converts, and that reaction product sulfonated.
The reaction of a compound (III) with a compound of the formula (1I) is advantageously carried out in an organic medium;
wherein the base of a compound of the formula (III) with a compound of the formula (II), or the leukodemIvate of a compound of the formula (II), or with a mixture of compounds of the formula. (1I)
and their leuco derivatives are reacted. The reaction products obtained by this process are then sulfonated, e.g.
B. in oleum, or with concentrated sulfuric acid of 80-100%, preferably 92-100 0/0. Or with chlorosulfonic acid.
Examples of organic media are: higher molecular weight alcohols such as butyl alcohol, isobutyl alcohol, amyl alcohol, octyl alcohol, do @ decyl alcohol, etc. nitrobenzene, chlorobenzene, etc.
or mixtures of such solvents, the reaction at temperatures of 80-140 C, preferably at temperatures of 100-130 C can be carried out.
In most cases, the reaction product obtained is obtained in the leuco form and must therefore be oxidized for the purpose of transferring it to the final dye. This oxidation can also be carried out in the above solvents, at temperatures of 100-180 C, preferably 130-170 C,
for this purpose, air can be introduced into the organic medium; one uses nitrobenzene as. Solvent, the introduction of air is not necessary.
The new dyes are used to dye, pad and print fibers of animal origin, e.g. B. wool, silk, synthetic polyamide fibers and leather, also of gealulose fibers, z. B. cotton, linen and regenerated cellulose fibers, e.g. B.
Viscose rayon, copper rayon, rayon, of mixtures and / or structures made of these fibers and of polyester fibers. When dyeing, padding and printing one can use the commonly used wetting, leveling, thickening or other textile or leather auxiliaries,
while the heat treatment is advantageously carried out in the presence of alkalis.
They have a good build-up capacity on the specified substrates and are excellent in leveling. The dyes according to the invention can be obtained from acidic, neutral, but also from an alkaline medium at temperatures of 70-100 C,
dyeing preferably at boiling temperature The dyeings and prints obtained are of excellent brilliance and have very good lightfastness and wet fastness properties, such as washing, fulling, water, sea water, perspiration,
Sodak.fastness as well as good rub and dry cleaning fastness.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 A compound of the formula (III) can be prepared as follows: 128 parts of cyclohexanone are added dropwise at room temperature to a mixture of 51 parts of sodium amide and 405 parts of benzene, and the mixture is mixed with 111 parts of 2, 4,6-trimethylbenzyl chloride added.
The mixture is stirred for one hour at room temperature and then boiled for 11/2 hours at the boiling temperature. After the reaction solution has cooled, it is poured onto what water and the reaction product is worked up in the usual way. The 2 (2 ', 4', 6 'trimethyllbbenzyl) cyclohexanone boils at 168-171' (5 torr.).
115 parts of 2 (2 ', 4', 6 'trimethylbenzyl) cyclohexanone are made to react with the aid of 5 parts of Raney nickel with 13 parts of ammonia, dissolved in 175 parts of ethanol,
working in a stirred autoclave for 8 hours at 70 atmospheres and with the introduction of hydrogen at 10 atmospheres. After the Raney nickel has been removed and the ethanol is distilled, the 2 (2 ', 4', 6 'trimethylbenzyl) cyclohexanone is fractionally distilled at 154-155 (3 Torr.).
The 2 (2 ', 4', 6 'trimethylbenzyl) cyclohexylamine can also be obtained by converting the 2 (2', 4 ', 6'-trimethylbenzyl) cyclohexanone in an ethanolic solution with hydroxylamine chlorohydrate into the corresponding oxime and this then, also in an ethanolic solution, reduced to the free amine.
To prepare the actual dye, 50 parts of leukquinizarin and 140 parts of 2 (2 ', 4', 6'-trimethylbenzyl) cyclohexylamine in 50 parts of isobutanol are heated at 102 for 5 hours and:
the product obtained is oxidized at 130 with a stream of air. The resulting base is precipitated by adding ethanol.
10 parts of the base thus obtained are sulfonated in 40 parts of Schw efelsäuremonohy Brat at room temperature. Then you pour the mass on ice,
filtered and washed neutral with a 10% sodium chloride solution. Main. receives a blue powder, the wool in greenish blue, very brilliant tones and with very good light and very good,
Dyes wet fastness.
Dyeing instructions A dyebath consisting of 10,000 parts of water, 2 parts of the dye of Example 1, 10 parts of Glaubersailz and 2 parts of glacial acetic acid,
100 parts of wool are added at a temperature of 4045. The bath is heated to boiling within 30 minutes and left RTI ID = "0002.0242" WI = "5" HE = "4" LX = "1417" LY = "990"> the bath for a further 30 minutes at boiling temperature. After this time, another 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added to the dye bath
and the coloration ends after a further 30 minutes of cooking. The woolen cloth removed is rinsed and dried.
It is colored in: a very brilliant greenish blue shade. And has very good wash fastness as well as very good acid and alkaline flexing fastness;
The other Nassechth @ cites, such as water, sea water, perspiration and rubbing fastness are also excellent.
Example 2 50 parts of leucoquinizarin and 135 parts of 2 (2 ', 4'-dimethylblenzyl) cyc, lohexylamine [produced by the reductive amination of 2 (2', 4'-dimethylbenzyl)
cyclohexanone] in 50 parts of isobutanol are heated at 102 for 5 hours. After oxidation in a stream of air at 130, the base is precipitated with alcohol and isolated.
The 1,4-bis [2 (2 ', 4' dimethylbenzyl) cyclohexylamino] -anthraquinone is sulfonated in sulfuric acid monohydrate according to the information in Example 1. The dye obtained in this way dyes wool in brilliant greenish blue tones with very good lightfastness and
very good wet fastness properties.
Example 3 50 parts of leucoquinizanine and 130 parts of 2 (4'-methylbenzyl) cyclohexyliamine in 50 parts of isobutanol are heated at 102 for 5 hours. Then 30 parts of nitrobenzene are added to the reaction medium and the mixture is heated to 150.
The isiobutyl alcohol is distilled off through this process. The base obtained in this way is precipitated with ethanol and isolated.
The 1,4-bis [2 (4'-methylbenzyl) cyclohexylamino] anthraquinone is entered in 960% sulfuric acid and:
sulfonated. The dye obtained is worked up analogously to Example 1. It dyes wool in brilliant green-tinged blue tones with very good lightfastness and. very good wet fastness properties.
Example 4 10 parts of Leuk o-6,7-diehlordhinizarin and 24 parts of 2 (2 ', 4'-dimethylbenzyl) cyclohexylamine are heated in 100 parts of isobutanol at 100 for 13 hours.
After oxidation in a stream of air at 130, the 6,7-dichloro-1,4-bis [2 (2 ', 4'-idimethylbenzyl) cyclohexylamino] -anthxachinon is.oliert, then sulfonated in sulfur fringed monohydrate and according to the Example 1 worked up.
The dye thus obtained dyes wool in brilliant greenish blue shades of very good generalities.
Example 5 8 parts of leuco-1,4,5,8-tetrahydroxy-amthraquinone and 24 parts of 2 (4 'methylbenzyl) cyclohexylamine are heated in 100 parts of isobutanol at 102 for 48 hours. The leuco form of the product obtained is oxidized in nitrobenzene at 150 and the 5,
8-Dihydroxy-1,4-ibs [2 (4 '@ Mathylbenzyl) cyclohexyliamino] -anthraquinone isolated and this sulfonated in saffronic acid monohydrate. The dye thus obtained dyes wool in brilliant green-blue shades with very good lightfastness and very good wet solids.
Other valuable anthraquinone dyes, which according to the information. of Examples 1 to 5 who can be prepared are described in the following table.
