der gegen den Messerträ ger abgefedert ist und in Ruhestellung über die Schneid kante des Messers hervortritt, und dass das feststehende Gegenstück aus einer in Längsrichtung geschlitzten Schiene besteht, wobei der Schlitz so tief ist, dass er das Schneidorgan aufnehmen kann, ohne däss dieses mit dem Gegenstück in Berührung kommt;
So beträgt z.
Device for severing individual sections from a material web and use of the device The present invention relates to a device for severing individual sections from a material web and the use of the device.
A material web can be understood to be one made of textiles or, in particular, one made of paper or foil, the web preferably being rolled up into a roll and being pulled off from there.
Modern packaging machines, in which goods are wrapped with paper or foils, mostly work from the roll. H. that the packaging material is not fed to the machine in predetermined formats of the required dimensions, but rather in the form of a roll and that the individual sheet is only separated from the roll before, during or after the actual packaging process. Before cutting devices that are used in such packaging machines are known in various forms.
Either the scissors cut is used, in which two cutting edges extend across the width of the roll, or small cutting knives are used, which lead across the width of the web of material. When cutting the scissors, the work can either be discontinuous, the feed of the sheet material from the roll is interrupted, and the material is cut or continuously using rotating knives whose cutting surfaces lie in the surface of an imaginary cylinder.
Devices that use the principles mentioned work properly. However, they have the disadvantage that if formats have to be cut from rolls of great width, they are either very expensive and heavy, if the cutting edge extends over the entire width, or run too slowly for high-performance packaging machines, if the knives are too wide and move here.
The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate the above disadvantages and to create a fast and safe device for separating individual sections from a web of material with an inexpensive and easily replaceable separating element that can be used in packaging machines of high Arbeitsgeschwin speed.
Accordingly, the subject matter of the invention is: I. a device for separating individual sections from a material web, with a movable part extending over the width of the material web and a fixed counterpart, which is characterized in that the movable part is perpendicular to the material web with a limited stroke is arranged up and down wegbar and carries the separating member in the form of a sharp thin knife blade, which is just if perpendicular to the web of material and has the same distance from it over the entire width, and that on both sides parallel to the cutting edge and a hold-down device for the material web is arranged at a distance,
which is cushioned against the knife carrier and protrudes over the cutting edge of the knife in the rest position, and that the fixed counterpart consists of a rail slotted in the longitudinal direction, the slot being so deep that it can accommodate the cutting element without it being connected to the Counterpart comes into contact;
and 1I. the use of the device for separating individual sheets from a paper or film web in a packaging machine with a large working width.
In contrast to the scissors cut, in which the web is separated from one side to the other between two cutting edges, in the device according to the invention the cut on the tensioned material web is carried out simultaneously over the entire width. It is essential for a perfect cut that the web is expediently under sufficient tension. The function of the hold-downs is to maintain this tensile stress even during the cutting process.
In the retirement, the two hold-down devices protrude slightly beyond the cutting edge of the knife, so that when the device is actuated they first touch the material web lying between the hold-down device and the counter-holder.
As the knife holder moves further, the two hold-down rails are pressed more and more onto the material web by the springs and hold it tight until, after a certain movement stroke of the knife holder, the knife hits the held and tense material web and punctures it. The slot in the counter holder takes the cutting edge of the knife blade during the cutting process,
so that it is not dulled by metallic contact. The closer the hold-downs are to the knife blade and the narrower the slot in the counter-holder, the better the cutting of the material web. For the cutting device to function properly, it is advantageous to let the cutting movement take place as quickly as possible. If the cut is made very quickly, it is not necessary to interrupt the paper feed.
In most cases, however, the packaging process takes longer than the feed of the format, so it is advisable to interrupt the feed.
The disconnection device is advantageously driven by one or more pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders or by an electric motor by means of a crank drive. However, it can also be done by hand or by foot force, with a corresponding lever transmission providing the necessary force on the knife.
The device according to the invention is particularly advantageous if the contact surfaces of the counter-holder and the hold-down rail are provided with non-slip coverings. A suitable covering is z. B. foam rubber. A particularly good tensioning effect is obtained if the hold-down rails have bead-like elevations over the entire width of the material web, which are pressed into the counter-holder in the appropriate channel-shaped depressions located there or on only a foam rubber layer located on the counter-holder.
As a result, the material is better tensioned, which improves the cutting process.
If thin materials are to be cut, steel strips that are ground on one side are preferably used as knife blades. These must be stretched taut across the web. For thicker materials, correspondingly thicker knife blades are used. So z. B. the knife thickness 1.3 mm in a widely used embodiment of the inventive device, the knife blade has a width of 1.20 m. In this case, the bevel of the knife blade is 6 mm wide.
Before given, knives with a sawtooth-shaped cutting edge are used, the teeth of which are sharpened towards the front edge. Although this does not allow a straight, smooth cut to be achieved, the force required for cutting is significantly less than with a smooth knife; Even the springs with the hold-down do not have to be excessively strong.
The distance between the teeth should be even; the period length can vary within wide limits and is expediently determined for each material to be cut by trial and error. A period length of about 3 mm has proven to be favorable for cutting paper and foils of medium thickness.
The undulating cut produced with such a saw tooth knife in no way affects the use of the cut-off blank as packaging material, since in most cases the packaging material is sealed or welded or glued together at this cut-off point or in the vicinity of the cut-off point the risk of tearing the paper or the films with low tear strength is also low.
For example, embodiments of the fiction, contemporary device are explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. 1 shows a cross section through the device in the rest position, FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the device in the extreme cutting position, FIG. 3 shows a view of the severing device over its entire width and FIGS. 4-7 different embodiments of the lowering surfaces.
In FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 one can see the stationary counter-holder 1 with the slot 2 and the non-slip coverings 3. The moving part located underneath carries the knife 4 in its center, firmly clamped between the profile strips 5 with welded spacers 6. These spacers 6 create the guide surface for the hold-down device 7, which is also provided with non-slip covering 3 on the contact surfaces.
The punches 8 are let into the hold-down 7 at one end, and at the other end they each have a locking ring 9 which limits the spring travel of the springs 10. The punches 8 are guided in the guide bushes 11. The direction of movement with which the profile box 5 is moved against the fixed Ge counter holder 1 is indicated by the arrow 12 is.
In Figure 4, the slotted counter holder 1 with slot 2 is provided over its entire length with the beads 14, which press when compressing the Vorrich device in the non-slip and elastic covering 3 and an additional bracing of the material web to be cut 13 in the area of the slot 2 result. The beads 14 can also be attached in multiple arrangements, regardless of whether they are located on the hold-down 7 of the movable part or the counter-holder 1 of the stationary part, as FIG. 5 shows.
6 shows the device with vertical guidance of the material web 13, with the elastic, non-slip covering being replaced by the recess 15 adapted to the beads 14 in the counterpart in this embodiment.
This also prevents the material web from slipping through during the cutting process. Fig. 7 shows the device with inclined Füh tion of the material web 13, it being of no importance for the mode of operation of the device that the non-slip coverings 3 are alternately on the opposite surface. This arrangement is advantageous for easier insertion of very thin webs of material which tend to jam when they hit non-slip surfaces.
The device according to the invention is, as mentioned, preferably used in very wide packaging machines, since its low weight and the ease with which the knife can be replaced are particularly advantageous.
Can be cut with the device, the commercially available papers and films in all thicknesses, such. B. tissue paper, cell glass, wrapping paper, Polypro pylenfolien, polyethylene film, film made of polyethylene terephthalate, film made of polyvinyl chloride or sol surface, which are derived from cellulose.
The use of the device is not only limited to the packaging sector, the device can also be used advantageously in the manufacture of the materials mentioned, as well as in printing and in the textile processing industry.
