In allen Fällen sollte also die Dekorschicht 3 bzw.
The invention relates to a method for the produc- tion of decorated surfaces of plates as Wandbil, furniture surfaces, table tops, doors o. The like. Which consist of a carrier plate coated with a curable protective layer and the plate obtained in this way.
According to the known method for producing such decorative panels, the decorative layers were glued or glued onto the carrier panels (known for example as Resopal panels) and connected to one another by pressure. With this method, the finished decorative panel therefore consists of three layers: the carrier panel, the glue layer and the decorative layer.
This method has the disadvantage that, due to the influence of the atmosphere, the firm connection of the three layers was not withstood permanently, so that the decorative layer was often detached from the carrier plate over the course of time. In addition, the decorative layer in these known methods is not conserved with regard to their color and not secured against mechanical interventions.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated in that the decorative layer (paper pictures, drawings, photos, fabric samples or the like) is applied behind a transparent, prefabricated plastic layer and is inseparably connected to this by a transparent plastic protective layer and is preserved and secured against mechanical interference is, whereupon in a, still in the soft state of the protective layer pressed mold frame a metered ge colored encasing compound is poured and the carrier plate is sunk in the mold frame up to the envelope of all immersion surfaces of the same.
In order to expel all air bubbles that remain approximately underneath when the decorative layer is applied, the decorative layer is applied to the protective layer under pressure with some advantage. In the case of larger carrier plates, these can expediently be provided with through-holes for the coating compound in the dipping direction.
In the drawing, the individual phases of the method according to the invention are shown schematically in longitudinal cross-sections, namely FIG. 1 shows the application of the plastic layer on the molding plate, FIG. 2 shows the subsequent application of the decorative layer as a fabric, FIG same longitudinal section for a decorative layer of paper,
Fig. 4 the placement of the mold frame and the filling of the metered white coating compound and Fig. 5 finally the A press the carrier plate in the mold frame to form the finished up to the grinding of the remaining edges decorative panel.
The inventive method is z. B. executed as follows: On a heatable plate, the mold plate 1 is first placed, which is highly chrome-plated in the production of decorative panels with a high-gloss surface, while its surface for the production of decorative panels with a matt layer is only matt chrome-plated. The molded plate 1 has no edges, so that decorative layers protruding beyond their edge surfaces can be spread flat over the same regardless of their dimensions.
On this mold plate 1, the liquid mass for the first through visible plastic layer layer 2 is first applied in doses and supplemented by Beiga ben of hardeners and accelerators to achieve certain hardening times. The thickness of this prefabricated layer can be regulated by dosing. This layered layer mass is evenly distributed over the surface of the mold plate 1 in the required thickness until it overflows over the edge of the mold plate 1 either with a brush or by spraying or by special application machines.
By supplying heat from the heating plate on the mold plate 1, this show layer 2 is then cured in the applied thickness over the entire mold plate 1. According to FIG. 2, a second, likewise transparent plastic protective layer 4 is then applied to the prefabricated layer 2 in the white state and, before it hardens, the decorative layer 3 is simultaneously placed in the protective layer 4, for example by rolling or other pressure, so that no air bubbles remain between them.
According to Fig. 2, a fabric layer 3 is intended as a decorative layer, which is about in a subframe 3b is clamped and by pressure of the mold plate überra lowing frame 3b against this can therefore be pressed into the mass 4 without air bubbles. According to FIG. 3, a sheet of paper 3a is intended as the decorative layer, which is pressed firmly into the protective layer 4, for example by rolling.
In all cases, the decorative layer 3 or 3a should be inserted into the plastic protective layer 4 before curing from the same air bubble-free by pressure. According to FIG. 2, this pressure is achieved in the case of fabric patterns by pressing down the subframe 3b; according to FIG. 3, the pressing down of a paper layer 3a in the soft plastic layer 4 can be carried out by pressing rollers, cylinders or the like.
According to FIG. 4, prior to the hardening of the layer 4, i.e. still in the soft state of the same, the mold frame 5 is then pressed against the soft layer 4 until its lower edge rests tightly on the prefabricated, already hardened layer 2, whereby an all-round edge seal is produced lumbar decorative panel is created. Then a metered, colored enveloping mass 6 is poured into the mold frame in the liquid state and before it hardens, the carrier plate 7 is sunk in the mold frame 5 by pressure until the liquid enveloping compound 6 rises on the side surfaces of the carrier plate 7 and this accordingly seamlessly envelops their diving surfaces on a11.
In the case of larger carrier plates 7, the same can also be provided with through-holes 7a in the dipping direction in order to thereby enlarge the adhesive surfaces between the encapsulation compound 6 and the surfaces of the carrier plate 7. In FIG. 5, the left half of the carrier plate 7 is shown with such through holes 7a, while the right half of this plate is shown schematically without such through holes.
In the case of smaller plates, such as those used as murals, the attachment of the through holes 7a for firm adhesion of the encapsulation compound 6 to the carrier plate 7 is not required.
After the encasing compound 6 has emerged from the top by pressing the carrier plate 7 in the mold frame 5, it is spread evenly on the surface of the carrier plate 7 (which will be the lower surface of the finished product) and by supplying heat under the mold plate 1 through the underlying Cured heating plate.
After hardening, the molding frame with the finished product is lifted off the base plate 1 and the plate is knocked out of the molding frame 5. To facilitate this removal of the Formrah men can have 5 pyramidal or conical edge surfaces (Fig. 4 and 5), which facilitate the removal of the finished product from the mold frame in. The cone or pyramid axis.
The uneven edge press flaps on the side edges of the finished product, which result from the protruding layer 2, are knocked off and the edges of the finished product are ground smooth.
Through this manufacturing process, the decorative layer behind the prefabricated laminated layer is on the one hand secured against mechanical interference, on the other hand by the protective layer 4 both in its color and in its decoration and is seamlessly and inextricably connected through the described manufacturing process with the carrier plate 7, which is covered on all sides. The method described accordingly allows the production of high-quality and durable decorative panels in a simple manner, which also have high aesthetic value as room, wall picture or furniture decorations.
