Chipboard The subject of the invention is a chipboard for insertion in U-shaped profiled, the plate in the elastically compressible edge area pliers-like encompassing components, for the erection of partition walls.
Chipboard, which are used in U-rails to produce partition walls, are known in various designs. It is important that the plate is firmly seated in the U-rails, which requires that the plate thickness corresponds exactly to the clear width of the U-profile.
This can hardly be achieved in particular with coated chipboard, since relatively large tolerances have to be accepted as a result of the shrinkage of the material during manufacture. If. between the plates and .dem profile sealing strips are inserted, a tight fit of the plate is guaranteed, but this means that the components are more expensive and time-consuming work.
It has therefore been proposed that the edges such ger plates that have a greater strength than. have the clear width of the U-profile, before pushing it together, so that they deform elastically ver and expand again in the seat so that they fit snugly against the profile walls.
However, this requires the use of a special elastic or plastic-elastic material and .ausserdem devices that compress the edges before insertion into the U-profile, which is again complex and therefore makes the use of such components more expensive.
Here the invention wants to intervene to help and create a chipboard that can be produced at low cost and is firmly seated in the profile rail after its construction. It achieves this by virtue of the fact that at least one edge of the plate has a slot running in its narrow edge to be pushed into the U-profile.
The edge of the plate is thus elastic and can be compressed and without the use of special devices. be inserted into the U-rail, where after the pressure is finished, the panel edges fit tightly against the inner walls of the profile and thus ensure a tight fit. Because partitions. mostly held by profiles on all sides. are, the slot will preferably be formed circumferentially around the narrow edges of the plate.
This can be done at the construction site itself, so that the panels are cut to the required size and then the slot is milled or sawed.
The invention can be used both with simple chipboard or with chipboard coated on one or both sides, the slot advantageously only being arranged in the chipboard acting as a carrier. Its width may be about a third of the thickness of the carrier plate, but it can also differ from this dimension. The thickness of the chipboard or chipboard with coating is advantageously the same or only slightly greater than the clear width of the U-profile.
In the following, the invention is described in detail with reference to the figures of the drawing, but it is not intended to be restricted to the possibilities of implementation shown. The reference symbols or references to certain drawing figures used in the subsequent claims are only intended to make it easier to find the corresponding parts, but in no way represent a restriction.
FIG. 1 shows a diagram of a coated chipboard with the slot according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows a cross section through this board and FIG. 3 shows a detail of the chipboard inserted into a U-profile.
1 shows the chipboard 1 according to the invention, which has a circumferential slot 3 on its narrow edges 2. During assembly, the edges of this plate 1 are compressed so far that they can be pushed into the U-shaped rail 5, where, as shown in FIG. 3, they lie snugly against the inner wall of the rail 5.
Fig. 2 shows the basic construction of a plate according to the invention in section, it being pointed out that it can of course also be used without a covering 4, which may be made of plastic or the like.
The assembly itself of a plate 1 according to the invention is preferably done in such a way that a frame formed from U-rails remains open on one side, so that the front side of the plate is inserted into the crossbar of the U and the side edges are pushed, with their edges are squeezed together by themselves. If the whole plate 1 is inserted in the frame 5, the cross rail is placed on top of the wind, so that the entire plate 1 is framed.
In practice it has been shown that the chipboard according to the invention can have the tolerances required in terms of production and nevertheless always ensures a firm fit of the built-in chipboard. Its easy-to-do assembly saves time and money and should ensure its widespread use in specialist circles.
