are attached.
The base part 3 is manufactured in a precision casting process, the manufacturing tolerances being so small that no significant deviation in the dimensions can be determined when several parts are placed next to one another. In practice this means that the distance between the individual teeth may vary by a maximum of 0.005 mm. The length of the combs may only deviate from the norm by a small tolerance, at most about 0.025 mm.
So it is possible to produce the comb parts only in a standardized size, and to use them in a large number when equipping a loom in order to be able to produce any desired fabric width.
The trapezoidal cross-section of the foot part 3 is very favorable in that it enables the comb part to be fastened quickly and precisely to the loom.
In Fig. 4 it is shown how a comb 6 is attached to a loom. 4 with a support element of the loom is referred to, which has a turkey-like Vertie fungus. A side wall of the recess is formed with respect to the inclination corresponding to the foot part 3 of the comb 6, while the other Be tenwand is at right angles to the bottom surface of the recess. A clamping element 5 with an inclined and a right-angled side surface is designed so that it fits together with the foot part 3 of the comb 6 in the recess Ver. A clamping screw 7 is used to press the clamping piece 5 firmly against the foot part 3 in order to ensure a secure attachment of the comb 6.
A longitudinal adjustment of the comb 6 can be carried out very easily with this type of fastening, in that only the clamping screw 7 has to be loosened slightly in order to move the comb 6 longitudinally. When the screw 7 is tightened again, the entire comb 6 assumes an exactly right-angled position, without further adjustment being necessary.
From FIG. 5 it can be seen that the Weber comb can be equipped with a cap element 8, which is designed so that it can be clamped to the head part 2 by means of a screw 13. Support struts 9 are attached to the cap element 8 at one end and to the carrier element 4 at the other end by means of bolts 10.
According to a further embodiment (not shown), the cap element can be provided with a slot into which the head part 2 of the comb 6 is inserted in a clamping manner. In this case, no clamping screw is necessary. The result of the arrangement according to FIG. 5 is that the comb 6 is supported so that forces which can act on it during operation do not have any influence on its position.
In this way it is possible that a number of combs 6 of the type just described can be put together to form a Weber comb of any width. It does not have to be made and stored a large number of weaver combs different widths, which results in a considerable saving in time and costs. Of course, a part of the comb can also be used alone as a weaver's comb if very narrow cloth has to be woven.
