Description
Dowels for receiving two-shank spring nails The invention relates to a dowel for receiving two-shank spring nails. The anchor is mainly intended to attach rails to sleepers.
Dowels for receiving two-shaft Federnä gels are already known. They have the disadvantage that the hammered-in spring nails can loosen over time.
The feature of the invention is that the two bores run at an angle to one another, the distance between the bores at the upper end being smaller than at the lower end of the dowel.
The dowel can be provided with grooves in the outer jacket, whereby better adhesion of the dowel inserted into an opening is possible. The outer jacket of the anchor can also be designed as a thread. The dowel is expediently made of wood or plastic. The anchor is preferably suitable for insertion in a concrete sleeper.
An embodiment of the invention can have two parallel flats from sen, which are either perpendicular or parallel to a plane laid through the central axes of the dowel holes.
The advantage of the arrangement according to the invention is that when the dowel is hammered in, the shafts are slightly braced with respect to the dowel. This tension counteracts the forces caused by the spring pressure of the nail head when the dowel is pulled out, and thereby considerably increases the pull-out resistance.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows a so-called shaft dowel in Seitenan view, FIG. 2 shows a longitudinal section through the dowel according to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows the dowel according to FIGS. 1 and 2 in a perspective view and partially cut.
Fig. 4-6 Top views of the upper end of the dowels of dowels of different cross-sections. 1 with the massive dowel body, with 2 the one, with 3 the other bore. The upper end of the bore 2 is designated with 2a and the lower end with 2b. The upper end of the bore 3 is designated by 3a, the lower end by 3b. The outer wall 4 of the anchor according to Figure 1 to 3 is wave-shaped forms.
The anchor according to Figure 4 has a circular cross-section. As the figures show, the upper bore ends 2a, 3a are closer together than the lower bore ends 2b, 3b.
The dowel according to FIG. 5 contains two parallel flats on the outside, which are perpendicular to the connec tion plane of the central axes of the two holes.
In Fig. 6, a dowel is shown, the outside of which has two parallel flattened areas which run parallel to the connecting plane of the central axes of the two dowel holes.
