Description

Packaging for transporting plants in pots or lumps
The subject of the invention is a packaging intended for the protection, transport and conservation of plants in pots or lumps, and a method of manufacturing this packaging.
The packaging is characterized by a tubular sheath of synthetic material sealed at its two ends and containing a pressurized gas, the sheath being clamped in its middle part by a ring forming two communicating capacities with walls supported and stiffened by inflation. .
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the packaging which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a sheath used for making a package.
Fig. 2 is an elevational view of a sector cut to the size of the plant and the pot.
Fig. 3 represents a phase of the packaging manufacturing process, and
figs. 4 and 5 show in plan and in elevation a finished package containing a potted plant.
The packaging consists of a tubular sheath 1 of synthetic material, preferably translucent, and of waterproof texture.
We cut a sector 2 delimited (fig. 2) by the two ends 3, 4. We introduce the pot 5 and we weld the base 6.
A gas supply nozzle 7 is introduced and the top edge 8 is closed off. The axial part at the height of the base of the rod 9 receives a tight hoop 10 determining two capacities 11, 12 with walls stiffened by inflation.
The advantages and applications of this packaging can therefore be seen.
The internal capacity receives a gas of variable nature depending on the species of the packed plant. Its tightness creates a microclimate where the effects of evaporation and condensation ensure the life of the plant.
The latter, while being isolated from the outside air, receives light and can live in glass there for a very long time without being damaged.
In addition, the axial strapping 10 determines two capacities 11 and 12, the walls of which are stiffened by the inflation constitute a <e shock absorber)> pneumatic against shocks, falls or others.
Transportation, storage, and even retail distribution are made possible using such multi-purpose packaging.
The height and diameter of sectors 2 vary depending on the nature of the plant. In addition, plants in clods are also protected by the wall of the sheath which itself forms pots or capacities retaining the earth.
The walls can be decorated or carry advertising inscriptions.
By simply severing an edge 6 or 8 for content extraction, the user can have a bag usable for any other purpose.
