Device for scattering insulating materials
Devices for scattering insulating materials are already known in which asbestos or other fibrous materials, or materials suitable for the formation of granular coatings, are fed to the machine and the machine loosely, with the help of the through, for the production of heat insulation, sound absorber layers or protective coatings against fire The air flow generated by its fan blows onto the surface to be coated via a flexible pipe.
In the blown jet, the coating is wetted with an atomized binding agent or, if the coating was already mixed with binding agent, the binding agent is activated. It is z. B. to the asbestos mixed with cement in a corresponding ratio in the blow jet water is atomized.
The known devices for scattering insulating materials have the disadvantage that they tend to clump the substance, such. B. process the slightly damp or compressed asbestos either not at all or not with sufficient evenness. However, the uneven supply affects the quality of the material being spread, the productivity of the work and thus the profitability of the same.
The purpose of the invention is to create a device for scattering insulating materials, in which the above disadvantages are eliminated and which enables higher operational reliability and simpler handling than with the known designs. For this purpose, according to the invention, the bottom of the container for the material to be spread is formed by part of the surface of a rotating solid body covered with card teeth, this body conveying the insulating material out of said container in connection with a rotating body also covered with teeth stands, and these two components are located in a common, downwardly tapering space, at the lowest part of which is the suction nozzle of a fan causing the scattering out.
Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawings serves to explain the task position. It illustrates the basic structure of the commonly used insulating material spreading devices.
An endless material conveyor belt 3 is stretched between rollers 1 and 2. On this inclined card teeth are provided in the position shown in the figure. The belt 3 forms the bottom of a feed hopper 4, in which the material of the material A desired to be sprinkled, e.g. B. asbestos, is fed continuously. The card teeth of the belt 3 moved in the direction of arrow a tear a certain amount from the material A with them, which is guided to a roller 5. To ensure the desired amount, the gap between roller 5 and belt 3 can be regulated or adjusted. The rotating roller 5 provided with a metal wire brush or other fiber brush sweeps back the excess amount of substance.
The material to be spread on the card pins or between them is swept out by a wire brush 6 or the like rotating at high speed and driven into the suction nozzle of a fan 7. This blows out the loosened, flaky fabric in the direction of arrow d. A blow hose, not shown in the figure, is connected to the mouth of the blow nozzle of the fan.
The basic structure of the known machines presented above has major disadvantages. Among other things, they claim the constant feeding of substance A, i.e. interrupted activity and constant attention. If a smaller than optimal amount of substance A is fed in, then the performance is reduced, whereas when an all too large amount of substance is fed in, the roller 5 is no longer able to sweep the substance back in the direction of arrow b, but becomes the same and further amounts of substance in in the direction of arrow c and thereby cause significant unevenness of the supply, and even blockages of the blowpipe or the fan. Similar phenomena occur in the case of sticky or knotty fabrics or fabrics that tend to knot; so z.
B. in the promotion of slightly damp or compressed asbestos a knot formation occur.
The material A scattered by the belt 3 under the roller 2 or on the inner surface of the belt 3 also frequently causes malfunctions. So z. B. the asbestos adhering to the surface of the roller 2 increase the diameter of the same such that the roller excessively tensioned the belt 3 and thereby damage it or the drive device caused, whereby the insulating material spreader is inoperable.
Fig. 2 of the drawing shows the basic structure of an embodiment of the device according to the invention. In the figure, 1 denotes a roller rotating at the necessary speed, on the jacket of which crooked carding teeth are provided. The roller 1 forms the bottom or part of the bottom of a material container 2. In this, the material to be scattered A, z. B. Asbestos introduced. The gap between the edge of an adjustable plate (slide) 3 and the jacket of the roller 1 can be adjusted depending on the desired amount or type of material A to be spread.
The material located between or on the carding teeth of the roller 1 is swept out in the evenly thick layer of material secured by the position of the plate 3 by means of a cylindrical steel wire brush 4 rotating at high speed and driven in a loosened, flaky state into the suction nozzle of a fan 5. The role of the fan 5 and the use of the blow hose connected to it is identical to that according to FIG.
The angle a of the adjustable plate 3 enclosed with the tangent of the roller 1 is of great importance. Depending on whether there is an acute or obtuse angle, the plate 3 will press the substance A against the surface of the roller 1 or lift it off. Tests have shown that the angle a can be changed between 60-120, but should be chosen between 80-100.
The device described enables a mobile device for scattering insulating material of the usual dimensions instead of the usual amount of asbestos of 4-5 kg to be fed in at once 20-30 kg and then processed evenly, so that the machine can be operated by a single person can be operated. The penetration of asbestos knots or another undesired amount of substance into the fan and through this into the scattered beam of the device is excluded with the invention. In the same way, the arrangement of the fan and the design of the suction nozzle exclude the possibility of litter collecting in any corner of the machine and thus requiring more intensive maintenance or causing operational disruptions.
This advantage is achieved in that the roller 1 forming the bottom of the container 2 is located in its entire circumference in one and the same space with the roller 4 and the suction nozzle of the fan 5 is located below these parts 1 and 4.
Another advantage of the device is that the machine is cheap, among other things because a roller 1 can be manufactured much more easily than an endless belt of the known devices.
It also happens relatively often that a piece of wire or some other hard object destroys the card teeth. In such cases, a new roller 1 can be used extremely easily and simply in the machine according to the perception, without specialist knowledge and without tools.
