Fig. 2 zeigt den Siloauslauf von unten,
Method and device for discharging bulk goods from containers
The invention relates to a method for discharging bulk goods from containers, in particular bulk goods which tend to form bridges in the container, and a device for carrying out this method.
The bulk goods can be powdery, dusty or granular; it can also consist of chips, hygroscopic, electrostatically chargeable materials and sticky masses such as PVC powder. If such bulk goods are to be discharged from containers, which can also happen under overpressure, the good particles form a curved bridge between the container walls, so that only a small part of the goods emerges from the container, while the part of the goods supported by the bridge is immobile in the Container gets stuck. The containers can be designed with a vertical, inclined or horizontal axis, and the outlet openings can be arranged at the lower end or on the side of the container.
In order to avoid the formation of bridges and thereby enable the bulk material to be discharged, it is known to loosen up the material by supplying gases, ie to fluidize it and thereby make it flowable. However, this procedure was only successful for a few types of goods. In these cases, the bulk weight of the material emerging from the container is reduced as a result of the admixture of gas. With various types of goods, this results in difficulties in that the gas only escapes very slowly from the goods.
This either leads to considerable waiting times or, if you do not want to adhere to this, to the fact that z. B. bags to be filled cannot be completely filled with goods. As a result of the swirling of the material, the individual particles can also be mechanically damaged.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that a layered gas flow is created on the inside of the container wall in order to discharge the material.
This flowing gas layer can lift the material off the container wall and prevent the formation of bridges. The layered gas flow can take place in such a way that it does not cause any mechanical movement or turbulence of the material, so that the material is not loosened and the shape of the individual material is not changed and in particular the bulk density of the material is not reduced. This means that filling and packaging of the goods can be simplified and made cheaper. There are no waiting times to set down the goods.
It can also air and gas sensitive products such. B. plastic powder, ground carbide, starches, dextrose or flour, can be safely discharged.
Kinds of goods that cannot be treated by loosening them with air because they are negatively influenced by the oxygen in the air can still be discharged with air, as the air only comes into contact with a small part of the material.
The gas consumption can be greatly reduced compared to discharge with loosening of the material. Discharging goods under excess pressure from the container can also be facilitated, since the goods are no longer pressed against the container wall. It is no longer possible to stick the goods to be discharged to the container wall. The risk of so-called chimneys forming in the property is thus eliminated.
The gas flow preferably has a component running in the circumferential direction of the container.
It can thus the flow z. T. run transversely to the discharge direction, so that discharge is facilitated by a uniform lifting or twisting of the material from the inside of the container wall.
The layered gas flow on the inside of the container wall can be generated continuously during discharge. In the case of some substances, however, in order to detach the good particles from the wall it can be advantageous that the gas is supplied intermittently. This also results in gas savings at the same time.
The gas can also be supplied alternately from several inlet openings according to a preselected time program. This allows the good z. B. be removed in layers from the container wall, and there is a further gas saving.
To carry out the method according to the invention, a device is provided in which at least one gas inlet opening fed by a gas supply is provided on the inside of the container wall, the inlet direction of which runs at least approximately along the wall. The gas inlet opening can be an opening in the container wall; however, it can also be formed by a recess in the wall extending along the container wall or by a flat pocket located on the inside of the container wall.
In a preferred exemplary embodiment of the device, there are several gas inlet openings, the inlet directions of which run in the same direction of rotation in order to generate a gas flow circulating around the discharge axis. Thus, the partial gas flows entering through the individual openings support each other in their effect.
To maintain a uniform gas layer on the inside of the container wall, there can be a common regulation of the gas supply for all gas inlet openings. However, if there are different operating conditions at different points on the container wall, e.g. B. different pressure, different temperature, an individual regulation of the gas supply is advantageous, which can be made possible that the gas supply pipes leading to the gas inlet openings are each provided with an adjustable throttle device.
An embodiment of the method according to the invention is described below with reference to the embodiments of the device according to the invention shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of a part of a silo with a conical outlet,
Fig. 2 shows the silo outlet from below,
3-6 illustrate, in section, various options for generating a layered gas flow on the inside of container walls.
The vertically standing silo container 1 has the outlet cone 3 with the outlet opening 5 at its lower end. The outlet opening 5 can be opened and closed by a shut-off device (not shown).
On the outside of the conical outlet cone 3, a plurality of tangentially directed gas supply pipes 7 are arranged, which are connected to the inside of the wall 11 of the outlet 3 through inlet openings 9 (FIG. 3). The gas supply pipes 7 each have a valve 13. The valve shuts off when the pressure on the inner wall of the cone is greater than in the gas supply pipe 7 and opens when the pressure conditions are reversed. The flow rate of the valve can also be adjusted.
The gas inlets are arranged on an imaginary curve similar to a helical line, as can be seen well from FIGS. 1 and 2.
When the bulk goods stored in the container 1 are to be discharged from the silo through the outlet opening 5, gas is passed through the pipes 7 into the outlet 3. The gas forms a thin closed layer which flows along the inside of the wall 11. As a result of this gas flow, the bulk material stored in the container 1 and in the outlet 3 is lifted or sheared off the inside of the wall 11 so that it can exit through the outlet opening 5.
In general, it is sufficient to arrange gas inlets only on the outlet cone 3. In special cases, however, gas feeds can also be arranged on the cylindrical inner wall of the container 1. These too would preferably be arranged along a helical line.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the gas supply pipes 7 are arranged horizontally so that the gas flow runs essentially in the circumferential direction of the conical outlet 3. The gas supply pipes 7 and the inlet openings 9 are arranged in the same direction of rotation, so that on the inside of the wall 11 there is a gas flow circulating around the silo axis.
Instead of the round cross-section according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the container 1 and the outlet 3 of the silo can also have a different, for example rectangular, cross-section.
There are various options for forming the gas inlet openings on the inside of the container wall. Some of these are shown in Figures 3-6.
According to FIG. 3, the gas supply pipe 7 is attached tangentially to the container wall 11. The gas flows through the gas inlet opening 9 approximately parallel to the wall 11 into the container.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the gas supply pipe 7 is passed through the wall 11 and bent on the inside such that the inlet direction runs parallel to the wall 11.
In Fig. 5, a gas supply for an angular container is shown. On the inside of the corner formed by the two walls 15 and 17, a recess 19 is provided in the wall 15 which extends along the wall 15. At one end, the recess 19 is connected to a gas supply line, not shown. The outlet opening of the recess 19 lies parallel to the wall 15 and perpendicular to the wall 17, so that a gas flow along the wall 17 results.
According to FIG. 6, a tube 23 with an approximately triangular cross section is arranged on the inside of a container wall 21. The pipe is fed with gas at one end. It has one or more gas inlet openings 25 which are approximately perpendicular to the container wall 21 and from which the gas exits approximately parallel to the wall 21.
The supplied gas escapes at the upper end of the container through its filling opening, which can be closed with a filter bag.
