Device for holding yarns in yarn clearers on winding machines and the like. The subject of the main patent is a device for retaining yarns in yarn clearers on winding machines and the like, with a cutting element for cutting through the yarn when a cutting impulse arrives at the same time as cutting through the yarn the end of the same tapering to the cutting point is clamped. In the main patent a device is described as an example in which the cutting and clamping process is only triggered electro-magnetically.
The actual cutting and clamping process is purely mechanical, in that the cutting and clamping device closes as a result of the pretension of a spring. During the subsequent reset, the spring is preloaded again by a mechanical movement.
The cutting and clamping device described in this example requires considerable constructive effort. In addition, it can prove to be disadvantageous that a mechanical resetting member, which is not influenced by the cutting device, is provided to cancel the clamping effect.
The separation of the cutting element and Klemmvorrich device, in particular the mechanical return device, requires a considerable structural effort. In addition, it proves to be disadvantageous that the cut end of the yarn is clamped until the engagement mechanism for the winding device is actuated.
The present additional invention relates to a device for holding yarns in Garnreini like on winding machines and the like, with a cutting element which cuts through the yarn when a cutting pulse arrives, and with a clamping device for clamping the yarn end converging to the cutting point, and is characterized by an electromagnet which actuates a cutting and clamping device in such a way that the yarn is initially cut by the cutting device and then clamped by the clamping device as long as the electromagnet is excited.
The effect of the clamping force can be chosen as long as desired. However, it can also be limited in time until a gripping member known per se has grasped the cut yarn, or only until the yarn has calmed down as a result of the sudden interruption of its movement.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail using the description and the figures. It shows Fig. 1 a cutting and clamping device in standby position, Fig. 2 the same immediately after triggering a cutting pulse.
In Figure 1, the yarn 1 passes through the active part of a known yarn clearer from bottom to top in a slot 2. This slot 2 extends both over the housing parts 3, 4, as well as over the actual cutting and clamping zone, which on the one side the cutting knife 5 and a clamping slide over 6, on the other side an abutment 7 with pressure surface 8 contains. Cutting knife 5 and slide 6 are mounted in the housing parts 3, 4 easily laterally displaceable, both for themselves and both in common sam.
The mutual displaceability between the cutting knife 5 and the clamping slide 6 is restricted by a compression spring 9 which is clamped between recesses 10, 11 lying one above the other. The arrangement is made so that in the rest position the cutting edge of the cutting knife 5 and the clamping surface of the clamping slide 6 are approximately flush.
The position of the cutting and clamping elements in the housing 3, 4, which are braced against one another by the compression spring 9, is determined, for example, by a spring 12 whose arms protrude into a recess 13 in the clamping slide 6. Lateral displacements due to the action of forces on the clamping slide 6 cause each of the arms of the spring 12 to be tensioned so that the clamping slide with the cutting knife assumes the position shown in FIG. 1 in the idle state.
On the cutting knife 5 is an armature 14, which - stored in a pivot point 16 of the housing part 3 is located in the area of action of an electromagnet 15 be. If the armature 14 is now attracted by the electromagnet 15 when a cutting pulse arrives, i. E. moved to the left, he pushes the cutting knife 5 in front of him, whereby its cutting edge cuts off the yarn 1 on the pressure surface 8. At the same time, the clamping slide 6 is carried along by the compression spring 9, whereby its clamping surface presses the yarn 1 or its part tapering towards the cutting point against the pressure surface 8. One of the arms of the spring 12 is tensioned by this movement.
If the armature 14 falls from the electromagnet 15, the tensioned spring arm of the spring 12 causes the clamping slide 6 together with the cutting knife 5 to slide back into the starting position according to FIG. 1. Simultaneously with the fall of the armature 14, the compression spring 9 causes the from the thickness of the clamped or cut yarn resulting displacement between cutting knife 5 and clamping slide 6 compensates again.
The time interval between the stop of the anchor 14 or the cutting and clamping process under the action of a cutting pulse until the armature falls and the clamping effect is canceled can advantageously be determined by opening an external contact 18 located in the circuit of the electromagnet 15 will. Certain advantages are also obtained by when the electromagnet 15 after the cutting pulse starts to sound, the armature 14 only releases after a given, delayed fall time and thus allows the clamping slide 6 to return to its rest position. The fall time of the armature 14 can be set by measures known per se.
