Device for keeping an electrical consumer voltage constant A device for keeping an electrical consumer voltage constant is known, in which a transformer is used with a secondary winding connected to a capacitor to form a resonant circuit. a leakage flux path of increased magnetic resistance is provided between the primary winding and the secondary winding in such a way that part of the magnetic flux can pass through one of the windings to the exclusion of the other.
If such a device is operated on the primary side in such a voltage range that the magnetic flux density of the transformer core part accommodating the primary winding remains below the highest magnetic flux density of the transformer core part accommodating the secondary winding, then there is a change in the magnetic flux density in the transformer core part accommodating the primary winding due to changes in the force line in the primary winding no noticeable effect on the resonance circuit, since the magnetic resistance of the leakage flux path is below that of the transformer core part that accommodates the secondary winding.
With such a device, a largely constant output voltage can be achieved despite a fluctuating input voltage.
In the known device, the primary and secondary windings are arranged on a straight lamellar pack, to which at least one E-shaped yoke part consisting of punched sheets is assigned, which engages around the windings, the middle web of the yoke part engaging between the windings and with which the windings are supported Core part forms an air gap. In this design, the dimensions of the air gap are essential for the mode of operation. Since this can only be changed with difficulty, the adjustment of such a device is difficult. In addition, the core used has relatively large magnetic losses, which limit the field of application of the known device.
The invention is based on the object of creating a device which is improved over the known device, in which adjustment work in the magnetic circuit is largely avoided, and which in addition has considerably smaller dimensions with the same performance.
The invention consists in that the transformer core is made up of lamellae with a preferred magnetic direction, the lamellae of the part of the transformer core carrying the main flux flowing through it exclusively in the preferred magnetic direction, while the lamellae forming the magnetic stray flux path are arranged in this way are that the preferred magnetic direction and the magnetic flux leakage direction differ from each other.
The magnetic leakage flux path can consist of at least one lamella set, the preferred magnetic direction of which is perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, with cut ribbon core halves carrying windings essentially without an air gap being attached to this lamella set on both sides, namely on the end faces of the lamellae. For the primary winding and the secondary winding, two cut ribbon core halves can be provided with a common lamella pack forming the leakage flux paths. The cut ribbon core halves can, however, also be assigned separate lamella packs forming the leakage flux paths.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing using an embodiment. The drawings show: FIG. 1 the transformer of the device according to the invention, the winding being cut away for better visibility, FIG. 2 a side view of the transformer and FIG. 3 graphical representations of the dependence of the output voltage of the device on the load current.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 10 to 13 denote four cut tape core halves which are attached to the straight core part 14. The cut tape core halves 10 to 13 are produced in a known manner. It
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
a magnetic sheet metal with a preferred magnetic direction running in the longitudinal direction is wound onto a mandrel, and the individual sheet metal layers are glued to one another after an annealing process and the roll produced in this way is separated in the middle. The magnetic flux flowing through the core halves consequently always penetrates the individual sheets in the preferred magnetic direction.
The straight core part 14 consists of lamellas stacked one on top of the other, which also have a preferred magnetic direction, this preferred direction being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core part 14. This results in two magnetic circuits in contact with one another with the following courses: Leg 10a of core part 10, core 14, leg 12a of the core part 12, leg 12b of the core part 12, core 14, leg 10b of the core part 10; Leg 11 a of the core part 11, core 14, leg 13 a of the core part 13, leg 13 b of the core part 13, core 14, leg l 1 b of the core part 11.
In the two magnetic circuits, the magnetic flux runs exclusively in the preferred magnetic direction of the various lamellae. The primary winding 16 of the transformer is plugged onto the legs 10b and 11a of the core parts 10 and 11, while the secondary winding 17 is plugged onto the legs 12b and 13a of the core parts 12 and 13.
The individual core parts 10 to 13 are attached to the side of the core 14 in such a way that the end faces of the legs rest against the end edges of the lamellae forming the core 14. The individual lamellae of the core 14 are held together by rivets 18, which can be made of brass, for example. A thin, electrically insulating layer, which is intended to prevent the occurrence of eddy currents, can be provided between the end faces of the individual core legs and the core 14. The entire device is held together by the tension band 15.
The increased resistance of the magnetic core 14 to the leakage flux results from the fact that the preferred magnetic direction of the individual sheets runs perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the core, while the leakage flux penetrates the core in its longitudinal direction.
The core 14 can be divided along the line 19, that is to say in a magnetically neutral zone, without the magnetic properties being influenced. However, this makes it easier for the end faces of the individual legs to rest firmly. The transformer shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 then consists of two similar parts. Instead of two parts, the transformer can of course also be composed of just one core part, that is to say, for example, consisting of parts 10, 12 and 14.
In the transformer core according to FIGS. 1 and 2, although an air gap is not required, an increased magnetic resistance of the leakage flux path is achieved by the deviation of the preferred magnetic direction of the core 14 from the direction of this magnetic leakage flux. Since the core 14 can be manufactured with very precisely fixed properties and precise dimensions, readjustment of the magnetic circuit is practically unnecessary. A firm hold together of the lamellas forming the core 14 is ensured by the rivets 18, which can consist of brass, for example.
The mode of operation of the device is known per se. For example, the primary winding 16, like the secondary winding 17, can be a single winding. An electrical network is connected to the primary winding, while a capacitor of suitable size is connected in parallel with the secondary winding 17, which capacitor forms a resonance circuit with the inductance of the secondary winding.
The secondary winding 17 is preferably tapped and the output voltage is taken from one end of the winding and the tap. The primary winding 16 can also have a tap, and one end of the output winding can be led to this tap, so that the output voltage taken from the secondary winding is connected in series with part of the input voltage. Instead of the galvanic taps from the primary and secondary coil, inductively coupled windings can also be provided, which are connected in series with one another. The type of circuit can be modified within certain limits.
In this way, voltage equilibrium is achieved even without the series connection of part of the primary voltage with the output voltage.
3 shows output characteristics of the device according to the invention in comparison to those of a known device. The characteristic curves of the known device are shown by solid lines and those of the device according to the invention are shown by dashed lines. The illustration shows that the device according to the invention enables the output voltage to be kept constant at a given load despite the fluctuating mains voltage with a relatively low tolerance even at a comparatively high load.
In addition, the tests have shown that the core weight of the transformer can be reduced considerably with the design according to the invention.
