B. an Infrarot-Strahlen, vorbei.
Method for fanning the sheets of a stack lying vertically on top of each other
Sheets and device for carrying out the process
The invention relates to a method and a device for fanning out the sheets of a stack of sheets lying perpendicularly one above the other.
In paper processing machines that process single sheets, it is customary to remove the sheets from the stack by picking up either the bottom or the top sheet. For this task, versatile and complicated feeding and separating devices are in use, some of which carry out the transport of the single sheets with suction air nozzle units and some with the help of friction.
For printing machines and duplicating devices, so-called insertion devices for feeding sheets are already known, which work with a scraper and an adjustable retaining member. These devices also have the disadvantage that they are very cumbersome and expensive. The inclination of the stacking table must be precisely adapted to the slipperiness and sensitivity of this paper, which required skill and knowledge on the part of the operator. The paper stack had to be fed forward correctly by hand, which in turn required skill of the operator. If the table slope is too great, z. B. the stack to the front together, which led to stoppers. If the table incline angle was too low, the supply of the following sheets temporarily stopped.
This amounted to a reduction in the performance of the machine.
The aim of the invention is to create a method and a device which make it possible to fan out individual sheets of a paper stack in the simplest and most secure manner without expensive parts.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that the stack on an inclined stacking table is exposed to the action of mechanically, electromechanically or purely electrically generated vibration oscillations.
The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is characterized in that the stack support table is inclined in the direction of overlap and can be set in vibrations which are directed both in the direction of overlap and back as well as perpendicular to the plane of the sheet.
The invention also relates to the use of the method according to the invention for the automatic transfer of the individual sheets of paper stacks to feed members of paper processing machines.
Some exemplary embodiments of devices for carrying out the method according to the invention are described below with reference to the drawing. Show it:

Fig. 2 is a plan view of the device without a stack of paper,

FIG. 5 shows a schematic cross section according to the axis A-B in FIG. 4 through one of the feeding stations of the gathering machine,

4 through the alignment station,
9 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 7 through the gluing device and the fanned out set of forms,
10 shows a section corresponding to FIG. 8 through the glued and aligned set of forms.
According to FIGS. 1 and 2, a pair of driven feed rollers 2 are located in a machine frame 1, behind them a retainer roller 4 seated on a stationary axis 3, now above this a powered feed roller 5. In front of the gap 6 formed by the rollers 4 and 5 there is a runner-shaped bend 7 of a stacking table 8, which is directed slightly obliquely upwards, has a laterally adjustable guide bracket 9 on both sides and carries the paper stack 10, which can hold up to 500 or more sheets. Above the runner-shaped bend 7 of the stacking table 8, near the feed roller 5, an infeed plate 11 is attached which limits the height of the paper stack.
The stacking table 8 is attached to the machine frame by means of Gununt metal buffers 12. The inclined position of the stacking table 8 is constant and favorable for all types of paper. Of course, this inclination can also be changed by known means, such as long slides and terminal screws.
An electromagnetic vibrator 22, to which a magnet armature 23 attached to the bottom of the stacking table 8 is assigned, is attached to a rigid cross member 20 with the aid of a support bracket 21. The magnetic pulses cause the armature 23 attached to leaf springs 24 to vibrate relative to the stationary vibrator magnet 22, which act in the direction arrow 25 on the stacking table 8 and the paper stack 10 lying thereon. The effect of the so-called micro-throw principle is shown schematically in FIG. 3 and shows the tiny trajectory parabolas 27 through which the paper stack 10 is given a light but intensive transport direction according to arrow 26.
The pulse size and number of the vibrations are adjustable so that the sheets of the paper stack can be fed to the downstream paper processing machine in an uninterrupted flow, the sheets individually passing through the gap 6 formed by the rollers 4 and 5. This gap 6 can be precisely adjusted to the paper thickness in a known manner.
The runner-shaped bend 7 causes a fanning out 28 when the sheets run up, with the top sheet reaching the nip 6 first.
To support the fan-out effect, the surface of the bend 7 can have a coating that increases the friction with respect to the sheet edges. The device according to the invention described above is simple to manufacture and can be placed as a feeder in front of any paper processing machine in order to automatically feed in individual sheets. For this purpose, the rollers 2 and the roller 5 can be driven either by the paper processing machine or by their own drive via the gears 2 'and 5'.
4-10 show the application of the individual device shown and the previously described method in a so-called gathering machine.
On the left-hand side of FIG. 4, three similar fan-out devices, each with a paper stack 10, are shown. The individual sheets released by these fan-out devices are to be collated by the further devices and processed further in this state. The entire system is composed of gathering stations 35, a fanning station 41, a gluing station 43, a forming station 49 and a binding station 51, which is finally followed by a collecting box 53. The interaction of the individual stations takes place through a transport chain 31, which revolves over chain wheels 29 and 30.
This transport chain 31 is provided with transport fingers 32 arranged in pairs, the position of which can be seen from the illustration in FIGS. 5-10. The task of the transport fingers 32 is to collect the separated sheets 33, which are discharged from the three fan-out devices, as the illustration in FIG. 4 shows. The delivery takes place via the cycle-controlled feed rollers 2 and 5, which have already been shown in FIG. The sheets 33 pass from these feed rollers 5 and 2 onto two support rods 34, the arrangement of which can be seen in the illustration in FIG.
Although the stacking sheets 10 are separated in each station according to the vibration principle shown in FIG. 1, it should be noted that in the case of the fan-out devices shown in FIG. 4, the vibrations take place in the direction of the transport chain 31, while in the case of the gathering station 35, the vibration principle is used Fan out in the transverse direction becomes effective.
Each gathering station 35 accordingly has an inclined sliding table 36 which acts in the transverse direction and is connected to a vibrator 37, the vibratory vibrations of which aligns the collated sets of sheets 38 in the direction of arrow 39 (Fig. 5-10) against the alignment bar 40 running in the transport direction .
The set of sheets 38 collected in this way then reaches the fanning station 41 (Fig. 6), in which the sheets, under the action of the vibrator 37, are formed in a fan-like manner against the alignment bar 42, which is inclined to the slide table 36, the same effect as in the illustration according to FIG 1 is created.
In the now following gluing station 43 (Fig. 7), the fanned sheet edges 44 (see also Fig. 9) brush over a frustoconical applicator roller 46 dipping into an adhesive basin 45, which dries each of the flake-like sheet edges with a very thin, quick-drying setting by means of a doctor blade 47 Adhesive strip 48 gives up.
In the following forming station 49 (see FIGS. 8 and 10) the glued sheets are formed, brought about by the driven guide rollers 50, which again incline at right angles to the slide table 36, into a position with the same edges. The guide rollers 50 are coated with an anti-adhesive, e.g. B. silicone rubber, prepared to be adhesive-repellent so that no adhesive residue can form when it comes into contact with the glued edges of the leaves.
In the binding station 51, the sets of sheets with their glued edges run for fast binding of the adhesive carrier, e.g. B. to infrared rays.
In the collecting box 53, the finished sets of leaves are then deposited with the same edges by means of a vibrator 54 and can then be further processed.
