Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht nach Fig. 1,
Fig. 4 einen Schnitt A-A nach Fig. 3.
Device for separating the granular material to be conveyed from the conveying air in air conveying systems
The invention relates to a device for separating the granular material to be conveyed from the conveying air, in particular from a material-air mixture that emerges from the pressure conveying line of a pneumatic conveyor system.
A grain separator is known in which a U-shaped exhaust duct is laid between the diffuser and a separator provided with a discharge nozzle. The exhaust air duct is open at the top so that the conveying air that is released can exit the grain separator.
The known grain separator has the disadvantage that the conveying air does not exit the exhaust air duct, as intended, but rather flows into the separator with the conveyed material. This does not significantly reduce the conveying speed of the conveyed material, so that it is thrown against the separator walls.
As a result, the material to be conveyed is caught again by the remaining conveying air and carried out of the discharge nozzle. The exit speed of the conveyed material is so great that part of it is thrown into the storage room at high speed. A perfect loading of open vehicles is not given. Apart from the damage to the conveyed goods, there is also a nuisance for the operating personnel.
It has already been proposed to design the exhaust air duct of the known grain separator without the outer jacket, so that the conveying air can flow out of the exhaust air duct on all sides.
However, this change did not provide any substantial remedy for the aforementioned disadvantages.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device for separating the granular material to be conveyed from the conveying air in air conveying systems, with the aid of which the material to be conveyed is gently separated from the conveying flow and proper loading of trucks, bunkers, etc. should be possible.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a separation chamber provided with a discharge nozzle, the jacket of which is provided with a perforation. The separation chamber preferably has a triangular shape in elevation. At a small distance from the rear wall, an apron, which is preferably made from a rubber plate, can be arranged in the separation chamber. For the purpose of better maintenance, the rear wall can be designed to be removable.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the perforated jacket surrounds a further cylindrically shaped separation chamber provided with outlet slots on the periphery, part of the jacket with its perforation covering the outlet slots of the upper half of the separation chamber, while the remaining part of the jacket with the outlet nozzle is at a distance from the lower outlet slots of the lower chamber half. The jacket with its discharge nozzle is preferably mounted in a sliding manner on the separation chamber.
Compared to the previously known conveyor separators, in the device according to the invention the conveying speed of the material to be conveyed can be reduced to such an extent as a result of the pressure drop in the separating chamber that it leaves the outlet connection at falling speed. The conveyed material is largely spared and wear and tear on the device is reduced to a minimum.
The invention is to be explained in more detail below using two exemplary embodiments. In the accompanying drawing show:
1 shows the device with rigidly arranged dropouts in longitudinal section,
FIG. 2 is a side view according to FIG. 1,
3 shows the device in a second embodiment, in which the discharge nozzle is arranged in a pendulous manner,
FIG. 4 shows a section A-A according to FIG. 3.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, a separation chamber 2 is connected to the end of the pressure delivery line 1, which has the shape of a right-angled, unequal triangle. The jacket 6 of the separation chamber 2 is perforated. The perforation 3 is dimensioned so large that only the conveying air can escape through it, while the granular conveyed material leaves the separation chamber 2 through a discharge nozzle 11 arranged on its lower part. In order for the conveyed material to be caught gently, an apron 10 made of rubber is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the rear wall 7, which is opposite the pressure conveying line 1. For better maintenance of the device, the wall 7 can be removed.
In a second embodiment of the device, which is shown in Fig. 3, the separation chamber 2 'has the shape of a cylinder. Exit slots 8 are incorporated in its jacket 6 '. So that the conveyed material is gently intercepted, the side of the separation chamber 2 'opposite the pressure conveying line 1 is closed by an apron 10'. The skirt 10 'is held in place by the wall 7'. A perforated jacket 9 is laid on the separation chamber 2 ', which is formed with a discharge nozzle 11' and slides on the jacket 6 '.
Part of the jacket 9 with its perforation 3 covers the outlet slots 8 of the upper half of the separation chamber 2 ', while the remainder of the jacket 9 and the outlet nozzle 11' envelop the lower outlet slots 8 (FIG. 4).
The conveyed material-air mixture 12 flows at full speed from the pressure conveying line 1 into the separation chamber 2; 2 '. The increase in the cross section creates a pressure drop. The conveying air 4 exits the separation chamber 2 through the perforation 3; 2 '. As a result, the conveying speed is significantly reduced, so that the material to be conveyed moves downwards due to its mass and into the lower part of the separation chamber 2; 2 'falls. A part of the conveyed material is due to the high conveying speed on the apron 10; 10 'is thrown, is braked and falls with the rest of the conveyed goods 5 out of the discharge nozzle 11; 11 '.
