Seal for components that are in contact with one another and move together, especially for doors and windows The seals on doors and windows known to date only fulfill their task under the condition that the sash and frame of the doors and. Windows do not warp beyond certain limits. By warping the door and window sashes, air gaps are created between the contact surfaces to be sealed on the sash and casing frame, which make the perfect seal possible. This drawback is intended to be eliminated by the present invention.
The subject of the invention is a seal for another adjacent mutually movable components, in particular special for doors and windows. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that a flexible sealing tape is arranged in a carrier element sunk in a groove of one of the components, from which it partially protrudes and the other component rests, the carrier element having gripping means, of which the one for anchoring in the groove, the other for anchoring the sealing tape.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a horizontal section through the seal on a door according to a first application example, FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section through the seal on a door according to a second application example, FIG 3 shows a cross section through the mounting profile of the seal, FIG. 4 shows a cross section through the associated sealing tape,
Fig. 5 shows a cross section through the seal immediately before pressing the same into the groove serving to take them on; and Fig. 6 shows a cross section through the seal after it has been pressed into the groove.
The seal shown has a flexible sealing tape 1 made of rubber, plastic, synthetic resin, etc. The mounting profile 2, which forms a support element and has a U-shaped cross section made of resiliently rigid material such as aluminum, brass, sheet steel or plastic, is used to hold or clamp the sealing tape. The frame profile is hen on its outer surfaces with longitudinal wedge ribs or saw teeth 2 'and on its facing inner surfaces with oppositely directed longitudinal wedge ribs or saw teeth 2 "verses.
The legs of the mounting profile 2 run slightly divergent to one another before assembly, as can be seen in FIG. 3. This shape of the profile allows easy insertion of the sealing tape 1. The installation of the version 2 provided with the sealing tape 1 takes place in a groove 3 in the sealing rebate of the door or window sash 4 or casing frame 5. First, the sealing tape 1 is pushed into the frame profile 2, as can be seen in FIG.
The mounting profile 2 together with the sealing tape 1 is then driven into the groove 3 with the aid of a U-rail 9 with a striking tool until the same is sunk. As a result, the slightly divergent legs are pressed together in a mutually parallel position according to FIG. 6 and at the same time the sealing tape 1 is clamped by the ribs or teeth 2 ". The mounting of the mounting profile 2 in the clamping position in the groove 3 is particularly due to that in the walls the groove 3 penetrated wedge ribs or teeth 2 'effective.
The groove 3 is milled into the sash or frame of a door or window in such a way that it runs parallel to the door or window plane. The sealing tape 1 of the socket profile 2 sunk in the groove 3 penetrates with its protruding flexible tongue the air gap 6 perpendicular to the door or window plane (FIG. 1) and is pressed sealingly against the surface 8 'opposite the groove opening. The sealing end of the flexible tongue of the sealing tape 1 abuts against one in the direction of movement of the door or window wing extending, to the end face 8 of the wing 4 parallel sealing surface 8 '.
This arrangement of the sealing strip 1 achieves a reliable closure that seals reliably and well even when the door or window sash is strongly distorted. The seal is independent of the mutual contact of the stop surfaces 7, 7 'effective. Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the seal on a door, which differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 1 only by a different arrangement of the sealing elements.
In this case, the groove 3 for receiving the frame profile 2 together with the sealing tape 1 in the rebate of the feed frame 5 of the door is provided so that the sealing tape 1 abuts against the face of the door leaf 4 opposite the mouth of the groove 3.
The seal described is suitable for all types of movable components of all kinds that are loosely adjacent to one another and that are to be secured against air flow.
