P2' in Verbindung steht.
Liquid valve assembly The present invention relates to a liquid valve assembly; H. a valve arrangement which serves to throttle and shut off a flow of liquid.
Many types of valve assemblies used to control a flow of liquid have already been proposed. Although these earlier proposals were more or less useful, they often have disadvantages in that they are complicated and subject to great wear and tear.
In contrast, the present invention relates to an improved liquid valve arrangement which is said to be characterized by simplicity of construction and improved wear behavior.
The valve arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that it has a valve housing with a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet opening, in which housing a chamber communicating with the openings is present, which is separated from one of the openings by a baffle with liquid passage , wherein the passage has a valve seat at its end directed towards the chamber, on which a valve ball arranged in the chamber is movably provided, further that a support is provided for actuating the valve ball in the chamber,
which in the locked position presses the otherwise freely rotatable valve ball onto the seat, which support is connected to one end of a drive element, which extends out of the housing at the other end and causes the support to move against the valve ball by rotation, so that the ball is pressed onto the seat.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section of a first embodiment of a constructed liquid valve arrangement, FIG. 2 shows a section along line 2-2 in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a vertical section of a modified version - guidance of a liquid valve arrangement,
Fig. 4 is a partially drawn side view of a detail and Fig. 5 is a side view similar to Fig. 4 of a modified form.
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the valve arrangement shown has a valve housing 50 which has a liquid inlet opening P1 and a liquid outlet opening P2. This last outlet opening P2 is located at a certain distance from the liquid inlet opening P1. Inside the housing 50 there is a space 10 which is connected to the openings P 1 and P2.
The lower wall 30 of the valve housing 50 serves together with a baffle wall 18, which is arranged inside the housing, to form a passage in the housing between the opening P1 and the space 10. This passage comprises a bore 19 penetrating the baffle wall 18; the end facing the space 10 has a valve seat 19a be seated, which can be made of a different material.
The valve member of the valve arrangement has a Ku gel 23 which is arranged in the housing 10. As will be described in more detail later, the ball 23 is movably arranged in the housing with respect to the valve seat 19a. To control the movement of the ball, a support 52 is provided which is movably arranged within the housing. This support 52 can be pressed against the ball 23 so that it is pressed into the closed position on the valve seat 19a.
At the same time, however, it allows the ball 23 to rotate when it is not in contact with the valve seat 19a.
In order to be able to operate the inner movable parts from the outside, a movable control element 54 is provided. This control member 54 is connected to the support 52 and extends out of the housing 50 at the other end. The control member serves to adjust the support so that the ball 23 can be pressed onto the valve seat 19a. Means for sealing the control element 54 in the valve housing 50 are also provided.
The parts described so far are common to all embodiments of the invention.
In the special embodiment of FIG. 1, the valve housing 50 has a lower part which is generally T-shaped. This lower part comprises the vertical cylindrical part 11 and the laterally protruding connection parts 21 and 22, which are combined by the lower housing wall 30. The connecting parts 21 and 22 are conventionally ausgebil det and have coaxial, ver provided with internal threads bores 21a and 22a.
The space 10, which is delimited by the inside of the vertical, cylindrical part 11, is separated from the liquid inlet opening P1 by the baffle 18. This baffle 18 divides the lower cavity of the valve housing 50 into two chambers 20a and 20b and extends parallel to the common axis of the connecting parts 21 and 22 projecting in front of them.
To support the baffle 18, a vertical wall part 17a is easily seen. The liquid can flow inwards through the opening P1 into the chamber 20b and then through the bore 19 into the chamber 20a, which chamber 20a is directly connected to the opening P2.
At the same time, the chamber 10, which is formed by the hollow interior of the vertical cylindrical part 11 of the housing 50, is in communication through the bore 19 and chamber 20b with the opening P1 and through the chamber 20a with the opening P2.
The upper end of the bore 19, which is in the region of the chamber 10, forms a valve seat for the ball 23. The baffle wall 18 is preferably formed so that its part present at the upper outer end of the bore 19 can accommodate the spherical valve member. For this purpose, this end part of the wall of the bore 19 can be recessed spherically or have another suitable shape which hugs the spherical surface in a sealing manner.
In FIG. 1, the ball 23, which forms the spherical valve member, is shown in a contact position with the valve seat 19a, in which the bore 19 is blocked or closed. In this position of the ball, the liquid entering through opening P1 cannot exit through opening P2,
since the liquid passage is blocked by the spherical valve member 23. The support 52 is used to hold this spherical valve member 23 in this blocking position. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, this support comprises a cylindrical plunger 24 which is arranged to be slidable within the cylindrical chamber 10.
The plunger 24 has a spherical end face 25 which comes into contact with the ball 23. The control element 54 serves to move the plunger 24 upwards and downwards, as shown in FIG. 1, so that the ball 23 can be lifted off the associated valve seat 19a.
Before the control member 54 is described in more detail, reference is made to the cap or the closure part of the housing 50. From Fig. 1 it is ersicht Lich that the cylindrical part 11 has an annular flange 11a which protrudes laterally with respect to the cylindrical housing part 11. On the flange 11a a plate 12 with a hub part 15 is arranged, wel cher hub part 15 extends upwards.
The plate 12 is provided with bores distributed around the circumference, which are coaxially to corresponding threaded bores of the flange 11a, whereby threaded bolts 13 with screw heads 14 extend through the bores, which bolts 13 firmly connect the plate 12 to the flange 11a. It is also possible to arrange a sealing ring 57 between the plate 12 and the flange 11a. To accommodate the sealing ring 57, the flange 11a and the plate 12 have a recess.
The hub part 15 of the plate 12 is provided with an axial bore 15a which has a lower thread part 15b. In addition, the hub part 15 has an external thread 15c onto which a cap 16 is screwed.
A sealing washer 59 is inserted between the cap 16 and the upper end 15d of the hub 15. This sealing washer includes the shaft 26 of the STEU erorganes 54 and seals the transition from the axial movement of the shaft.
The shaft 26 has an enlarged, threaded part 27 which is screwed into the threaded part 15b of the hub 15. In addition, the shaft 26 has an enlarged head 26a at its lower end.
In the described manner it is achieved that upon rotation of the shaft 26 in one direction, e.g. B. with a suitable handle (not shown) the head 26a is moved downward in the direction of the valve seat 19a. When the shaft 26 is rotated in the other direction, the head 26a moves upward away from the valve seat.
The head 26a works with the plunger 24 men by a rotatable hitch is provided between the parts. As can be seen in more detail from FIG. 2, the plunger 24 has a slotted recess. The slotted recess comprises a tapered upper part 24b and an enlarged lower part 24a, which parts comprise the head 26a of the shaft 26 and and / or the adjacent lower part of the shaft itself. The rotatable coupling between the shaft 26 and the plunger 24 is designed such that the movement of the plunger changes depending on the direction of rotation of the shaft.
This tappet 24 presses the ball 23 firmly onto the seat 19a when the shaft 26 is actuated.
In the device described, the control of the liquid flow through the valve by the movement of the control member 54 is effected. When the shaft 26 is rotated in one direction, the head 26a is moved upward so that the plunger 24 is also displaced upward.
With this upward movement, the valve ball 23 is lifted off the seat 19a, so that the liquid flowing through the opening P1 flows freely through the bore 19 to the opening P2. The liquid flowing through the bore 19 comes into contact with the aforementioned valve ball 23, so that it is freely rotated during normal liquid passage.
If the valve is to be closed again, the valve ball 23 will assume a different position on the seat 19a, as on the occasion of the previous closed position, i. H. another point on the circumference of the ball will come to rest against the valve seat.
This ensures that the wear on the valve ball is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the ball. It should also be noted that any irregularities in the seat surface or the spherical surface have no effect on the seal of the valve, as it is unlikely that they will come into contact with the same point on the surface more than once.
In addition to the closing effect of the valve ball 23, an additional lock is provided according to the embodiment of FIG. In space 10, a log device disk 28 is arranged, which is in contact with the outer surface of the plunger 24 and with the inner surface of the walls of the space 10 and thus forms a friction barrier between these surfaces. At least one of the adjacent surfaces is provided with an adjustment groove 29 in which the sealing washer 28 is received. This adjustment groove 29 is preferably semicircular in cross section ausgebil det and extends over the entire length.
This additional lock works perfectly, so that the otherwise usual complicated locking devices are not required even if the valve arrangement is used in connection with liquid or gaseous media under high pressure.
A variant of the valve arrangement described is shown in FIG. This valve arrangement partially corresponds to the embodiment shown in FIG. The housing 50 'comprises a vertical cylindrical part 111 which is equipped with connecting parts 121 and 122 protruding on both sides. The connection parts 121 and 122 are connected to one another by means of a lower housing wall 130. In addition, the cylindrical part 111 delimits a cylindrical inner chamber 110 which is connected to inlet openings P1 'and P2'.
Furthermore, a baffle wall 118 with a bore 119 is provided and this baffle wall divides the lower hollow part of the housing between the openings P1 'and P2' into two chambers 20a and 29b '.
In contrast to the construction according to FIG. 1, the construction according to FIG. 3 does not have a flange at the upper end of the cylindrical part 111 of the housing 50 ', but is provided with an external thread 151. A cap 113, which in turn holds a hub part 115 in place, is screwed onto the thread. This hub part 115 has a base plate 112 with a laterally projecting peripheral flange 112a.
The peripheral flange 112a is supported against the upper edge 111a of the cylindrical part 111 and is encompassed by the underside 113a of the crown part of a cap 113 open in the middle. This cap 113 is screwed onto the thread 151 in order to secure the flange on the upper edge 111a of the cylindrical part 111. The hub portion 115 is provided with a central bore, which bore has an upper part 115a and a threaded lower part 115b.
The shaft 126, which corresponds to the shaft 26 of FIG. 1, extends through the hub part 115 with its threaded part 127, which is screwed into the threaded part 115b. An additional, open in the middle cap 116 with internal thread 117 is screwed onto the hub part 115 provided with external thread 115e. The hub part 115 has a recess at 115f in which a sealing washer 116a is received. This sealing washer can be designed as a conventional seal or can have a sealing edge that interacts with the additional cap 116.
Independent of the described details of the seal, the actuation of the shaft 126 generally corresponds to the actuation of the shaft 26. In addition, according to the embodiment of FIG. 3, the valve ball 123 is controlled in the same way as the valve ball 23.
The main difference between the arrangement according to FIG. 1 and the variant according to FIG. 3 lies in the construction of the support 52 '. This support 52 'comprises a plunger 124 which is cylindrical or has another useful shape. The plunger is arranged within the cylindrical part 110 so that it can be moved up and down.
Furthermore, the support is provided with a shoulder 9 which protrudes forwards in relation to the tappet 124 in the direction of the valve seat 119a. A holder 60 is provided at the lower end of the extension 9. This holder comprises a retaining ring 7 which is carried on the lower part of the extension 9 facing away from the plunger. This retaining ring 7 partially blocks the lower end of the approach.
According to this embodiment, the support is designed as a cage for the valve ball 123. In this sense, the extension 9 comprises the valve ball 123, which is held loosely in the interior 8 of the extension so that it can move freely.
At the lower end of the cage, the holder 60 is arranged, which includes the valve ball 123 in such a way that part of it protrudes downward from the holder, while the majority of the valve ball is located in the cage within the holder. In this context, it should be noted that the lower part of the valve ball 23 protrudes beyond the extension 9, while most of the ball 123 is arranged within the hollow inner space 8 of the extension 9.
The extension 9 is preferably formed in one piece with the plunger 124. In this way, with a movement of the plunger 124, the extension 9 and the holder connected to it are moved upwards or downwards. For this purpose, the plunger 124 is hen with slotted upper and lower recesses 24a and 24b verses, which recesses have been described in connection with FIGS. The lower part of the shaft 126 and the head 126a cooperate with this recess in a manner similar to how the shaft 26 and the head 26a cooperate with the similar recess parts 24a and 24b.
From the preceding explanations it follows that if the shaft 126 is rotated in one direction, the plunger 124 experiences an upward movement. During this upward movement, the valve ball 123 is lifted from the seat 119a and moved in the axial direction towards the bore 119. During the closing movement of the shaft 126, the surface 125 of the tappet 124 presses the valve ball 123 downward and presses it onto the valve seat 119a.
In the manner described, the plunger 124 acts as a buffer member which comes into contact with the valve ball and presses it onto the valve seat. The tappet 124 is connected to the drive means, namely to the shaft 126, and thus executes a movement with respect to the valve seat. The cage is connected to the plunger and carries out its movements with it.
In this way, the cage moves the valve ball 123 in one direction, in the sense of lifting off the valve seat as a result of a corresponding movement of the stem, while the plunger transfers the opposite movement of the stem to the Ventilku gel and presses it onto the valve seat .
If desired, the inner part of the extension 9 can be provided with recesses 31. Such recesses and / or lugs are suitable for allowing the valve ball 123 to rotate freely while fluid is flowing through the valve arrangement.
In. 4 and 5 other modified versions of the support are shown. In any case, this support comprises a cage and an impactor. In Fig. 4, a cage 90 and in Fig. 5, a cage 90 'is seen easily. The cages 90 and 90 'are formed quite similarly, with the same parts being given the same reference characters.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 4, the cage 90 showed a holder 60 'in the form of a ring 103. In addition, the cage is provided with a coupling member 92 which is arranged at a distance from but coaxially with the ring. A number of rod members 104 extend between the ring 103 and the coupling member 92 and form a cage for the valve ball 123.
The rod members 104 are bent first outwards and then inwards so that they loosely encompass most of the valve ball 123 between the ring 103 and the coupling member 92. This mounting of the valve ball 123 within the cage is similar to the mounting shown in FIG. 3. The holder 60 'has the same function as the holder 60.
In order to be able to move the cage 90 of FIG. 4, the coupling member 92 comprises a ring which comprises the shaft 126 ′. This shaft is designed similarly to the described shaft 26 or 126. It has a head 126a ′, which is arranged below the coupling member 92. In this case, the shock member is formed on the lower part of the shaft 126 'on the head 126a. The shaft 126 'is slidably guided in the annular coupling member 92 and the head 126a' is located within the cage 90.
A fixed spring 132 extends downward from the head 126a. The lower end of this spring 132 is directed against the upper surface of the valve ball 123 and can be brought into connection therewith.
If the support shown in FIG. 4 is used instead of the support shown in FIGS. 1 or 3, when the shaft 126 'rotates, the head 126a' is moved upwards or downwards within the cage 90. The spring 132 comes into contact with the valve ball 123 and presses it onto the associated valve seat.
The closing pressure with which the valve ball is pressed onto the seat corresponds to the pressure of the more or less compressed spring. When the spring 132 is fully compressed, the valve ball is pressed onto the seat with maximum force, so that the fluid passage is completely blocked. On the other hand, the valve ball acts as a return.
impact valve when the spring 132 is only partially compressed so that there is still a spring deflection. In the case of liquids that have a pressure below a certain vorbe value, the valve remains closed, but will open when the pressure of the entering liquid overruns the predetermined pressure. This predetermined value is determined by the closing force of the spring 132.
When the inflowing liquid exerts a pressure on the valve ball 123 which exceeds the spring closing pressure, the valve ball is lifted from its seat and the liquid passage is opened.
In. FIG. 5 shows a variant in which the spring 132 has been replaced. In this version, the cage is kept shorter and has no spring. The mode of operation of this training is similar to that of the embodiment described in FIG. The valve ball is, however, pressed onto the seat by the actuation of the head 126a '. In this case, the head 126 ″ serves as a buffer, the upper part of the shaft 126 and the thread of the same forming the drive means for actuating the head.
The various components of the liquid valve assembly described can be made of any Ma materials such. B. plastics, metals, etc., are produced. According to a preferred embodiment, the valve ball 123 is made of a resilient material.
Under certain circumstances, he may wish to design the valve seat 19a or 119a as a ring with a spherical cap-shaped surface, which in turn can be made of plastic, metal or other material. The surface of the ring corresponds to the spherical surface, so that a particularly good seal is achieved when the valve is closed. In most cases, however, it is not necessary to provide this special design of the valve seat.
Rather, it is sufficient to design the upper edge of the wall of the bore 19 or 119 as a valve seat, but without using a special shape. Although the passages were assumed to be individual openings or lines in the preceding description, these passages can also be formed by several openings. It is also possible to make other changes without going beyond the scope of the invention.
