Method and device for tying the chains on the loom The subject of the invention is a method for tying chains on a loom with uninterrupted loom operation, in which the end of the old chain, the remainder of which is stored in a storage device that resiliently holds the same in loop form, manually or is tied mechanically to the beginning of the new chain, and a device for carrying out this method with a braked tree of rough surface, which is arranged in the section between the warp beam and backrest.
The linking of the chains to the loom has so far been done in such a way that after the old chain has been weaved, the chair is stopped, the empty warp beam is removed and the full warp beam is inserted, whereupon the ends of the old chain are attached to the thread ends manually or by means of a mechanical device linked to the new chain. This method has the disadvantage that, according to experience, the chair has to be put out of operation for 2 to 4 hours during manipulation with the warp beams and during tying.
The method for tying the warp threads on the loom with an uninterrupted weaving process, as well as a device for performing the same, are known. This procedure is due to a special preparation of the warp beam. A certain length of thread of around 20 meters is unwound from the bobbins placed in front of them and wound onto an auxiliary tree. The individual warp threads are then clamped in a groove running along the warp beam core by means of a locking bar.
After this operation, the warp beam is set in motion, with the warp threads from the auxiliary tree on the one hand, and the warp threads coming from the bobbins on the other hand being wound up on its core. After the above-mentioned warp thread reserve has been unwound from the auxiliary beam, the warp threads are still only wound onto the warp beam from the bobbins.
The warp beam wound in this way is then inserted in the usual way and the warp threads are drawn into harness. Then the weaving process can be continued. After only the warp thread length of about 40 meters has remained on the warp beam, the thread reserve of 20 meters also begins to be unwound, the end of which is drawn into a storage device. During the further weaving process, the double warp is unwound from the warp beam, one part of which is inserted into the harness, while the other is accumulated in the storage device in the form of a loop.
The end of the old (woven) warp, the reserve of which is accumulated in the storage device, is tied to the beginning of the warp threads of the full warp beam, which warp beam was prepared in the same way as the woven warp beam.
The corresponding constant tension of the old chain in the storage device is ensured by the braking device.
After the chain has been unwound from the old warp beam, it is necessary to release it by removing the locking bar from the core groove. The thread length that is let off in this way is immediately compensated with the aid of a weight.
Before weaving out the warp thread reserve, it is necessary to stop the loom, replace the warp beam with a full one, wind the warp thread length backwards onto the full warp beam and set the correct warp thread tension. The loom is only ready for use after these operations.
The method described requires winding a certain length of thread onto the auxiliary beam, then clamping the chain onto the beam core and finally winding the chain onto the beam. During this winding of the chain onto the warp beam, there is an undesirable fluctuation in the warp thread tension in the section of the double winding.
Before weaving out the old warp beam, it is also necessary to stop the loom, remove the bartack and set the appropriate warp thread tension.
If the accumulated warp thread reserve is further exhausted, it is necessary to stop the loom again, take out the old warp beam, replace it with a full one, wind the deflated warp backwards onto the full warp beam, set the correct warp thread tension and start the loom again put.
The storage device has to be provided with a relatively complicated braking mechanism so that it places great demands on the working space, which is very disadvantageous from the standpoint of the relatively small space in the machine avenue intended for manipulation and operational traffic.
In view of the disadvantages mentioned, the latter method is not used in practice. The disadvantages mentioned are supposed to be achieved by the method according to the invention for tying chains on the loom with uninterrupted loom operation, in which the end of the old chain, the rest of which is stored in a storage device which is resiliently held in loop form, is manually or mechanically at the beginning of the new one Chain is tied up, what is achieved by
that the remainder of the chain braked in the section between the warp beam and backrest which has been unwound from the old warp beam is drawn into the storage device.
The braking device arranged between the warp beam and backrest beam is known per se from a braked tree with a rough surface. In these known devices the warp beam is easily rotatable and the beam with a rough surface is driven with a constant, correspondingly large force, e.g. force derived from a spring brake. The chain removed from the warp beam is looped around the braked beam with the largest possible looping angle.
To achieve a maximum looping angle, a rotatably mounted guide roller is used, while the actual braking effect is exerted by the braked tree with a rough surface. The lashing angle can be varied either by changing the diameter of the braked tree or by changing the position of the guide roller in relation to the braked tree. However, this device was not used in practice, since it could not reliably ensure a constant, even braking of the chain during the weaving.
So that this device, known per se, for braking the warp threads can be used on conventional looms, the warp has to be unwound from the warp beam under a certain tension, since otherwise the warp threads will not lie tightly against the braked tree, occur with uneven warp beam winding, etc. the attitude of the goods would also change.
To carry out the method according to the invention, a device according to the invention was created by means of which the stated disadvantage is eliminated. The device with a braked beam with a rough surface, which is arranged between the warp beam and backrest, is provided according to the invention with at least one pressure roller which cooperates with the braked beam.
The advantage of this invention is that it enables the chain to be tied with maximum use of the loom. The device is simple and can be used in all web chair types at low cost.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. In the side walls 1 of a loom, the warp beam 2 is mounted so that it can rotate easily. The camps themselves are not shown. The braked beam 4 is located between the warp beam 2 and the backrest beam 3. A constant braking force of a corresponding magnitude acts on the beam 4, e.g. is caused by a band brake, not shown.
The braked tree 4 interacts with two pressure rollers 5, 6 which are arranged on its circumference in such a way that the largest possible loop angle of the chain 7 is achieved. The pressure rollers 5, 6 become the braked tree 4 by means of springs (not shown), weights or a lever linkage and the like. pressed on. The pressure must be strong enough to prevent the warp threads from slipping. For the same reason, the braked tree 4 and the pressure rollers 5, 6 must also be provided with a rough surface which has a sufficiently high coefficient of friction.
In the exemplary embodiment, two pressure rollers 5, 6 are used. However, the device can also be designed in such a way that the second roller is not pressed in the running direction of the chain 7 by one of the usual devices, but that this is done by the warp tension itself when the roller is in the appropriate position.
A storage device 8 is used to tie the chain to the loom, which keeps the chain remnant in a flexible loop shape and which comprises a movable lower part 9. The storage device 8 has a support plate 10, which is provided in its upper part with a series of guide rollers 11 which are rotatably mounted on the support plate 10.
Between the guide rollers 11 there are vertically arranged guide grooves 12 in the support plate 10, in which one end of the tension rods 13 is slidably mounted. In the front entry part of the storage device 8 there are two stable, but pull-out guide rods 14, 15 and in the rear lower part the stable, and likewise pull-out guide rod 16.
During weaving, the chain 7 unwound from the warp beam 2 is guided over the pressure roller 6, loops around the braked beam 4 and runs over the second pressure roller 5 and the backing beam 3 to the weaving plane. The warp 7 is held in constant tension by the braked tree 4 during weaving.
If a new warp is to be placed on the loom, proceed as follows: The rest of the unwoven warp T, about 5 to 8 meters long, is unwound from the old warp beam 2 and into the Storage device 8 introduced.
The actual retraction of the old chain 7 into the storage device 8 takes place in such a way that the chain 7 'is placed on the guide rollers 11 and is progressively weighted by the tension rods 13, which slide by their own weight into the lower part of the support plate 10 and thereby the Convert the total length of the unwound old chain 7 'into a hanging loop. The empty warp beam 2 is then replaced by a full one.
From the full warp beam 2, the thread ends of the new chain 7 ″ are pulled off and drawn into the lower part of the storage device 8 via the guide rod 16. The end of the old chain 7 'and the beginning of the new chain 7 ″ is connected to a non-illustrated attachment device placed where the warp threads are tied manually or automatically while the loom remains in motion. During weaving, the length of the old chain 7 'is shortened and the tensioning rods 13 are gradually pulled into the upper layer over the guide rollers 11.
When the warp reserve is weaved out of the storage device 8, the remaining thread loop is pulled out of the guide rollers 11 and, after pulling out the guide rods 14, 15 and 16, is wound onto the new warp beam 2. The mobile lower part 9 is then removed from the chair.
All manipulations, both removing and inserting the warp beams as well as the actual tying, are carried out while the loom is in motion.
