La fig. 1 est une vue en plan de cette forme d'exé cution;
Fixed tank mixer
The present invention relates to a mixer with a fixed tank with blades loaded by springs, intended to rotate rapidly in the tank and fixed to arms capable of rotating about a vertical axis, each blade being connected to a shaft mounted in the tank. a horizontal sleeve and which, by means of a lever actuated by a spring, can press the blade down into its lower position.
In known mixers of this type, there is generally no device which allows the adjustment and control of the spring pressure for each individual blade in relation to the size of the materials to be mixed and the vertical movement of the blade in mass during mixing.
The object of the invention is to provide a device which, on the one hand, allows the adjustment and control of the spring pressure so that the desired function of the blade is fulfilled, and on the other hand protects the assembly to emerges from overload, external damage and impurities and also makes it possible to quickly assemble or disassemble the entire rotary apparatus in one piece.
The mixer according to the invention is characterized in that each assembly comprising a spring and its associated lever, is enclosed in a dust-tight spring housing, on the vertical external face of the rotor, and in that this housing supports the internal end. of the sleeve with its bearing for the shaft.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention:
Fig. 1 is a plan view of this embodiment;
fig. 2 is a view on a larger scale taken according to
A-A of fig. 1, and
fig. 3 is a section along B-B of FIG. 2.
The mixer shown comprises a mixing tank 1 with a box-shaped rotor 2 which can rotate around the central axis of the tank and which is driven by means not shown. Spring housings 3, closed, are fixed on the vertical face of the rotor and each have an inspection cover 4.
Each housing 3 encloses a pressure spring 5, one end of which is connected to a screw stop 6 fixed in one side of the housing 3 for establishing and adjusting the spring pressure, and the other end of which is connected to a lever 7 carrying a spring support 7a and which surrounds the inner end of a shaft 8 mounted in a horizontal sleeve 9 fixed to the front side of the housing 3. The shaft is of a length adapted to the position of a blade 11 and connected to a blade arm 10, 10a which supports the mixing blade 11. The arm 10, which in the lower position of the blade advantageously takes a horizontal position, carries at its outer end a screw member 12 which firmly holds a profiled section steel 10a arranged vertically and at the lower end of which the blade 11 is fixed by a support.
The vertical position of the blade can be adjusted by modifying in the vertical direction the position of the spring housing 3. Above the blade arm is mounted a device which indicates the movement of the blade in the vertical direction and which comprises an arm. 13 which has a removable hole 14 in which a steel pin 15 is mounted freely, its lower end resting against a stop 16 fixed in one of the arms 10 or 10a of the blade. The position and shape of the peg are such that its maximum movement in the vertical direction is as great as that of the blade, and its upper end is level with the upper side of the arm 13 when the blade is in its lower position.
The movement of the pin 15 beyond the arm 13 thus shows that the blade has moved in a vertical direction in the mass, so that the pressure of the spring can be established and regulated according to what has been said above.
The spring 5, after the initial pressure adapted to the pressure on the blade, still has sufficient elasticity for the blade to be lifted high enough so that the largest stones of the mass can pass under this blade. This point is obviously of very great importance for the operation of the machine because if the elasticity was read sufficient or if the resistance was too strong for the stones which tend to exert a wedge action under the blade cannot lift the blade. - here enough to pass under it, these stones would drag on the bottom of the tank and would thus cause considerable wear and excessive stresses on the whole of the rotary apparatus.
Moreover, if the spring pressure is too low and if the blade is constantly maintained a little above the bottom of the tank, the materials placed under the blade are not mixed. The initial pressure on the spring must therefore be adjusted, using a control device which demonstrates the vertical movement of the blade, so that this blade is held downwards against the bottom of the tank but can jump on the stones which try to pass under the blade.
