Part for the realization of a bridge span
The present invention relates to a part for producing a bridge span.
A bridge comprises at least one pillar formed by a crown fitting onto a root of a tooth and a span extending from this pillar and comprising at least one base on which is fixed a false tooth, a false tooth also being fixed on the pillar.
These bridges have a number of drawbacks, in particular, once in place, they are irremovable, the abutments being sealed so that if a false tooth deteriorates, it is necessary to remove the bridge entirely, which risks damage. '' damage the roots supporting the pillars.
One of the aims of the invention is to remedy this drawback.
The teeth of each person are particular, so that the realization of a bridge is a delicate work which must be developed, which entails significant costs.
Another object of the invention is to allow the use of parts made in series, which considerably reduces the cost price.
The part according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a shell in the general shape of a spherical cap, the cavity of which opens on the side intended to be occlusal and having a lateral opening intended to be placed vestibularly, a false stump s' fitting into the cavity, having a projecting portion outside thereof is intended to support and to be included in a false tooth, and means for the removable fixing of the false stump in the cavity of the shell.
Particular embodiments given by way of examples are shown in the appended drawing, in which:
Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a part according to a first embodiment.
Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of a second embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a sectional view through a vertical plane on a larger scale of the part of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 is a sectional view on a larger scale through a vertical plane of a part according to the embodiment of FIG. 2.
Fig. 5 shows, in perspective, a bridge, the false teeth not being mounted.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the part consists of a shell 1 internally having a flat bottom 2 and a lateral opening 3. In the plane of the opening is erected a bar 4 pierced with an elongated slot 5.
In the shell 1, a false stump 6 is fitted with a flat portion 7 of shape corresponding to the shape of the base 2 and pierced with a cavity 8 for the engagement of the bar 4.
The false stump is pierced with a duct 9 opening into the cavity 8 on the slot 5 and extended by a tapped hole 10 for screwing in a screw 11.
Between the bottom 2 and the flat part 7 is interposed a thickness of elastic material 12 such as rubber. The false tooth 13 shown in phantom is made of ceramic or resin on the false stump which is included in it.
The part of fig. 1 and 3 is intended for use as a span member for premolars or molars.
In fig. 2, there is shown a variant embodiment of the invention of a part for the production of bridges intended to be used for incisors. This part comprises a shell 15 provided with a lateral opening 16 and a false stump 17 which fits into the shell, the false stump being provided with a tapped hole 18 in which a screw 19 is screwed passing through a hole 20 of the shell 15, said hole being provided with an internal shoulder 21 and the screw having a head 22.
As in the embodiment n of FIGS. 1 and 3, the false stump 17 is intended to support and be included in the false tooth 23 shown, in phantom, the latter being made in a traditional manner of ceramic or resin.
In fig. 5, there is schematically shown a bridge intended to be placed between a canine and a molar. This bridge comprises a crown 25 intended to cap a molar root and to be sealed thereon, this crown supporting a false tooth 26, a Richmond crown>) 28 supporting a false tooth 29 and provided with a pivot intended to penetrate in the root of the canine, this crown having to be sealed on said root.
Between the rings 25 and 28 are welded two parts identical to the parts 1 of FIGS. 1 and 3, these pieces forming the span and in front, each receiving a false stump supporting and included in a false tooth 13.
It will be understood that the invention enables bridges to be produced in a simple and rapid manner. Indeed, one chooses to achieve the span of the shells 1 corresponding to the required dimension, then they are welded between the rings 25 and 28 so that the opening 3 is turned vestibularly, the false tooth 13 is produced on the false. stump 6 and the latter is fixed by engaging the cavities 8 on the bars 4, and by screwing the screw 1 1 into the threaded hole 10. Thanks to the elastic thickness 12 the false tooth 13 will be mounted elastically.
The shell 15 of the second embodiment is mounted in an identical manner to the shell 1; however, the false tooth is not resiliently mounted because no resilient material is provided between the bottom of the shell 15 and the false stump 17.
