Description
Impact device With today's impact devices, the impact energy is transferred to the tool from a piston accelerated by compressed air. This not only causes a lot of noise between the piston and the tool, as steel is struck, but also a certain loss of impact energy because the tool to be struck must first be accelerated.
The present invention now enables both adverse factors to be eliminated by using the tool e.g. a chisel and the percussion piston consist of a single piece or are rigidly connected to one another. This means there is no intermediate blow and therefore no noise. In addition, the tool has the same speed as the piston at the highest impact speed. So the entire impact energy can be converted into useful work on the mass to be impacted.
