Multiple air filter as a structural unit The invention relates to a multiple air filter. As a structural unit of several filter elements arranged one behind the other for cleaning atmospheric air.
Air filters are known in which: a paper star filter is connected downstream of a cyclone. Such filters are common at B: rerm @ kraftmaschmen (French patent 1134 856).
The invention aims to create a multiple air filter which is used to filter out dust and other arbitrarily induced air pollutants and has multiple filter elements, which has a filter box of small size that can be easily dismantled for the accessibility of the individual filter elements, in which a combination of Fan and filter is housed.
The invention is characterized in that a first box accommodating at least one cyclone, a second box accommodating a combination of fan rotor and paper filter, and a third box accommodating the post-filter, which has an adsorbing filter medium, can be put together to form a closed structural unit and again are separable from each other.
Since a special box that can be detached from the other boxes is provided for each individual filtering, each filter element is easily accessible. The boxes can be easily releasably connected by screw or tension locks.
In a preferred embodiment of the multiple air filter, the longitudinal axes of the cyclone and the blower rotor paper filter system run perpendicular to each other, and the air is fed in via a deflecting baffle system, the longitudinal axis of which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cyclone.
Preferably, the first box, the cyclones with side dust discharge and. a downstream calming chamber surrounds, cuboid shape, as well as the second box accommodating the filter element with fan rotor in adaptation to the calming chamber, and the third L-shaped box in its frontal part of: the second box adjoining a baffle system and in:
the other part of the room accommodates the post-filter element, the second in connection with: the third box again resulting in a cuboid structure.
The drawing shows a multiple air filter as an exemplary embodiment. , the object of the invention shown schematically. 1 shows a section along line 1I in FIG. 2, FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II in FIG. 1, FIGS. 3 to 5 each have one of the boxes holding the filter elements.
The first box 1 has four axially parallel next to each other arranged cyclones 2, in which a pre-cleaning of the air by centrifugal effect and:
the discharge of coarse impurities at outlet 2 'is achieved. Air guide tubes 3 of the cyclones 2 open into a calming chamber 4 which has an outlet opening 5: which is located directly above a filter element 6 which is accommodated in a second box 7 and surrounded by a spiral wall 8. The filter element 6 can be driven by a small motor or by hand.
It consists of a paper filter star 9, which is carried by a fan rotor 10 provided with fan blades on the inner circumference.
At the end of the fan housing 8 is connected: a deflection chamber 11 'as part of an L-shaped third box 11, viewed from the side, in which guide plates 12 are arranged.
These lead the pre-cleaned air exiting the filter element 6 to, for example, four paper star filters 13 arranged side by side in the room part 11, on the outer circumference of which an adsorption layer 14 carrying a contact agent is provided. The air flowing into the paper star filter 13 from the inside to the outside exits the third filter box 11 cleaned from.
Instead of the paper and carbon filters 13 and 14, similarly adsorbing filters can be made from others

Media are used to adequately purify atmospheric air from annoying or biologically active toxic components.
A particular advantage of the new multiple air filter in modular form is that a filter unit built without the first filter stage in box 1, but still effective, can be installed as a unit near the bulkhead or in the trunk of a motor vehicle.
