Diese Schäfte gleiten in Büchsen 2@4. welche an dem Bauele- nicnt 64@,itzen. Die unteren finden dieser Schäfte sind in die Muffen236 einL#e,cliratiht, welche durch die An,:itze 238 drehbar in einer Ringkonstruktion 240 gehalten wer den;

The rotation of the blades 142 also causes the secondary air to flow inward through the annular opening 122 and through spaces not shown here into the area next to the inner end of the rotor blades 142, from there downwards between the diffuser blades 134 and through Openings 176 in component 90, through space 112 and the like.
through the channel including the openings 107 (FIG. 6) into the space 178 between the inwardly extending lips 180 and 182 on the component 86. The ventilation air leaves the space 178 through the narrow clearances 184 and 186 between the inner ends of the lips 180 and 182 and the adjacent rotor parts.
The flow of air through clearances 184 and 186 into the classification zone and the third rotor stage prevents particles from entering these clearances and thus the high friction losses, wear, contamination and heat generation that would otherwise develop. The ventilation air then combines with the main air flow and a corresponding volume of air, together with the air flowing in through the feed pipes, flows out of the device and into the spirals 30 and 34.
A portion of the ventilation air also flows around the top of the plate 12-1 through the openings 188 and 190 in the structural element 90 and through the narrow clearance 192 between the inner parts of the rotor assembly 76 and one downwardly projecting flange 193 on component 90 next to the inlet, the feed pipes 146.
A part of the air also flows through the drilled rotor ducts 19-1 and 1951, through the clearance 196 between the rotor and the top projection 12, in order to protect the rotor shafts from contamination.
The particles to be classified. are introduced into the feed hopper at the top of the housing at the same rate, with a slight vacuum at the bottom of the feed hopper assisting the movement of the particles into and through the feed tubes 146.

because it is exposed to a relatively large amount of wear and tear. After contact with the stop ring 202, the particles fall vertically through the slot 204 between the lower edge of the stop ring and the outer edge of the rotor assembly directly into the center of the classifying zone. Since the stop ring 202 is cylindrical or only slightly conical, the radial vorticity of the particles is
when they get into the classification zone, zero. This is only possible if the stop ring is stationary, as is the case with the present device. A stop ring rotating with the rotor must have a beveled wall over the angle of friction for the task well on the surface in question, generally in the Of the order of 45.
Since there must be a margin between the respective angle of friction and the inclination of the stop ring surface, the particles slide along this surface under the influence of centrifugal force at considerable speed and have a considerable radial speed component when entering the classification zone, which is caused by the subsequent classification the particle becomes considerably complicated.
As best shown in FIG. 5, the classifying zone comprises an outer stationary ring zone 206 between the lower wall of the component 130 and the upper wall of the lip 182 and an inner rotating ring zone 208, the latter containing the blades 158 and 160.
The radial blades in the inner classifying zone 203 reduce the top speed of the air and thus the friction losses. In the absence of these blades, a free turbulent flow would occur in this area. Since the radius in this area amounts to about two-thirds of the radii of the blade tips 158, the air speed would be -0% higher. and the losses in this part of the main air flow.
would amount to more than double that which is to be expected with the device according to the invention using the blades. These latter also allow a compact one-piece rotor construction and produce a desired boundary layer, as will be explained in detail further on.

In order to meet the equilibrium conditions in the inner cladding zone 208, the walls must diverge with a reduced radius. In any case, the difference between the theoretically perfect zone shapes with different Revnolds' numbers makes it necessary to use a compromise solution in the design. In the ideal case, the walls of both classification zones should be curved.
However, it has been found that the slight curvature can be omitted and the walls of the zones can be produced according to a straight generatrix. without sacrificing the achievable classification accuracy. In the present case, these rods are clamped between a lower plate 212 on the installation element 64 and an upper plate 214, which is fastened to the installation element 64 by a plurality of screws 216.
It should be noted here that the plate 214 also forms the upper wall of the channel which connects the downstream side of the separator 174 and the inlet side of the main rotor blades 144 to one another. The rods are installed at an appropriate distance from each other. to form the grooves 218 between them. Each of the rods is also provided with a central axial opening 220. and these openings communicate with the space outside the rods through the entry slots 222.
When the air laden with particles flows in a circular path around the outer surface of the bars in the direction of the arrows 224, the larger particles in the air flow move in a downward spiraling path around the outer surface of the grille and finally leave the lower edge of the grille. The air flowing through the throats 218 is virtually free of particles.
In the present case both the relatively larger particles, which move around the outer surface of the lattice, and the somewhat smaller particles get there. which flow through the openings 220 to the conical wall part 78 of the component 64 for the purpose of passage through the slot 92 to the collecting spiral; 4 for the fine particles.
Fig. 8 shows a further embodiment of a grid separator, which tends a little less to clog and can be used for any class, iergut who can. The individual grid elements 226 are a little 'larger than the elements 21t), and the exit throats 228 are larger. For this reason, the separator is according to FiL. 8 less effective than the separator of the aforementioned patent application number 31402.
However, it is sufficient for use with the classifier according to the invention and removes 80-99% of the fine particles from the circulating air, depending on the particle size and other factors. Of the remaining 1-20 r / c of the fine particles, only a small fraction passes over into the fraction of the coarse particles.
In the rare cases it becomes possible to that the sum of the fine particles in the Au.-Jass for the coarse particles and four too large particles in the outlet for the fine particles, i amounts to less than 1'r.
In the embodiment described, the separation route of the particles can be adjusted over a wide range. namely during operation of the device.
This regulation is carried out by a throttle ring 230, which is between a fully open position, which is shown in Fi.iT. ', in full at!,' drawn lines dange, tellt is, and a full _e, clilo ,, enen situation can move.
A partially ge, cü @ o, - #enc position is shown in @ 'ge, triclalten lines. If the dro "ulring 230 moves downward, after the line tl_trge, tellt @ n 1 __;:, c moves. It blocks a closed line de, 11; tuptlttft # trotn.

The Dros, elrin, 2 # i0 is on (free shafts 232 an, -, e- Z:, of which only one is shown here.
These shafts slide in sockets 2 @ 4. which on the component is not 64 @, itzen. The bottom of these shafts are in the sleeves 236 , cliratiht, which by means of the attachment 238 rotatably held in a ring construction 240;
the latter is suitably secured to the intermediate bracket 64 by the inner and outer screws 242 and 244, respectively. At its lower end one of the sleeves 236 carries a gear 246 which is in engagement with a gear 248 which is attached to a sleeve 250 for the purpose of Dre hung; the latter is rotatably seated on a pin 252 which is mounted in a shoulder 254 of the intermediate holder 64.
Furthermore, a Regu lierring 256 is non-rotatably attached to the sleeve 250, the circumference of which protrudes through an opening in the housing for the purpose of manual adjustment.
A dial 258 bears suitable identification marks and is freely rotatably mounted on the sleeve 250, together with a gear wheel 260 which meshes with a small gear wheel 262 rotatable with the sleeve 236. So if the adjustment is made by the actuator and the ReLu - lierringes 256 is changed, the dial 258 also rotates, but at a reduced speed.
The parts are dimensioned so that several rotations of the regulating ring 256 cause full movement of the throttle ring 230. but the dial 258 only has an aewe-un- of 360, so that a single scale is sufficient for the entire operating range.
The ring can be adjusted at any time during the operation of the machine and allows a change in the separation size of the particles from one another in a ratio of 1:15 or more.
The accuracy of the classification brought about by the device according to the invention is achieved because certain of the factors discussed above are supplemented by the following circumstances.
First, the tan-ential air velocity and the angular velocity of the ends of the blades 158 and 160 in the classifying zone are carefully coordinated with one another. That is done that way.
that the tip diameter of the blades 144 is chosen to be sufficiently larger than the tip diameter of the blades 158 and 160 in order to compensate for the air speed losses as a result of the friction from the exit from the blades 144 to the entry into the blades 158 and 160 .
This relationship is a function of the dimensions of the parts, and once the correct dimensional relationships are in place, the correct relationship between the speeds will be obtained, regardless of fluctuations in rotor speed. Dcnizufol-e i, t precise speed control of the device is not necessary.
In a similar way, the tip diameter of the drive shovels 156 for the feed material is made sufficiently large to compensate for the friction on the stop ring 202 for the feed material. The wear pattern of the blades 158 and 160 is clearly draining. whether the feeding speed is correct or not.
The free movement of the -1-parts in the @ classifying zone follows the same @ law. namely v.r = conatans, like the 1 = luieltini in the free turbulent line. The particles niü "cii; the backsides of the blades strike just within the region of the tips.
Although the relative speed difference is low. These impacts contribute to the dissolution of the target, or further comminution of the particles and thus achieve the accuracy of the classification target, or the selectivity.
As soon as a particle of separating greetings:, or below it, has hit the shovel, its "rangentiah = e, speed is thereby somewhat reduced, and it can then not fly through the outer zone 206 with its free turbulent flow, even if if it collided with another particle, it would have a low outward radial velocity.
A slightly larger particle that may have entered inner ring 208 and hit the back of a shovel. should be, would penetrate into the outer ring due to its greater inertia and reach the outlet for the coarse particles.
As already mentioned above, the cylindrical shape of the stop ring 202 ensures the entry of the particles into the classifying zone with a radial velocity of zero. whereby the accuracy of the classifying ink is ensured and the construction of the classifying zone is greatly simplified.
The fact. The fact that the stop cattle and its supporting structure, the ring 110, are fixed, is also important, because this results in a boundary layer realuna to eliminate the slipping of particles through the boundary layers into the wrong one Fraction. Since the ring 130 and the lip 182 form the outer classifying zone 206 and are stationary, the fluid within this zone rotates in a free turbulent flow in which the pressure decreases towards the vortex center.
The boundary layers on the stationary walls of the outer classifying zone therefore move towards the center of the zone.
If these walls were to rotate with the dike angular speed like the air in the feed slot 204, then they would have a higher speed than the air in all other places, and the boundary layer flow direction would then be reversed , that means radially outwards.
The walls of the inner classifying zone 208 have the same TanLentialgeschwindi-speed as the air, and since the required increase in zone height is large enough here to increase the total flow rate with decreasing radius. there is little diffusion. The boundary layer therefore moves radially outward on these walls towards the feed slot 204.
As a result, the particles that have become entangled in the boundary layers (in which the classification run #, sLleich-ewielit cannot be maintained), both from the outer zone 206 and from the inner zone 208 to the middle of the classification zone to conveyed towards the feed slot 204.
There the particles get back into the main air flow. namely by the ventilation air which flows through the feed slot 204 and the clearance 186. When these particles return to the main stream of air, they are again subject to the actual hiding forces and finally collect. depending on their size, in the Austra; = aspirals for the fine or the coarse particles.
Likewise, the accuracy of the sanctification is essentially devastated. The particles of the collected material are introduced into the raised zone in an essentially uniform circle.
due to the use of the distributor baffles 15-1. In the absence of such baffles, the feed pipes 1-1 () would generate individual particle streams, which reduce the radial air flow in the hollow zone,
where they occur. while the air in the spaces between these particle cores owing to the increase in the pressure drop. caused by the particle atroma.RTI ID = "0005.0191" WI = "18" HE = "3" LX = "1458" LY = "2767"> be, clilet! would not be. .from this condition results.
that the accuracy of the classification is reduced in comparison with the uniform distribution of the feed material, as achieved by the previous invention.
As you can see, the device according to the invention is designed in such a way that a build-up of particles, which leads to clogging or clogging of the device, a reduction in the degree of effectiveness or the selectivity and cleaning problems, is avoided in all areas. The stationary surfaces exposed to the main air flow are swept clean by the air sweeping over them.
All of the rotating surfaces projecting from the rotor axis are inclined to this axis to a radius at an angle of less than 45 '. The affected rotor surfaces 264, 266 and 268 are therefore all conical and have an inclination of approximately 30-40 'to the rotor axis.
The discharge slots that lead to the spirals 30 and 34. are only interrupted by so-called islands, which are large enough to accommodate the screws required for the assembly and, in the case of the discharge spiral 30. the holes for the flow of the sealing or ventilation air.
In order to facilitate the free flow through of the air and the particles entrained into the discharge spirals 30 and 3.1, the blades or baffles or webs which extend across the opening are to be used. stretch, streamlined and set at an angle. which coincides with the velocity vector of the air flowing into the slot.
The free flow of air is also ensured by the shape of the discharge spirals or diffusers 30 and 34, the total cross-sectional area of which gradually increases. As a result, the air speed in the disk is kept constant with a constant flight through all parts of the slots 92 and 100. In the whole device, the air speed is kept well above the required minimum.
In order to separate the particles from ventilation air before they are finally discharged, the cyclones 32 and 32 are provided with downwardly directed discharge nozzles for the particles. The cyclones are constructed in such a way that the Outlet nozzles are at atmospheric pressure and no blowing effect occurs, even if open vessels are used to take in the coarse and fine fractions.
The pure air escapes through furrowed openings at the top of the Zvklone.
In most cases, small devices are sufficient for the discharge. For the larger units e. ie: even preferable. Grid separators of the in Fi .; 7, designated type to be used.
In some cases - "-, n c -spring Z%: clones or grid separators have a sufficient effect.
In such cases, bag filters or other bag filters can be added to the air outlet of the cyclones. -

For operation with a liquid as the working medium instead of a gas, the upper cover 120 is removed and replaced by a container 272 (FIG. 9) for the liquid. The liquid has to be topped up continuously in order to compensate for the losses through the Austra cyclones.
When the discharged liquid is sufficiently purified, it is put back into circulation. Otherwise, fresh liquid must be added in order to maintain the level of the liquid at the level indicated by the line 274 in FIG. A suitable supply pipe 276 and an overflow pipe 278 can also be attached.
Openings 280 in the feed hopper allow a sufficient amount of liquid to flow into the hopper to suspend the feed therein and convey the same to the classifying zone.
If such a suspension is already present, it can be introduced into the feed funnel at a speed which is only limited by the pressure above the openings 280 and which must always be high enough to maintain the flow into the funnel becomes. For this purpose, the level of the liquid inside the feed funnel must be kept below the level of the liquid outside it.
