Monitoring device for the pressure of a gas As a monitoring device for the pressure of a gas, so-called pressure monitors are usually used, which work with a piston to which the gas pressure acts. Depending on the size of the pressure, the piston takes a certain position against the force of a spring, so that, for. B. an electrical con tact from the piston is opened or closed depending on the pressure. The temperature of the gas is not taken into account.
In certain cases, especially with electrical switches, where a gas is used to extinguish the arc, it is not only the pressure of the gas that matters, but also its density. According to known laws, this changes with temperature if the pressure is kept constant. Therefore, the pressure of the gas must be monitored and regulated taking the temperature into account. For this purpose, monitoring devices have already been used which take into account the temperature variation of the gas with the help of a so-called heat sensor.
In the case of the monitoring devices referred to as temperature-compensated control switches according to German Auslegeschrift 1166878, the electrical contact, which is moved in one direction by a force dependent on the gas pressure, as with the pressure monitors mentioned, acts on the electrical contact, and in the other direction a counterforce applied by the temperature sensor, so that as the temperature rises, the contact is only actuated by a higher gas pressure.
If you use this control switch to control a compressor, a higher gas pressure is regulated at high temperatures than at low temperatures. If the heat sensor exerts a suitable temperature-dependent counterforce, the temperature-compensated control switch can be used to set a constant gas density.
Since the heat sensor of the known control switch supplies the counterforce by utilizing the temperature-dependent expansion of a medium contained in the heat sensor, the known monitoring devices work purely mechanically. They are relatively expensive to manufacture because only very small tolerances are permitted. Above all, they are difficult to adjust and not adaptable to the desired extent.
As a remedy, it is proposed in German Patent 1226684 to avoid the known temperaturkom compensated control switch by using several temperature-independent pressure monitors, one of which is made effective depending on the temperature via a thermostat. However, this results in a multiplication of the number of pressure monitors, so that effort and susceptibility to interference cannot be reduced to the desired extent.
Another, older proposal relates to the control of a compressed gas switch with a closed gas circuit and provides that the pressure-dependent locking elements required for the switch can be actuated by a temperature-independent pressure switch in the high and low-pressure part of the gas circuit, with the two pressure switches in their Working areas are set in such a way that one records the critical values at high temperatures and the other at low temperatures. This arrangement is ever tailored to the special case mentioned.
In addition, like the other proposal, it results in discontinuities in the operating characteristics, which may be undesirable.
In contrast, the invention aims to provide a generally applicable advantageous solution to the problem of monitoring the pressure of a gas taking into account the temperature. For this purpose, in the monitoring device according to the invention, an electrical transducer for the pressure and an electrical transducer for the temperature as well as means are used to electrically summarize their output values for joint actuation of the contact.
It is thus possible to achieve a control which is similar to that with the temperature-compensated control switches according to the aforementioned German Auslegeschrift 1166878 and has lines of constant gas density as working characteristics.
In contrast to the known arrangement, however, with the device of the invention it is possible to vary and set the variables supplied by the transducers. The transducers can be installed in the appropriate places without difficulty. The joint operation can, for. B. be carried out as a comparison of the sizes of the transducers with a setpoint value, so that precise control is possible. The electrical circuits required for this can be arranged independently of the monitoring location and z.
B. be housed in a control room. In addition, with the device of the invention it is possible to feed various monitoring devices with one transducer. As a result, several contacts can be operated according to different working characteristics without great effort.
Appropriately, a pressure-dependent variable resistance is used as a transducer for the pressure to implement the invention. In the simplest possible way, this can be a pressure gauge that adjusts a potentiometer. In a similar way you can work with Ka capacities and / or inductors. In addition, it is also possible to use directly pressure-dependent Wi resistors similar to a carbon microphone.
An ohmic resistor with a temperature-dependent characteristic is also well suited as a sensor for the temperature. A semiconductor resistor is preferably used. An electronic amplification of the measured values delivered by the semiconductor resistor can be provided here in order to obtain a low internal resistance and thus a high load capacity, which is particularly desirable in the event that several contacts are to be actuated.
The electrical variables that can be coordinated with the pressure and the temperature can advantageously be fed to the ends of a voltage divider. Depending on the position in relation to the ends, a voltage can then be obtained between the ends according to a desired valence of these quantities. B. rising tempe temperature is greater, remains the same or is smaller. This means that you can easily adapt to different characteristics. The voltage divider can be adjustable so that changes are possible during operation.
With the voltage tapped at the voltage divider voltage you can make contact directly, z. B. elec tromagnetic actuate. However, it is more advantageous to use it to control an electronic multivibrator, which in turn switches a relay. It is particularly favorable if the value tapped off at the voltage divider is recorded with a compensation circuit, because then the transducers can get by with a low output. The compensation voltage, which corresponds to a setpoint value that must be maintained depending on the temperature, is expediently also preset by a voltage divider.
The voltage obtained with the compensation circuit can also control an electronic trigger stage which actuates the electrical contact. Under certain circumstances, several relays can be connected in series in order to obtain multiple amplification.
To explain the invention in more detail, an Ausführungsbei game is described in the fol lowing with reference to the drawing.
The monitoring device is shown in Fig. 1 as a block diagram, while Fig. 3 shows details of the structure.
Fig. 2 is a diagram for explaining the summary of the voltages supplied by transducers with the aid of a voltage divider.
The monitoring device shown is intended to control the gas circuit of a 110 kV high-voltage switchgear, in particular the circuit breaker, insulated with sulfur hexafluoride (SFc).
As can be seen in FIG. 1, the monitoring device is fed with a direct voltage U of 24 V from a single voltage source 1. A measured value transmitter 2 for the pressure, shown as a potentiometer, is connected to this. The wiper 22 of the potentiometer is displaced to the left in the direction of arrow 23 by a manometer, not shown, when the pressure of the gas rises, so that a more negative potential is tapped.
A potentiometer that is connected to the DC voltage source 1 is also drawn as the sensor 3 for the temperature. The wiper 32 of the potentiometer is z. B. of a not Darge presented thermometer with increasing temperature in the direction of arrow 33 to the right. Since a more positive potential is tapped.
Lines 4 and 5 are connected to the wiper 22 and 32 of the transducers 2 and 3 as busbars, which lead the potentials used as electrical variables within the meaning of the invention to several identical circuits 6, 7, etc.
The circuits 6, 7, etc. may be the same ausgebil det. They comprise a voltage divider 8, the end 9 of which is connected to the line 4 and the end 10 of which is connected to the line 5. An electronic trigger stage 12 is connected to the tap 11 of the voltage divider 8, with which the valency of the electrical variables is set. The trigger stage 12 is fed by the DC voltage source 1. It controls a magnetic coil 13 which actuates electrical contacts 14.
A voltage divider 15, which is also connected to the voltage source 1, provides the flip-flop 12 egg NEN with the grinder 16 adjustable setpoint. The circuits 6, 7, etc. are therefore designed as a compensation circuit, the contacts 14 being actuated when the voltage between the wipers 11 and 16 exceeds a certain value.
In Fig. 2 it is shown how the potential of the wiper 22, 32 and 11 changes with the temperature if the amount of gas to which the transducers 2 and 3 are assigned remains constant. The potential of the negative pole of voltage source 1 (voltage U) related to the positive pole is denoted as 10011 / o. As can be seen, the potential of the grinder 22 is higher because the grinder migrates to the left at the pressure of the gas that increases with the temperature, as indicated by the arrow 23 in FIG.
In contrast, the potential of the wiper 32 becomes lower as the temperature rises, because the wiper 32 is supposed to move to the right according to FIG. 1 with increasing pressure (arrow 33). In these cases, the potential changes mentioned are linear with temperature. Therefore, depending on the temperature, a more or less high voltage is obtained at the voltage divider B provided for setting the steepness of the characteristic curve.
The potential of the wiper 11 is constant regardless of the temperature at a certain th position given by the characteristics of the transducers 2 and 3, as long as, as assumed here, the amount of gas remains unchanged. So you can use the potential of the grinder 11 as a measure of the density of the gas ver and thus z. B. control a compressor that is to maintain a certain density. The target value of this density, i.e. H. the response value for the flip-flop 12 is set with the wiper 16 on the voltage divider 15.
Fig. 3 shows a successfully tested Ausfüh approximately form of the invention. In this case, the transducer 2 is an ohmic resistor 25, on which the grinder 22 is moved by a manometer 26. The manometer 26 is connected via a line 27 to the gas volume to be monitored.
The measuring transducer 3 works with a hot conductor resistor 30, which is expediently arranged directly in the gas. The hot conductor resistor 30 controls an electronic amplifier 31 provided for adaptation. This comprises a resistor 36 (5 kΩ), a resistor 37 (1 k <B> 2) </B> and a working resistor 38 (100 k .i2) for a transistor 39. The connection at the emitter of the transistor is denoted by 32 in analogy to FIG.
The voltage divider 8 for setting the steepness of the characteristic curve is structurally combined with the trigger stage 12. On his wiper 11, the base of an NPN transistor 41 is closed via a resistor 40 (10 k S2). The emitter of transistor 41 is connected to wiper 16 of voltage divider 15. Between the base and emitter is a diode 42 which limits the reverse voltage at transistor 41 as overvoltage protection.
The collector current of 41 controls the PNP transistor 44 via a limiting resistor 43 (2.5 k S2). With the resistor 45 (1 k .f2) and the diode 46, the operating point of the transistor 44 is stabilized and proper switching behavior is also achieved higher ambient temperatures guaranteed.
In the output of the transistor 44 is a relay coil 48 with contacts 49. In addition, the output is connected to the base of the transistor 41 via a feedback resistor 49 (1.6 m S2).
The combination of the resistors 50 (60 k S2), 51 (220 k S2) and 52 (approx. 100 k 2, temperature-dependent) is used to stabilize the temperature of the response value of the trigger stage.
The contacts 49 of the relay 48 switch a second direct voltage source (e.g. 220 V =) indicated at 55 to the relay 13 with the contacts 14. Therefore, the direct voltage source 1 is always only slightly loaded.
The diodes 56 and 57 are provided as overvoltage protection. They limit the switching voltages generated when switching off the relay coils 48 and 13.
This exemplary embodiment is used to monitor or regulate a constant density. But it is also possible to monitor other temperature dependencies, e.g. B. a density that rises with increasing temperature. Furthermore, one is not restricted to the fact that, as in the exemplary embodiment, passive electrical elements are used to obtain the electrical quantities that are proportional to the pressure or the temperature. It is quite conceivable that active elements, e.g. B. to use a thermocouple that emits a certain voltage depending on the temperature.
Since it is potential-free, this voltage could be added directly to a voltage that can be coordinated with the pressure in order to actuate an electrical contact for monitoring the pressure, taking the temperature into account.
