Device for grinding, mixing and / or kneading a good or for
Surface treatment of workpieces
The present invention relates to a device for grinding, mixing and / or kneading a material or for the surface treatment of workpieces with an annular working container which is resiliently supported in a substantially horizontal position and which can be made to vibrate by a vertical unbalanced shaft which is surrounded by the working container and at least carries an unbalanced mass arranged at a distance from the horizontal plane of the center of gravity of the working container.
There are devices of this type known, for. B. from the USA patents Nos. 2 862024 and 3 100 088, the working container has an approximately semicircular or rectangular ring cross-section and by one of the several phase-shifted unbalance masses that are spaced from the horizontal plane of the working container ring on a centered in the ring arranged drive shaft are attached, are set in vibration.
In such devices known as vibratory mills, the contents of the container consisting of the ground material or of workpieces and grinding or polishing agents simultaneously perform a circulating movement in the ring cross-section when it follows the ring path, so that a spiral path of the components of the Container contents is generated, which execute relative movements to one another when walking through this path.
The work process involved here takes a relatively long time.
Furthermore, facilities are known, for. B. from German Patent No. 937 035 and French Patent Nos. 1 264 038 and 1 344 181, which are used for the surface treatment of workpieces, which are arranged in the container together with grinding or polishing agents, possibly also with liquid, and as a result a rotating and superimposed oscillating movement of the working container can be brought to a relative movement with respect to the grinding and polishing agents.
The working containers perform their rotational movement around a horizontal or inclined axis with a rotational speed limited in such a way that the container content, which consists of the workpieces and their processing means and only partially fills the container in the vertical direction, forms an inclined surface layer in the container, which consists of the Container rotation upward migrating constituents of the container contents constantly emerges and from which the constituents on the downward rotating container side are continuously conveyed down into the part of the mass of the container contents following the container rotation there. In these devices, the mass of the container content thus forms a section of the container cross-section with an inclined upper boundary.
The work process takes a relatively long time, even with such facilities.
The aim of the invention is to create a device in which the intensity of the action is significantly increased and therefore the working process is shortened.
The device according to the invention is characterized in that the annular space of the working container is delimited sufficiently concave on the outer circumference over the plane of the largest container diameter in the vertical direction and the working container is driven by a torsionally elastic drive with such a rotation around the ring axis that the in which the working container Rotation following container contents resulting from the centrifugal force and the weight is smaller than the periodically falling acceleration force from the oscillating movement in the opposite direction of the resultant.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the drawing.
The single figure shows schematically a longitudinal section of the device according to the invention.
The annular space of the essentially horizontally arranged, annular working container 1 is delimited sufficiently on the outside at 2 in a concave manner over the plane x-x of the largest container diameter in the height direction. The container 1 is supported by springs 3 which, depending on the filling state of the container in or near the plane xx, attack the container at an inclined horizontal center of gravity plane in such a way that their central axes are in or above the center of gravity plane in an im cut essentially on the ring axis yy of the container 1 lying point.
The working springs 3 are carried by an abutment part 6 which is supported by bearings 4 and 5 so as to be rotatable about the ring axis y-y. This abutment part 6 can be set in rotation by the drive motor 7. The working container 1 is thus driven in a torsionally elastic manner via the springs 3.
An unbalanced shaft 10, which is concentrically surrounded by the abutment part 6, is connected to the motor 8 via an elastic coupling 9. This unbalanced shaft 10 is rotatably mounted by means of bearings 11 and 12 on parts 13 rigidly connected to the working container 1.
The unbalanced masses 14 and 15 are arranged on the unbalanced shaft 10 out of phase with one another. The unbalanced mass 14 is arranged at a distance below the horizontal center of gravity plane of the container 1 which coincides with the plane x-x or extends in the vicinity thereof, while the unbalanced mass 15 is located essentially in or above the center of gravity plane.
As a result of the rotating unbalance shaft 10, the working container 1 is given a tilting oscillation in a manner known per se, in which the axis of the unbalance shaft 10 describes a path which the points on the unbalance shaft axis in their momentary systems approximately an envelope line located obliquely on the outer surface of a hyperboloid can form, which is shifted in circles on the outer surface.
The contents of the container carry out a circulating movement in the direction of the arrow in the ring cross-section and also an advancing movement in the ring space. This creates a helical course of movement. Due to the different movement behavior of the constituents of the container contents, the constituents perform relative movement to one another during the tilting oscillation, the acceleration and deceleration forces resulting from the oscillating movement also causing alternating pressure between the constituents.
If, in addition, the container 1 is set in a rotary movement about the ring axis y-y by the drive motor 7, a centrifugal force F is created in the container contents; Furthermore, the force of gravity G is effective in the contents of the container.
Both forces combine to form the resulting force R. The speed of the container 1 and its ring diameter are now measured in such a way that the resulting force R is smaller than the acceleration force from the oscillating movement of the container, which periodically falls in its opposite direction. The centrifugal force causes increased pressure between the constituents of the container contents and therefore increased mutual action of its constituents, but a loosening effect with corresponding relative movements of the constituents as a result of the limitation of the magnitude of the resulting force R remains.
With the simultaneous oscillating and rotating movement of the container while maintaining the helical movement in the circular direction of the container ring, the container material assumes a filling shape that is in the area of the line free from the container wall
17 follows.
Since the oscillating movement of the container takes place on closed curved paths, the curvature of which points to one part of the path in the direction of rotation of the container and is opposite to the direction of rotation on the remaining part of the path, the result is a rotation of the container with a periodically changing angular velocity, which in turn continues the intense relative movement of the components of the container contents increased.
Corresponding to the intense relative movement and the centrifugal force-induced increase in the pressure that occurs between the components of the container contents with periodically changing sizes, the blending components are brought to act on one another in such a way that work processes of grinding, mixing, kneading or surface processing of workpieces can be carried out with short operating times. During the work process, the outer concave delimitation of the container annular space prevents the constituents of the container contents from being thrown out of the container. Rather, the components are constantly guided into the path of a circulating movement carried out in the cross section of the container annular space as a result of the oscillating movement of the container.
The working container can consequently be designed to be open on its upper side, as a result of which the formation of internal overpressures in the working container is prevented and the working process can be continuously monitored. In addition, it is possible to fill the constituents into the container and remove them from the container without actuating the container closures. The elastic rotary drive of the container means that the superposition of the rotary movement and the oscillating movement of the container can unfold freely.
