Rotary piston engine The known rotary piston engines, which .with high tension gases, in particular combustion gases, or steam from a memory, d. H.
from combustion or explosion chambers, which are delicately separated from the engine, have not proven themselves in practice, since the wear and tear on the moving parts and their frictional resistance were too great and the efficiency of conventional piston engines could not be achieved.
The present invention relates to a rotary piston engine in which one - in with at least one tangential nozzle and. an outlet channel provided cylinder a rolling piston is arranged as a rotor, which on its circumference as! Attack surface for dife compressed gases during,
the .Rotation has tangential depressions reaching into the flow axis.
The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely:
Fig. 1 is a cross section through the rotary piston engine and Fig. 2 is a plan view of Fiig. 1 with partially perforated housing.
The rotary piston engine shown has a cylindrical engine housing 1 with a beach foot 2.
In the interior of the housing, a cylinder 4 is mounted on bearing flanges 3 a, formed on separating ribs 3 of the housing, which: form an interrupted bearing cylinder. The cylinder 4 is fixed:
by being either clamped or screwed to the end faces lia, 1b of the motor housing.
In the cylinder 4 'a cylindrical slide 5 is mounted and rotatably adjustable within certain ter limits. The shell space, as shown in the housing, is divided into three spaces A, B,
C divided. The subspace A serves as a pressure chamber and is provided on the end wall la with the gas inlet 6, which is connected to this storage device which supplies the pressure medium. Subspace B forms the relaxation area with:
the .gas outlet nozzle 7, while the subspace C valley serves as a cooling clamp,! which is constantly supplied with fresh air through the air inlet nozzle 8:
is rinsed. In the cylindrical shell 5 there is a cylindrical rotary piston 9, arranged as a rotor, which is well fitted in the former and which, without significant friction:
& can marry. The rotary piston 9 is by means of its axis 10 in the end walls 1a, 1b by means of in, the drawing:
Not shown ball bearing and sealing means stored. .The cylinder 4 is in the area of the pressure chamber A .with a slit-shaped nozzle 11 extending over its entire width,
in the area of this expansion space B with a gas outlet port 12 and in the area of each cooling chamber C with a cooling slot 13. .The cylindrical slide 5 is blended with a slot-shaped nozzle 11 with the rotary piston 9;
the eDüsen-.Riglieraus-, cut 14 provided, in which a plow-shaped sliding part '5a with, appropriate rotation of the sliding arm 5, the nozzle 11 from the center,
closed on both sides so that it progresses evenly. In addition, the rotary slide valve 5 is connected to the ventilation space B with an outlet slot 12,
at cutout 15 as well as with a ventilation slot 13 with the cooling chamber C connecting. Section 16 provided. The slot-shaped nozzle 11 is tangentially directed towards the circumference of the rotary piston. .On the Unifang,
These rotary pistons 9 are tangential depressions 17 that continue in the direction of the flow axis of the nozzle 11 when passing the latter and are arranged in two alternately laterally offset groups 17a, 17.b are,
intended. These depressions form the contact surface of the pressure lane, which seek to turn the rotary piston in the Richturig, the indicated arrow = les a. The for:
The slide 5 serving for nozzle regulation is provided on one of its end faces with a toothed rim 5b, which is surrounded by an annular space D separated from the subspaces A, B, C.
A toothed pinion 18 located in the annular space D meshes with this toothed ring 5b, its axis. in, the housing end wall 1'b is mounted and,
a regulating wheel 19 carries on the outside of the housing.
When the gas flows in through the nozzle 11, the rotary piston is set in rotation, whereby the two groups of depressions 17a and 17b alternate one after the other, so that in each rotary position:
of the rotary piston 9 always a .Group or depressions; comes into action. By turning the hand wheel 19, the number of wires or the power of the motor can be regulated.
By appropriate rotation of the slide 5, the nozzle 11 is continuously extended and covered from the center to both sides until the nozzle is completely closed.
The high-tension gases released through the supply line 6 in, & 2n, Te'lbaum A are expanded in the nozzle 11, whereby the pressure energy is converted into flow energy,
is converted. This flow energy is transferred to the rotor when the gases strike the rotary piston recesses 17 of the rotor. When the gases flow out of Aden rotor recesses 17 into the ventilation space B, the following act depending on the pollution:
the machine also changing smaller relaxation forces; in the direction of rotation of the rotor. When the cooling contactor 13 passes, the recesses 17 are flushed with cold air.
The rotor 9 is the only part that moves when the motor is in operation, so that the friction of the motor is relatively low.
Instead of a single, slit-shaped nozzle 11 spraying the entire width of the rotor 9, several round nozzles could also be arranged next to one another, which coincide with the individual nozzle circles.
