Fig. 2 zeigt ein ähnliches Gebläse, ebenfalls in axialem Schnitt.
Axial Fan The present invention relates to an axial fan having radial blades.
There are axial fans with radial blades be known, which are provided with a rotating ring running around the outer blade ends, extending in the axial direction in both directions substantially beyond the blade ends.
In the housing of this fan, a recess for receiving the circumferential ring is provided, only a narrow gap is provided between the recess and the ring in the axial direction Rich.
In the case of rough production of the fan parts or axially elastic suspension of the fan rotor, the gap between the circumferential ring and the fan housing must be kept so wide that it is noticeable in terms of flow and generates noise.
The present invention avoids this disadvantage in that the end of the nozzle-shaped inflow channel of the fan has a somewhat smaller diameter in its area facing the fan rotor than the circumferential ring and is overlapped by it. This design makes it possible to tolerate the surrounding ring and the adjacent part of the inflow channel in the axial direction very roughly. The fan rotor can also be mounted elastically without touching the adjacent inflow channel due to its load-dependent, axial movement.
The fan housing can be cylindrical and surround the fan rotor on the outside, the fan housing then having a somewhat larger diameter than this at least in the area adjacent to the outlet end of the circumferential ring. In this case, the annular gap between the inflow channel and the circumferential ring is preferably connected to the pressure side of the fan via the space between the housing and the fan rotor.
This arrangement enables a return flow from the pressure side of the blower to the suction side in order to enable an axially directed additional flow in the direction of the delivery flow in the area within the circumferential ring from the suction side. This additional flow in the area of the blade ends, a very favorable overall flow course is achieved.
In the case of axial fans, in which the fan rotor is mounted and driven on the suction side, it can have flow cross-sections in the axial direction, and a fixed cap can be arranged on the suction side in the region of the hub. This stationary cap can overlap the hub in the axial direction, so that an annular gap is formed between the hub and the cap, which is connected to the pressure side of the fan via the cavities of the hub.
This results in a similarly favorable flow guidance in the area of the rotor blades close to the axis as described above in the area of the outer blade ending.
In the case of blowers in which the hub cap does not rotate, it must be ensured that the rotor blades at both ends, i.e. H. on the outer circumference of the rotor and also in the hub zone, are limited by a closing ring which extends in the axial direction to both sides substantially beyond the area of the rotor blades.
In the case of multi-stage fans, the cap can also engage in the rotating hub, with the air being sucked out by one of the front fan stages.
Due to the backflow of conveyed medium at the outlet end of the circumferential ring and, if necessary, the hollow and the blades in the axial direction significantly protruding rotor hub form ring vortices, which support a diffuser effect of the outlet channel from the fan favorably.
It is also possible to arrange the inflow channel according to the invention in such a way that a gap is formed between it and the fan housing, through which a part of the returning medium is conveyed to the intake port of the inflow channel. Exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows an axial fan according to the invention in an axial section with a fan rotor mounted on the intake side.
Fig. 2 shows a similar fan, also in axial section.
In detail, in Fig. 1: an axial fan is Darge, the fan rotor 1 is arranged in a cylindrical housing 2. The bearing and the drive of the Gehläseläufer 1 are located in a fixed cap 3, which is connected to the inflow channel 5 via struts 4.
The blades 6 of the fan rotor 1 are surrounded by a cylindrical ring 7, the outside diameter of which is so large that a gap 8 remains free between the ring 7 and the housing 2. The rear region 9 of the inflow channel 5 projects into the front part of the circumferential ring, a gap 10 being formed between the two parts.
The hub 11 of the fan rotor has free flow cross sections in the axial direction and is protruded at the front end by the cap 3 on the outside in the axial direction, a gap 12 being formed between these parts.
In the operation of the blower shown, promoted medium flows from the pressure side through the ring gaps 8 and 10 back to the suction side and is fed back to the main stream in the direction of flow in the loading area of the blade ends. Likewise, through the hub 11 and the annular gap 12, a backflow occurs in the area of the inner blade ends.
In the game Ausführungsbei shown in Fig. 2, the fan rotor 13 is mounted on the pressure side of the fan and surrounded by a housing 14. An annular gap 16 remains between the circumferential cylindrical ring 15 of the fan rotor 13 and the housing 14. The end 17 of the housing 14 located on the suction side widens outwards so that a gap 19 is formed between this housing part 17 and the inflow channel 18.
The rear end 20 of the inflow channel 18 protrudes inside into the front part of the circumferential ring, a ring gap 21 again remaining free.
During operation of the blower shown, a backflow of the conveyed medium occurs through the gap 16, which is partly fed back through the gap 21 of the main flow in the area of the blade ends, while another part of the backflow of the medium flows through the gap 19 of the The intake side of the inflow channel 18 flows towards it.
