Dank die ser zusätzlichen Wirkung können sie auch zusammen mit den Weisstönern der schweizerischen Patentschrift Num mer 433 006 verwendet werden;
butylphenyl)- benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3'-tert.-butyl-5'-methylp'henyl)- benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-4',5'-dimethylphe.nyl)- 1,2,3 benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl)-5-methyl- benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3',5'-dimethylphenyl)-5-methyl- benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-3'-methyl-5'-t:

-5-sulfonsäure- di:methylamid-benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl)-5-methylsulfonyl- benztriazot 2-(2'-Hydroxy 5'-methylphenyl)-5 be:
nzoylamino- benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-methoxyphenyl) benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-äthoxyphenyl)-benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydtoxy-4'-t3-hydroxyäthoxy-phenyl)- benztriazo'f, 2-(2'-Hydroxy 5'-chlorphenyl)-benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-methysphenyl)-5-carbä'thoxy benztriazol, 2-(2'-Hydroxy-5'-t.-butylphenyl)-5-methylsulfony14 benztriazol,
so erhält man ähnliche Ergebnisse.
EMI0002.0136
Process for the production of diazotype print films Swiss patent specification No. 433 006 describes a process for the production of diazo type print films for photographic purposes, which is characterized in that a film of cellulose acetate is superficially applied Hydrate pulp saponified,
on the hydrate cillulose a substantive anionic, green-blue, blue bis.
violet fluorescent whitener and then impregnated with a solution of an optionally stabilized, light-sensitive, cationic aryldiazonium compound and dried.
With these copy films, after exposure under the original and coupling with a phenolic coupling component in use, colored diazo type copies which are stable and reproduce halftones of the original are obtained.
In the further processing of this process it has now been found that the fluorescent white tones which flatten the steep gradation of the diazotype material in the desired sense and make half-tone copies possible, also through non-fluorescent,
can replace the UV-absorbing light stabilizer for polymeric plastics, preferably using compounds with an affinity for hydrate cellulose.
These substances not only influence the gradation in the desired sense of flattening, but also counteract the yellowing of the diazotype prints.
Thanks to this additional effect, they can also be used together with the white speakers in Swiss patent specification number 433 006;
Films equipped with blue fluorescent and non-fluorescent UV absorbers provide diazo type film copies whose fund is favorably influenced by fluorescent light and their stability in use is favorably influenced by the lichisectic agent.
The subject of the present application is therefore a process for the production of diazo type copier films, characterized in that on a surface saponified cellulose acetate film in UV light,
A stable light stabilizer for plastics and a cationic, light-sensitive aryldiazonium compound can be absorbed and the film dries.
As permanent UV-absorbing light stabilizers, the compounds commonly used in the plastics industry and similar compounds from the classes of 2-hydroxyphenyl benzotriazoles, 2-hydroxyphenyl aryl ketones, 2-hydroxyphenyl triazines and 2- Hydroxyxarnhene in question,
which, thanks to their hydroxyl function, are soluble in the aqueous-caustic saponification liquor and are drawn onto the hydrate-collulose layer from aqueous-alkaline or from organic aqueous or purely organic solution,
2-Hydroxyphenylbenzotriazoles are characterized by good stability and sufficient substantivity.
All other procedural measures can correspond to those of the Swiss patent specification No. 433 006; in particular, the classes of blue to violet fluorescent white grains defined in more detail in this patent specification can also be used in the present process.
The diazotype copy films according to the invention are distinguished by an acceptable reproduction of half-tones of the original and by good durability, in particular by improved durability.
Further details are contained in the following examples which illustrate the practice of the invention. In these, the parts are parts by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
<I> Example 1 </I> A cellulose-2i / 2-acetate film with a content of 52% saponifiable acetic acid (based on the weight of the cellulose acetate) is superficially saponified for 4 minutes at 65 with a solution which in liter of water 17 g 100% sodium hydroxide, 2 g lauryl alcohol sulphate and 2.5 g of the compound:
EMI0001.0201
contains. The film is then rinsed with cold softened water, treated at 35 for 2 minutes with a solution of 5 ml / 1 formic acid, rinsed again and dried in a stream of hot air from 60 to 70.
The film then passes in a darkened room with yellow light, an application device in which a diazonium salt solution, consisting of. 50 g nitroso-free zinc chloride double salt of 4-diazo-2-ethoxy-diphenylamine, 25 g hiourea, 5 g stearyl polyglycol ether (with 20 ethyleneoxy groups) and 5 g acetic acid per liter of water, by means of a rubber roller immersed in this solution on one side is applied to the film.
The film is immediately dried with air from 30 ° and packaged in the dark.
This film is well suited for copying positive cinema films in a conventional copying machine with a mercury vapor or xenon lamp.
After exposure, the film is continuously developed for 5 seconds at 90, in a solution that contains 20 g of prim per liter of water. Potassium phosphate 20 g sodium formate 3 g phloroglucinol 1.2 g resorcinol 0.75 g betanaphthol, pre-dissolved in 10 ml ethanol contains 5 g sodium hydroxide 100 l.
The film treated with the coupler is then rinsed cold and dried.
Positive copies with well-graded halftones and a maximum black density of 2.3 are obtained. If one uses in this example the same amount of 2- (2'-hydroxy-3 ', 5'-dimethyl-phenyl) -benztriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-3'-methyl-5' -tert:
butylphenyl) - benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-3'-tert.-butyl-5'-methylp'henyl) - benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-4 ', 5'-dimethylphe.nyl) - 1,2,3 benztriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl) -5-methyl-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-3 ', 5'-dimethylphenyl) -5-methyl-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-Hydroxy-3'-methyl-5'-t:
amylphenyl) -5-methyl-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-3'-tert.-amyl-5'-methylphenyl) -5-meth: yl-benztriazo1, 2- (2'-hydroxy-4 ', 5'-dimethy, Iphenyl) -5-meth.yl-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl) -5-ch dorbenzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'- methylphenyl) -5-fluoro-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methy.1phcnyl) -5-trifluoromethyl-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methylph @ enyl)
-5-sulfonic acid- di: methylamide-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl) -5-methylsulfonyl- benztriazot 2- (2'-hydroxy 5'-methylphenyl) -5 be:
nzoylamino-benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methoxyphenyl) benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-ethoxyphenyl) -benztriazole, 2- (2'-hydoxy-4'-t3-hydroxyethoxy- phenyl) - benztriazo'f, 2- (2'-hydroxy 5'-chlorophenyl) -benztriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy-5'-methysphenyl) -5-carba'thoxy benzotriazole, 2- (2'-hydroxy -5'-t.-butylphenyl) -5-methylsulfony14 benztriazole,
similar results are obtained. <I> Example 2 </I> A cellul'ose-21/2-acetate film is pulled through a saponification liquor in a continuous system, which has the same composition as that of Example 1, but in addition to 2.5 parts 2 - (2'-Hydroxy-5'-methyl, Iphenyl)
-benztriazdle an additional 1.5 g of the whitener of the formula
EMI0002.0112
contains. The film is then finished in exactly the same way as described in Example 1. A diazo print film having similar properties is obtained. Instead of the 2- (2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzotriazole compound used herein,
you can use another of the compounds listed in Example 1.
<I> Example 3 </I> A cellulose acetate is continuously saponified at 70 in a solution of the composition described in Example 1, which, however, contains 2 g of the following compound instead of the benzotriazof compound
EMI0002.0136
contains.
When the film emerges from the saponification bath, it is squeezed off and passed through a second trough without rinsing, which contains a 50% warm solution of 20 ml / 1 formic acid.
The film is then rinsed thoroughly with cold water, dried and, as in Example 1, provided with a light-sensitive diazoniuan compound. A D'iazotype copy film is obtained, which reproduces the halftones of the previous days satisfactorily when lighting and domeing.
If. In this example the 4-methoxy-2-hydroxybenzophenone is replaced by the corresponding amount of 2-hydroxybenzophenone or 4-ethoxy-2-hydroxybenzophenone, similar results are obtained.
