Each of the -NHR groups present in the dye compounds can be bonded directly to a carbon atom of an aryl radical present in the dye component or to a carbon atom of an alkyl radical which is bonded directly or through a bridging group or a bridge atom to an aryl radical present in the dye compound is.
Examples of such bridging atoms or groups are: -0-, -S-, -NH-, N-alkyl-, -S02-, -S02NH-, -CONH- and -S02N-alkyl-.
The dye compounds containing more than one -NHR group can be prepared by any of the methods known for preparing dyes bearing one or more substituted or unsubstituted amino groups.

The novel dyes defined above can optionally be isolated from the medium in which they were formed in the presence of a buffer and / or subsequently dried. Examples of buffers that can be used for this purpose are those which are derived from phosphates such as sodium dihydrogen phosphate and disodium hydrogen phosphate, citrates such as sodium citrate, borates and dialkylmetanilic acids,
such as the sodium salt of diethylmetanilic acid, which is preferably used in conjunction with sodium hydrogen sulfate.
Preferred classes of the dyes produced according to the invention are those dyes which contain 2 groups of the formula II bonded to the 1,3,5-triazine ring represented by T, and those dyes which contain a group of the formula II and @ a halogen atom, preferably contain a chlorine atom bonded to the 1,3,5-triazine ring represented by T.
The new dyes described above are of particular value for dyeing natural and artificial textile materials, for example textile materials containing cotton, viscose rayon, regenerated cellulose, wool, silk, cellulose acetate, polyamides, polyacrylonitrile, modified polyacrylonitrile and aromatic polyester fibers. The dyes can be obtained by dyeing,
Padding or printing using printing pastes containing conventional thickening agents or oil-in-water emulsions or water-in-oil emulsions are applied to the textile materials, the textile materials being applied in bright colors with excellent fastness as opposed to wet treatments such as washing.
The new dyes that contain water-solubilizing groups, such as sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid groups, which make them soluble in water, are of particular value for dyeing and printing cellulose textile materials.
For this purpose, the new dyes are preferably applied in conjunction with a treatment with an acid-binding agent, for example sodium carbonate, sodium metasilicate, trinuminium phosphate or sodium hydroxide, which can be applied to the cellulose textile material before, during or after the dye is applied brings.
If the cellulose textile material is then to be heated or steamed, a substance such as sodium bicarbonate or sodium trichloroacetate, which releases an acid-binding agent when heated or steamed, can also be used.
The new dyes, which do not contain any water-solubilizing groups, such as sulfonic acid, carboxylic acid, sulfonamide and acylsulfonamide groups, are generally applied to the textile materials in the form of an aqueous dispersion.
This dispersion can be obtained by mixing the dye with water in the presence of a dispersant, for example the sodium salt of a sulfonated naphthalene-formaldehyde condensation product, sulfosuccinic acid esters, Turkish red oil, alkylphenol / ethylene oxide condensation products, soap and similar surface-active agents Materials, with or without protective colloids, such as dextrin, British gum and water soluble proteins,
is ground. Optionally, the aqueous paste obtained in this manner can be dried to obtain a redispersible powder which can be converted into a non-dusting powder by one of the well-known methods for producing non-dusting powders.
The new dyes described above can be applied to nitrogen-containing textile materials, such as wool and polyamide textile materials, from a weakly alkaline, neutral or acidic dye bath. The dyeing process can be carried out at constant or practically constant pH, i.e. the pH of the dyebath remains constant or practically constant during the dyeing process,
or, if desired, the pH of the dyebath can be changed at any stage of the dyeing process by adding acids or acid salts or alkalis or alkaline salts. For example, dyeing can be started at a dyebath pH of about 3.5 to 5.5 and increased to about 6.5 to 7.5 or higher, if desired, during the dyeing process.
The dyebath can also contain substances commonly used for dyeing nitrogen-containing textile materials. Examples of such substances are ammonium acetate, sodium sulfate, ethyl tartarate, nonionic dispersants such as condensates of ethylene oxide with amines, fatty alcohols or phenols, surface-active cationic compounds such as quaternary ammonium salts, eg.
B. cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and cetyl pyridinium bromide, and organic liquids such as n-butanol and benzyl alcohol. In the following example, parts and percentages are expressed as parts and percentages by weight.
Example A mixture of 2.11 parts of 4-amino-2-methyl-azobenzene, 4.06 parts of 2-chloro-4- (N, N-diethylthiocarbamylthio) -6-phenyl-1 , 3,5-triazine, 1.26 parts of sodium bicarbonate and 100 parts of dioxane are refluxed for 8 hours with stirring.
The mixture is then added to 200 parts of a 10% strength aqueous saline solution, and the precipitated dye is filtered off, washed with water and dried.
The dye thus obtained, when it is dispersed in an aqueous medium, dyes wool and polyamide textile materials in yellow shades, which have excellent wash fastness.
The 2 - chloro - 4 - (N, N-diethyl-thiocarbamylthio) -6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine used in the above example can be obtained as follows: A solution of 5.6 Parts of the trihydrate of the sodium salt of diethyldithiocarbamic acid in 100 parts of water are stirred into a suspension of 5.6 parts of 2,4-dichloro-6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine in a mixture of 30 parts within one hour Acetone and 200 parts of water are added,
the temperature of the mixture being kept at 15 ° C. The mixture is then stirred for a further 45 minutes at 151 C, and the precipitate is then filtered off, washed with water and dried. After crystallization from petroleum ether (boiling range: 60 to 80 C), the 2 - chloro-4- (N, N-diethylthiocarbamylthio) - 6-phenyl-1,3,5-triazine melts at 67 to 68 C.
