Magnetic clamping device for magnetizable foils, in particular for plastic clichés with a magnetizable coating. It is known to hold magnetizable foils by clamping on a permanent magnetic clamping plate. Such clamping plates have the disadvantage that it is difficult to remove the film from the clamping plate undamaged against the constantly acting adhesive force.
There are also permanent magnetic clamping plates known that include a pole plate and a magnetic carrier plate that can be displaced or rotated with respect to this, and both of which the adhesive force can be switched off by moving or rotating the magnetic carrier plate in relation to the pole plate; However, such clamping devices are expensive, especially if they have a large clamping surface, as is required for holding larger films.
There are also known electromagnetic clamping devices in which an excitation winding is embedded in open grooves of a soft iron plate. In such known clamping devices, the grooves of the soft iron plate are covered by a special pole plate whose side facing away from the soft iron plate forms the clamping surface.
The pole plate is divided into several poles by strips of non-magnetizable material that are opposite the grooves in the soft iron plate and transfers the magnetic flux to the workpiece to be clamped in accordance with the pole pitch.
Such electromagnetic clamping devices are used for clamping massive workpieces made of magnetizable material and have a pole pitch that ensures that the workpiece is in contact with at least one north pole and one south pole. Because of the considerable magnetically conductive cross-section of the workpiece, it is sufficient if the magnetic flux is transmitted to the workpiece through a small number of pole pairs.
Therefore, the cross section of the individual poles and accordingly the pitch in known electro-magnetic clamping devices is relatively large.
If thin magnetizable foils, for example plastic clichés with a magnetizable coating, are to be clamped on electromagnetic clamping plates, requirements must be placed on the clamping plates which known electromagnetic clamping plates do not meet. Because of their small thickness, such films are not mechanically strong; therefore they must be secured against displacement over their entire surface as far as possible.
This can only be achieved with a very narrow pole pitch, as it is: with electromagnetic clamping plates of known design, it can only be produced at great expense.
The object of the invention is to create an inexpensive magnetic clamping fixture which is suitable for clamping magnetizable foils and which guarantees that the foil can be removed from the clamping surface undamaged after clamping.
The tensioning device according to the invention is characterized by a soft iron plate, the surface of which forming the tensioning surface is subdivided into a multitude of narrow terminal strips running parallel at a short distance, in the interstices of which an electrical excitation winding consisting of one or a few turns is embedded in insulating material.
This device can therefore have a very small Poltei development and a correspondingly small cross section of the individual poles. It can therefore be produced cheaply, which is due to its simple structure, namely the omission of a pole plate and, in particular, the low cost of the field winding.
Since the cross-section of the flux-guiding iron strips of the clamping plate is a multiple of the magnetizable film cross-section, the magnetic circuit on the clamping surface experiences a sudden decrease in cross-section and thus a corresponding sudden increase in magnetic induction.
Therefore, the magnetizable cross-section of the film to be tensioned can reach its saturation magnetization and thus its maximum adhesive force even with very little excitation.
In order to achieve a more favorable transfer of the magnetic flux from the terminal strips to the film, the upper side of each terminal strip, which forms the clamping surface, is reduced in width according to a further development of the invention by a roof-shaped bevel.
A particularly cheap clamping device is obtained if, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the gaps are milled into the magnetic plate and the strips of the magnetic plate that remain between the grooves form the pin strips.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to schematic drawings of an exemplary embodiment: Fig. 1 shows an only partially drawn cross section through a tensioning device according to the invention with a tensioned metal foil and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the tensioning device. The clamping device comprises a rectangular soft iron plate 1 with milled in at small intervals,
narrow longitudinal grooves 2, which are connected in .der near the narrow sides of the plate by a transverse groove not illustrated presented. The strips of the soft iron plate 1 that remained between the grooves 2 form pole strips 3.
The grooves 2 are lined with electrically insulating slot boxes 4 in which an exciter winding 5 is located. In the example shown here, the excitation winding 5 comprises only one copper wire winding which runs through the slots (2) in the manner of a serpentine line, so that adjacent bars are magnetized in opposite directions, i.e. H. alternate north and south poles.
The remaining volume of the grooves 2 is filled with casting resin.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, a aufzuspan Nende film 6 is directly on the top of the Pollei 3 most. For foils whose magnetizable layer is about 0.3 to 0.4 mm thick, a width of the terminal strips of 2 to 3 mm has proven itself.
Dashed lines 7 indicate how the terminal strips 3 can be beveled to improve the adhesive force. In this case, the volume of the grooves 2 that is added by the bevel is also filled with casting resin.
